Storyline:
You have been hired to go to various archeological dig sites, find rare Jade items and return them to the museum for donation to a new exhibit. Without this Jade Exhibit, the museum will close its doors for sure. It's now up to you to save the museum!
Graphics:
Pretty good considering your basically looking at a map, clicking on a lit circle - that's your level indicator, and playing a Mahjong game. The map of dig sites is very monochromatic in color.
Sound:
The music was very calm and relaxing but the side effects? TOTALLY had to turn w-a-a-ay down. When you match the tiles in the Mahjong game the side effects make a sound like an old man wheezing or sighing - very distracting and highly annoying! Ugh.
Game Play:
Each "dig site" is a Mahjong game. Once you finish the game you gain either a complete artifact or one of several pieces of artifacts that you must find, brush, clean and donate. How does all this happen? Because when you have successfully completed each level of Mahjong, you are awarded a tool - such as a set of brushes, cleaning supplies, repair supplies (to put several pieces of artifacts together). Once brushed, cleaned and repaired (if necessary), you donate the item to the Museum Director and it is cataloged, given a name and put on display.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I love Mahjong. In fact, I own several Mahjong games purchased from the BF site. The more unique, the better I like it. This not only tells a story, teaches you about the artifacts you find, but also gives you a job to complete. Unfortunately, it had only 3 tile selections. And the game was so easy I could probably do it blindfolded (not really, but you get the point, right?).
Someday I may add this game to my stash of Mahjong games, but it didn't have enough of a "wow" factor at the end of the game for me to rush right out and purchase it. DEFINITELY on my wish list though.
This Glam-ma says definitely try the demo, if you can get over the easiness of the game and limited number of tile selections, you might just really enjoy the game. It's free for an hour so go to it!

Was I playing a different game than everyone else? Because I am a seasoned Mahjong player, own several versions of the game I purchased from BF, and this has got to be the worst version I have ever played.
Storyline:
None
Graphics:
Ok. Background never changed. Tiles never changed.
Sound:
I turned it off.
Gameplay:
Usual Mahjong game with no bells or whistles or anything even remotely entertaining. And you had to be careful of the layouts or you would replay the same one over and over again. YOU have to choose the next layout and when you're done with the 6 on page 1 - YOU have to make sure you go to page 2. And, get this, you play layout 1 on page 2, game ends. It goes back to page 1 so you have to choose page 2 again and make sure you choose the next layout. NOTHING is automatic. Never seen anything like this before.
That pretty much says it all. This Glam-ma says go on and try it if you must but there are w-a-a-y better Mahjong games that BF has to offer.

Storyline:
Abraham Shadowy, a mechanical engineer, has purchased an old hotel. Little did the townspeople know it would turn into a huge success. Shadowy played upon the hotel's ancient history and promised guests that they would see "real ghosts". But, people started disappearing. And you were called in by your friend, James, to help investigate the cause. Is there something sinister afoot? Or is it all smoke and mirrors? Play the game to find out.
Graphics:
Although the colors were amazing, everything appropriate to the creepiness of each room, I was a bit disappointed. During the opening scene, we had major lip syncing with ... wait for it.... facial expressions. Always props to the devs when they add facial expressions to the lip syncing. However, during the game play, all lip syncing stopped. Then, you just had the characters standing, sitting, kneeling, whatever, and talking (through their nose? ears? fingers?). I absolutely dislike when a game starts with such promise and then regresses. By this dev and as many games as they've put out, it's greatly disappointing.
Sound:
Pretty good, I must say. Not great, but pretty good. The appropriate squeaks, crashes, booms, wails, etc. as appropriate for each situation. The music from the gramophone was non-existent as something came out of it. Hmmm. That could have been improved upon. If there was any background music, sorry, I had the volume turned down low (I just got two teeny puppies and they were asleep snuggled up next to me - so no extreme volume).
Game Play:
It was very interesting that you started out with a "light source" amulet looking thing but by the end of the demo (we had an amazing 90 minutes of demo and I finished with 20 minutes to spare) it was still not completely put together. There was a LOT of back and forthing but very worth it. In every room you c..ame to, you established if the spookiness and hauntedness of the Hotel was real or fake. Not gonna say - you have to play the demo at least.
The hint button takes a bit to recharge. It is extremely helpful, however, in that it will also transport you to the room you need to go to next. There is a diary, but as far as I could tell, didn't retain clues, just the same notes, pieces of paper you found. Redundant. There is a map in the form of a compass which is transportable and tells you where an active area is and where there is not. I don't know if it indicates when an area is finished because you do go back and forth a lot.
HOGs:
Pretty standard stuff. List of items to find with some interaction but not a lot. No going back and revisiting the same ones. Very easy to find the items you need. Had no problems whatsoever.
Mini Games:
Scattered here and about. I did not have to skip any (which is new for me) and found them all relatively easy, although sometimes it did take a bit to figure out exactly what to do.
CE Bling: Pretty standard fare
Strategy Guide (I didn't use it)
Bonus Game
Wallpapers - 9
Concept Art - 9
Music - 4 themes
Achievements - not sure how many, it appeared as if there were only 8, but that can't be right, can it?
Collection Room: I think the game description said there were 13 collectibles and I think I may have found 1. Not really sure. If I did only find 1 in almost 90 minutes of game play, I'm hoping that signifies a fairly long game.
Screensaver - 1
So, there you have it. This Glam-ma enjoyed the game. Didn't use the hint button to transport me about - I thought that was too much like cheating. Although the map made it a little too easy as well. I was intrigued by the game. What will we find out in the end? Is the hotel really haunted? Or is this some ploy with a more sinister end? This Glam-ma is definitely purchasing the game to find out - although I wish it offered more bling.

