Yes, it's a fun little game, and has more going on than the first one which I also enjoyed. But oh dear, the lack of proof reading annoys me a lot. "Achievments", "promissed", "up their", just to name a few examples. The graphics were better; I noticed John has lost the tooth he used to have sticking up, and Mary looks considerably less cross-eyed. I felt that the story line was a bit unclear if you weren't familiar with the first one, and can someone please explain to me how Napoleon got in there, because I don't get it! Another annoyance I noticed; when queuing actions, if you have enough resources for say, one woodpile, it will let you select two and then cancel the second one when the worker starts on the first. All in all, it's fun, but some attention to detail would have improved it considerably.
I recommend this game!

If you're not a HOG fan, don't let that put you off
I dislike HOG as a rule - but I really loved this one! It's a little confusing to begin with, but stick with it. Your plane has crash-landed on a tropical island and you have to barter with the locals using items you earn by searching various scenes. Unlike most HOG games you don't have to search for a tiresomely long list of items to reap any reward. You do have to search the same scenes for the same items several times, but the items move around so it isn't easy. Minuses? Not many - the music is just a teensy bit repetitive, and don't do what I did and spend all your diamonds in a hurry, because then you have to buy more, with real money that is, although they're not expensive.
This is a bit like Island Tribe on speed. I like the fact that the workers move more quickly than in a lot of these style games, so there isn't a lot of sitting around waiting while the workers go chop-chop-chop or whatever. The music is truly awful. Worst music on any game ever in my opinion. I prefer to play my games with the music on, but not this one. There aren't enough clear sound effects to tell you what's going on, eg when a building has produced resources. Like other players I was annoyed when the pop-up window obscured where I was needing to click. I also found that the game has bugs. A couple of times the workers have got stuck chopping logs and won't stop. On other occasions they won't come out of the camp to do anything. When this happens I have to close the game entirely and re-start. Reeeeally annoying. I don't understand the point of clicking on the gnomes for extra time. Where is the timer bar? Am I missing something, because I can't see it. What is the point of gaining extra time if you can't see the timer bar? Oh, and the hero Gerald, couldn't they have made him...well, a bit more heroic? OK, I admit I bought it, because I'm not a HOG fan and I'm starved for new games. But I couldn't in all honesty recommend it. It could have been much better.
Embark on an epic journey across the Chinese Empire and build the greatest structure known to mankind - The Great Wall of China - in this exciting time management game.
I agree with other reviewers that the main frustrations are: 1. Inability to queue tasks 2. No timer on the buildings so you don't know how long until goods will be produced, which makes it hard to manage your time in what is after all a time management game And I personally didn't see the point to the dragon. It comes across destroying your buildings but there isn't any strategy you can use to combat this, you just have to keep mindlessly rebuilding. That said, it's enjoyable enough.
I thought the transport moved much quicker than in the Farm Frenzy games, and I liked the fact that there is a maximum of three levels for each machine. It is a little unclear in places (took me ages to work out how to use the armoury) and I don't quite see the point of all the balcony keys, the secretary etc. It ran pretty slow on my computer but the FF games were much worse. I don't like the fact that once you complete the game you can't go back and replay a level.
