This is an eerie (but not gory) game which appears to be your average vampire saga but look deeper, play longer and you'll find it's someting else. Yes there are trances, wise helpful doctors and a graveyard but vampires? See for yourself. I highly recommend this game for its storyline, clear and colorful grapics, hauntingly appropriate sounds and excellent hint structure. Yes, some bits are trite or overdone but that's not a downer in a fantasy like this. My only negative (mild, that's why the "good" rating) is the large amount of running about and backtracking needed. The hint does show you the right direction, but it gets a bit tiresome. But don't let this put you off trying this eerie adventure.
I recommend this game!

Rolling Idols
Down with the talks about the Apocalypse! To break the Mayan prophecy and save the world all you need is to defeat Nibiru!
I'm a match 3 fan so I expected another fun but normal match 3. No way! This one challenges your meory, strategy and patience and that's just the opening rounds! You've got idol heads to match but must get those diamonds for more power and beware how you combine idols because their powers may adversly change those nearby. Powr-ups sure, but which one to get and in what order to max out the pyramid and weaken the evil enemy! I played the untimed mode but even there you are pressured to "go for the gold" on the timer as you'll need more points for buying powr-ups. Two flaws kept the game from total perfection. No instructions and the idols look very much alike so it's hard to see which one of a given color you're gonna use. But even with these downers, the game is fun and definitely worth a try for any m3 fan.
This is a very visually attractive game in a water color pastel way. The music is a relaxing piano piece wihch doesn't interfere with the puzzles. And they are puzzles, not a match 3. Each row must be filled with only one color. To do this, colors must be moved or eliminated by clicking on them. Sounds easy, and, in theory it is. But the levels get more crowded and as you have a limited number of moves, more intense. The fnatasy-like story is lenthly and narrated. However, two lage factors lowered my ratings for the game. The sky, whose perfection you're trying to restore is a muted yellowish-white at best fading to a muddy grey brown. The landscape is similar. I realize this is a fantasy world but restoration doesn't seem to beautify it at all. The other major flaw is the lack of clear directions and a needed tutorial (optional?). The game may appeal to seasoned puzzlers. There is a "time attack" mode but with limited moves in the "relaxed" mode, the tension can be as high. Give it a try puzzle fan, but if you're an m3 fan, this may not be for you.
I've played 40 min. of the demo and am considering buying but....The story is nothing new but well done with just the right amount of suspense. I found the music annoying but keeping it low did well as background. The graphics are well, sorta cartoonish (except the HO's# and many #especially aboard the airship# are dull colored and sometimes hard to distinguish items or areas. But hint recharges qickly, enjoy collecting golden blimps and the tutorial is actually helpful! The VO's are a bit over acted but given the eerie storyline, they work out fine. I'm gonna finish the demo and decide. The guide is good but doesn't have photos of puzzle solutions #so far) but does keep your place when closed and reopened. Give this one a try and weigh the pros and cons and you may find that it's a keeper!
A new take on a classic story. Here the Cinderella-like story si set in an almost real world with detectives, cameras etc. The music is suitably pleasant, the graphics clear and the fast recharging hints mostly helpful. While not as intricate as many and not gory or gothic as some, it's less than simplistic in the harder mode. Perhaps not challenging for top-notch expert HOG players, it's a relaxing chance for the rest of us to be a part of a timeless story. Give it a try whatever your level of expertise and you many find you enjoy it.
There's a lot to like about this game. The music is lovely and soothing (can be turned down/off at Options screen. The backgrounds look like giant Christmas cards showing warmly familliar Christmas scenes. I had high hopes for the game. But then, like many others, they threw in a timer without an option to play untimed. The tiles are fairly large but the white, silver and some of the gold tiles are sometimes hard to distinguish from each other. The difficulty rises steeply from an easy first level to dizzying complexity by lev. 3. But if timed games are your Mahjong thing, give this game a try. But for me, it was far to fast and too intricate for real enjoyment.
I recommend this game!

Alexander the Great: Secrets of Power
It’s up to you, a descendant of the ancient emperor, to collect powerful artifacts and save the world. Dive into the whirlpool of thrilling mysteries to unlock the secrets of ancient power!
I played 45 min. of the hour demo and feel I have a good idea of what's to come. There are difficulty choices but I played on Easy (which isn't all that easy!# and listened to enought of the music to silence it as it's jouncy repeated tune was a distraction for me, tho others may enjoy it's semi-Middle East/jazz flavor. Your character in the game is male, tho that's not indicated at sign-in so you're not given a name gender choice. The story, while the premise is interesting feels rather lame and contrived. Graphics are bright, colorful but HO's, not interactive, have somewhat blurred and very small objects. Often well hidden many don't seem to much resemble their type #cloak is a trenchcoat, etc.). A plus is that you can rotate around an area by nudging the edge of the screen or choose to change scenes in the normal way. There are other oddities, i. e. taking pictures of places and being able to send them to your friends, etc. but it's generally an interesting game. I suggest giving it a try but be ready for a no frills HO that has good potential.
The Void army stretches its hungry arms towards innocent villagers. Harness the power of the elements to protect the kingdom and bring peace back to the land!
An awesomly good combo of m3, rpg and strategy! Your m3 skills at last do more than bring points or build vilages (nothing bad about building, however). But rarely ifever have they been used as both weapon and funding for a tower defense game and the blend works very well. Enemies are kiled by the length and type of matches ad spells bought with the gold and levels you've collected. The story, while not innovative (so far# is well suited to the game theme. My only downer #and a slight one at that) is that often it's hard to find the smaller treasurers/spells left on the battlefield. But this may not hinder younger, stronger eyes and it certainly won't stop me from buying the game So if you're a m3 fan, rpg or siege player, try this one. You may find fun and challenge in whole new directions.
Mankind lives in terror as creatures of the darkness plague the continent. Travel this dangerous world, making unlikely allies and facing invincible foes in this exciting Role Playing Game.
I've played lotsa fine RPG's here and on consoles but the PC variety are usually poorly translated and frustratingly hard to control, ignoring the mouse and forcing players to fumble with the keyboard. But THIS game has it all! Good mouse input (with occasional keyboard use but those are usually labeled# a riveting story and very good translation. #Some spelling errors are minor and don't spoil the game's flow.) Thee's lots to do and side quests galore. If you're an RPG fan, rejoice, BF has found a great one. If you're new to RPG's try this out as it's not hard to get the basics and dive into the action. I very much recommend this game to veteran players and newbies alike.
Picross games can be fun and challenging and this one is just that. But clarity, clues and optional-use power-ups make it a true pleasure to play. For those needing a bit of extra help the power-ups are ideal and for those who don't need them, they don't have to be used at all. The colors are vibrant and the tiles look almost like bits of carpet. The only downer, the backgrounds in some levels are multi-colored and detailed sometimes making the gridlines hard to see. But that's a minor flaw in an othrwise super game! If you're a picross newbie or a veteran, this game's got something fun for you. Give it a try!