Vanessa (you) was a strange little girl. Kept to herself, and LOVED to play puzzles - all kinds of puzzles. She was a veritable GENIUS at them. One day, she found an odd little box. It wouldn't open. Hmmmm. Perhaps it's a puzzle. Well, years went by and Vanessa (you) were teased and tormented by the other kids at school. You were running away and the box FLEW out of Vanessa's hands and ...... opened. The whole city, her father, herself, her peers - everyone and everything was sucked into this little box. To save everyone - even her awful peers - Vanessa knew she had to solve ..... the ......only ...... puzzle ..... she ...... had..... never ...... been ...... able....... to ....... solve.
Graphics:
Terrible. Grainy. Worse than cartoony. Very monochromatic in color.
Sound:
Creepy and repetitive.
Gameplay:
Using your keyboard keys (I couldn't find a way to switch to mouse so this was a huge problem for me), you/Vanessa have to find your way to the exit of various rooms of this box. That's it. Turn the box upside, downside, sideways, however you need to. Just get to the exit, hit "enter" and your on your way to the next level. That's it. The whole enchilada.
I had a problem using the keyboard keys rather than the mouse - I guess I'm just not wired that way - lol. I found the game very boring and quit after about 15 minutes. I mean, seriously, can't you find something else for Vanessa to do besides go to the exit? Maybe further along in the game. I just couldn't take anymore and quit.
Just because this wasn't my cup of tea doesn't mean it won't be yours. So, this Glam-ma says please do try it - all you have to lose is an hour. And, for puzzle lovers, I think it will be a lot of fun.

You will probably love this game. Unfortunately, I know absolutely nothing about soccer, so the commentary, scoring, bonuses, etc. was all lost on me - lol.
Graphics:
Good - not stunning. No real backdrops other than the same old green - not even grass.
Sound:
No real music as I can recall but there was some commentary and the voice was clear, crisp and with a great accent (ladies, gotta love an accent - lol).
Game Play:
This was not your typical type of solitaire game, however, but more of a match game. Match the cards until you can't anymore and have to rely on the "deck'. If you make a "Perfect" - hurray for you. Most times, I found, when my shuffles were gone I had to replay the hand. Now, THAT was my choice. I could also have chosen to move on to the next level but I'm kind of OCD like that.
I enjoyed the game play thoroughly; however, I did feel at a disadvantage not knowing soccer terms, etc. Also, what does one do with your points? No store that I could tell. You do accrue wild cards as you play but that was pretty much it.
This Glam-ma says definitely give it a try. Especially soccer enthusiasts - I think you'll really enjoy this game. Great for everyone in the family but not a great challenge.

