Farm for your Life in this zombie flavored farming game! Cultivate your farm, trade resources and manage your restaurant all while fending off roaming zombies.
Agree with Rydalgal on every point, except I only lasted fifteen minutes. If this game is intended for children I can't see it holding their interest for long. If it's intended for adults, mostly ditto. And what's with the characters' enormous wobbling heads, and the blue blobs every time they talk to one another? I was going to hang out for the zombies....but sadly I couldn't be bothered. They can overrun my farm if they like, although I hope the cow survives.
After reading the reviews I decided to overlook the ostrich/emu mix-up and give this one a try, as I enjoy World Mosaics and it seemed similar. But then I got to the koala which was described as "the most harmless bear" - the koala is NOT a bear, it's a marsupial. Really, there is no excuse for this sloppy research. I'm quitting this one before I discover wild elephants roaming the European countryside or something equally ridiculous. I also sorely missed the autofill when you have completed a line. Too much unnecessary clicking to complete the puzzle. Nope, not a must-have for this koala.
I don't recommend this game.

Banana Bugs
Banana-hungry bugs are ravaging the village food supply and you’re the only monkey brave enough to take them on in Banana Bugs!
Like other players I finally decided to check this out because it kept popping up on my Games You'll Love (a statement I generally treat with extreme caution). I couldn't work out the gameplay at first. It crashed the first time I played it and I may have missed the tutorial. Or I may just not have grasped what I was meant to be doing to begin with. I thought, this is stupid...but then I got it....and I was hooked too. It's fun and it's different and it's just...fun!
Plants Vs Zombies is one of my all-time favourite games. This game has a similar premise; the plants are ranged at the left of the screen and the zombies come at you from the right. Differences are that the plants don't shoot by themselves, you have to quickly choose which plant to use and where to aim, and the zombies jump from platform to platform to get to your seeds. No, there isn't much of a story, but there wasn't really in PvZ either now I think about it. Just killing zombies. And there's nothing wrong with that; after all, none of us wants zombies either on our lawn or stealing our seeds, do we?

I'm on level 12 and haven't had to buy anything, but I agree that it seems wrong to have a task that is designed purely to force you to spend money. There is no tutorial, you just have to work it out as you go along. (I'm still trying to work out how to zoom in and out on the farm view as I can't find the command for it. I've managed to do it accidentally a couple of times but instructions would be useful.) After I lost a couple of crops I worked out how to get things moving. I like games where you can use some strategy and you don't have to rely on frantic clicking to reach a goal, and this one fits the bill. I can't comment on its similarity or differences to Farmville as I don't do FB. It is very much a game where you drop in, play for a bit and come back a little later. A small gripe - I don't understand the point of spending the gold coins to complete a task ("finish in...."), such as building something, but then you still have to build it anyway to advance. Surely a task is either completed, or it isn't? Oh, and poor "husband" - he has a name, but during game play he is always referred to as "husband", whereas Jennifer is identified as Jennifer. Would have been nice if the poor fellow could be referred to by name! If fast-paced games are your thing, you probably won't like this one as the pace is pretty gentle. I started to enjoy it more once I'd worked out what to expect so if you think this game might be for you, be patient to begin with and you will soon start to reap the rewards.
I've bought a lot of farm TM games, including this one which is not destined to become one of my favourites. Having purchased the original TV Farm and lost interest in it half way through, I thought after reading the reviews that this one might be more to my liking. I was disappointed. My number one gripe with it: the tiny weeny little buildings that you have to have your glasses on to see, if you are visually challenged like I am. I found it impossible to tell which building did what and ended up just frantically clicking on them hoping I had whatever goods needed to activate that particular building. The even tinier little garden plots and the fine motor control needed to select the seeds and plant them and change seeds was another gripe, not to mention the almost microscopic inventory at the right hand side of the screen. The story line - well, I didn't see that there was one. It was just a TV producer or presenter (I forget which) and her crew traipsing around various sites with a really annoying, unfunny pig called Kenny. I also thought the game was rather short, although in view of the issues I had with it perhaps that wasn't such a bad thing. Why did I buy it? I'm starved for a really good TM game. Unfortunately this wasn't it.
I went back and trialled the CE having previously trialled RR2 and not bought. I'm still not going to buy it, but it is a pretty good game in many ways. The graphics are bright and crisp and I love the calypso music. The minuses for me are the same as RR1, it gets too hard to finish within time as the levels go on. I did eventually get a handle on the first one and finish it, but I found it more stressful than fun at higher levels, and I can see this one being the same for me. I find the constant use of the word "grab" annoying, as in "grab that toolkit", "grab a bucket", etc. Also I find it frustrating that Sara picks up the seed bag (or should I say, "grabs the seed bag"!), plants just one seed and then has to go back for another one. Anyway, although it's not for me I'd give it three and a half stars overall. if this game does it for you, and it obviously does for a lot of folks, enjoy and happy gaming.

Funny, quirky and different, it gets harder as you go along, so I don't agree that there is no challenge. There are instructions, but you need to be paying attention because there doesn't seem to be any way you can go back and repeat them. Having said that, the basic game play is pretty simple - move the zombie, eat the brains, dodge the humans and then turn them into zombies. I agree there should be a means of turning off/ turning down the music, as opposed to just turning off all sound, for those who like to play without music. (I usually leave it on, even if it's awful, but this is not bad.) I'm undecided as to whether I'll use a credit for it, but if you like zombie games give it a try.

Ordinary graphics. Ghastly music. A storyline so uninspiring I've forgotten what it was already. Unoriginal gameplay. Agree with the Danish reviewer about the facts and history. We can all research the Internet, why can't the game developers take an hour or so to do their historical research? Boring. Sorry.
I played the full hour demo, but just found it a bit too tedious overall. I'm also not into cutesy little made-up creatures. Not good enough for a purchase I'm afraid, despite the shortage of games other than hidden object.