Storyline:
You are a fairly new Private Investigator solving a myriad of cases.
Graphics:
Again, ok. Nothing bright, cheery. Everything is rather dull and monochromatic.
Sound:
At first, I thought I had the wrong language chosen in "Options", but then figured out that WHEN there was talking going on it was actually just a garbled mess that we aren't meant to understand. Instead, we follow along with the written words. The music is fairly repetitive but definitely appropriate for a detective story.
Game Play:
This is part match 3 (M3) gaming. However, in such a way that you make strings of various objects (for example, footprints) to get map sections, or donuts to get symbols, or magnifying glasses to get fingerprints. All this is designed to help you make the final decision based on examining a piece of property, asking questions, ruling out people/areas. I know it sounds very confusing, but it's really not. By solving various crimes, you earn money and candy. You use the money/candy to buy items that will help you solve crimes or decorate your office. You can also use the money to update your personal look, as you create yours at the very beginning with minimal choices.
The tutorial is amazing. One of the best I've ever seen. It walks you through each and every part of the game play there is - and there is a lot.
Is this a game for Glam-ma? Not this one, I'm afraid. It's so very simplistic as to be boring. Yet, on the other hand, certain areas are still confusing to me. I'm just not that into detective stories in the present day. Maybe that's MY problem.
This Glam-ma thinks beginners will love this game, Intermediates and Experts - not so much. I don't think there is enough of a challenge for the more experienced player. Having said that, however, please, please, do try this free game. I think you will enjoy it. And you have nothing to lose just by trying it.

Storyline:
There was a planet called "orc". On it were the inhabitants called "Orics". Then, night overcame the planet and orics were imprisoned underneath in a dark, dark cave. Your job is to go into that cave and free the Orics and build them houses, etc.
Graphics:
The graphics, while not great, were good. Clear, crisp colors. No problems seeing what you needed - and that was the color of the squares you needed to match.
Sound:
I tend to tune things out. So, I apologize for not having a good grasp on the sounds. I don't believe there was music as much as sound effects. Plips, plops, that sort of thing.
Game Play:
I found this to be an interesting way of playing a match 3 game (M3). There are boxes containing different colored "Orics". At the top of the screen is the "drop box" that drops different colored "Orics" down and you must move it to the left, center or right and let it drop. You win the level by rescuing all the Orics. As you get further into the game, you will have to work around obstacles. For instance, small "hills" and "bumps" that your Oric coming from the drop box will bump and fall into a different direction that the one you wanted. Just keep an eye out and you will do fine. I also came across a wall that you have to destroy by matching 3 colors. If you don't break down the wall AND rescue the Orics you won't pass the level.
One thing I totally did not understand. Is when the conveyor belt on the right entered into the picture and started dropping colored "orics" into the game, why the alarm would sound (indicating you were too close to the "top" and the game would end, and suddenly game over. I had done nothing to jeopardize the game by letting my colored "orics" get too high so this totally confused me.
It is for that reason, being confused, that I would not purchase this game for myself. However, this Glam-ma thought it was a wonderful game. Lots of fun to play and definitely encourages to at least try it. I think you will enjoy it and probably figure out the things I could not. This Glam-ma says go for it.

Storyline:
Didn't quite get it. Somehow you entered into a portal that took you to this "other dimension" Once there, you have to build a tower and various other buildings but to what purpose? I didn't get it.
Graphics:
Surprisingly, graphics were good. Although tiny, you could make out the wizard, etc. by the clothes' colors, hats, mill blades running, etc.
Sound:
Very relaxing, calming. Didn't feel the need to tune it out at all.
Gameplay:
Now, this was very interesting. You had conversations with 2 characters throughout the demo. They would instruct you to go on certain quests and retrieve a particular object, etc. To do this you needed to make chains of 3 or more colored balls. The longer the chain the better the bonus you get. Then, once your quests are completed, you go to this gray diamond and click on it and ...... it builds......a tower for you.....a ship in the bay.
I played on the Adventure level, which always tells a story. But, this story I got bored with - fast. There was just so much talking going on. So very, very, very much talking that I started to skip it and go right to my quest.
For that reason listed above re the overload of talking, I chose to give only a 4 star rating.
This Glam-ma definitely thinks you should try this little gem of a game. You may find it as equally delightful as I did. In fact, I got that "oh no" feeling when the demo ended - what I refer to as my "wow" factor. If not for all the talking, this Glam-ma would certainly purchase this game. Try it - all you have to lose is an hour.

You are Mila, and it's up to you to help save the Dragons who are flying above Dragonia.
Graphics:
I wasn't expecting much here but, surprisingly, everything was stunningly beautiful. The dragons, even the power ups. I wish I could have freeze-framed some of the levels just to gaze upon them for a while. Wish there was a screensaver mode.
Sound:
Oh my goodness....so relaxing...so calming. Even when the power ups went off it was with such calm, almost a whisper. Nothing short of amazing.
Game play:
This is not a Match 3 (M3) that I've ever come across before. There are 5 or 6 rows of balls (on the backs of dragons) and in order to get your match 3 or better you have to drop colored balls from the row above to the row below. You can make "double matches" but not in the regular sense of game play. It doesn't mean 2 matches in a row. A "double match" occurs when you have made one match and another occurs as a result.
Power Ups:
There are many - in 3 categories - destructive, creative and passive (I apologize if I didn't get the names right). When earned, you are given the choice of 1 of 2 Power Ups. You get a description of what each will you. Once you choose, it lights up on the board showing the 3 types mentioned above. Choose wisely. While no Power Up is designed to harm your game play, some just work better than others.
Bonuses:
After every level of game play, the music speeds up, everything starts flashing (this gave me a headache) and you have seconds in which to make match 3's. It's very difficult. After several levels of game play, you go to a bonus level in which you can "accept" or "reject" a Quest (for want of a better word). It really is the easiest part of the game. You are shown a picture of a dragon's head and your job is to find that dragon and take a carefully placed photo of it's head. Be careful, some are very similar in color, with only a snippet of difference. For instance, there may be a green dragon's head but it may have a ribbon of gold or red flowing behind it. Make sure you get the correct dragon or you lose that shot. You earn up to 5 stars depending on how "on" your shot is.
The game play begins with only the choice of "Adventure" unlocked. However, you have to open "Options" in order to choose the "relaxed" mode of play. This is NOT a very relaxing game because you have to move very, very quickly to drop those colored balls. You barely have time to think - you have to react - very quickly.
I would have given this game a 5 star Overall Rating except for the "flashing" period of time because it hurt my eyes and I know some people are very sensitive to any lights that are flashing, etc. So, PLEASE make a note of this. I also did not give it a 5 star Overall Rating because you react - you don't pick and choose and think of your next move. You have to constantly be doing something. I didn't find this relaxing at all.
This Glam-ma thinks this was a surprisingly fun game but because of the above issues (for me only), I will not be purchasing this game. However, I do hope you will at least try the Free Trial. I believe you will truly enjoy it. All you have to lose is an hour of your time.
This review is my unbiased opinion of this game - mine only. If this review was helpful to you, please click on the "yes" button below. If not, there is a "no" button as well. Seriously? You'd give your Glam-ma a "no". Just kidding.

Storyline:
You are Arok, a young man/boy, a cave dweller back, back, way back in the day. You've gone out hunting and, as luck would have it, you see a huge deer. But before you can sling your spear it runs off. Then, from the direction the deer has gone, a jaguar looking animal comes stalking in your direction. You take a step back and fall. There is an entrance to a cave behind you - you had seen a strange symbol on it and remembered your grandfather (?) telling you how art/drawing was important, that it not only told a story but much more. You throw yourself into the cave and half cover the entrance with a huge stone.h
Graphics:
3 D which is unusual in gameplay. I know a lot of people have problems when playing a 3D game. So, beware, it may cause motion sickness, dizziness. Having said that, I would expected a lot more coloring so was disappointed that everything was so dark and dismal (yes, I know, cave).
Sound:
Sorry, I tend to tune things out. I vaguely recall music directly in correlation to the time period. Nothing loud and annoying.
Gameplay:
Unfortunately, here is where everything went south for me. So south I left the country. Seriously, you are now inside a cave, a very dark cave. What do you do first? Find something to scare away the animal at the door to the cave? Or, build a fire? Or, make a light source? I can't answer it because I couldn't do anything. I could move around in a 360 degree circle (not the right number is it?), could be on the ceiling, whatever, that's supposedly one of the great benefits of playing with 3D characters. You can pick up objects almost everywhere. The picture will pop up in the top left-corner of the screen, but there is no way to retrieve that inventory.
There is no hint button, not even the ones I detest which only have limited numbers and then you have to catch a ghost, or kill the robber, whatever, to get more. There is also no map AND NO TUTORIAL. No strategy guide (well, it is an SE).
I simply could not figure out what to do, how to get to my inventory and use the items there. One reviewer compared it to a game that you had to really think and figure out your next move. I get that, my favorite game is exactly that kind of game and I loved it and would love more like it. However, even in that game I had to use my inventory items to progress. In this game, I cannot even access the inventory. Very confusing.
I wish I could have gotten into the real "meat" of the game because I think I would have truly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, that just wasn't meant to be.
Because of the above issues, this Glam-ma cannot in good conscience recommend this game.
This review is based on my unbiased opinion of the game - mine, and only mine. If this review was helpful, please click on the "yes" button below. If not, there is also a "no" button.
Happy Gaming.
I don't recommend this game.
