Normally I am a fan of golf type solitaire games but this one left me with the "ho hums". No real challenge or excitement here. I played in normal mode, which is what I use for all golf type games, but it left me wondering when the real challenge is showing up. I did notice on initial start up that there are A LOT of games with this one. I thought Avalon Legends had plenty but Jewel Match puts that to shame. Graphics are ok and it would have been interesting to see the town that develops but I don't know if I could play that long without falling asleep. Maybe if I had used the other cards it would have been better. I used the older looking ones as opposed to the more modern design. I may still buy this one as soon as all the sales end and I can use a credit. Just not quite ready to put real money out. Play the demo and use both decks and try all the different modes and maybe you'll have more fun than I did. I have a little time left so I'm going back to try something different. BTW, I do recommend this one despite my lower rating.
This is another one of those games where you see all the 5 star ratings and think "this must be a pretty good game". Well it isn't. The game has some good points but not 5 star worth. Those reviewers must have lower standards than I do. Graphics are ok at best and the story line is a little lame and predictable. As far as any fear factor or "jump out of your seat" moments there aren't any. I found nothing scary at all. Again, others have lower standards. The HOs are a little annoying in that with the state of my eyesight some of the objects were hard to find but not too bad. Also, this is one of the shortest demo's ever. Not even half the time and it was finished. Bummer! I, personally, don't recommend this game but others might enjoy it so play the demo first and don't purchase just because of the 5 star ratings and have fun.
This is an ok match 3 game, better than most but not really great. Nice fun game for match 3 lovers with pretty good graphics. I like that there are 3 modes of play but I am always a casual player. I recommend this one for match 3 lovers but it's not quite for me.
This is one of the worst games I have played in a while. All you do is click and that gets boring after too long. No real story here and no challenge. Pass this one up.
I found nothing spectacular about this game and wonder why all the 5 stars. All you have to do is, cleverly, clear all the marbles from the center of the board. If you use your mind and plot your moves, this is not difficult. Certainly not any "Golly Gee" moments. I played the demo and that was all I could take before becoming bored. Might be great for some but not my cup of tea. I'm still going to recommend it just because it could be a nice relaxer game.
This is another game that starts with really poor graphics that never improve. Story line is lame at best and is not unique or new just the same as all the other not so good HO games. Characters are more comic than real and don't have a clue what is happening. Hard to follow story if there is one at all and very mediocre. Couldn't even finish the demo. I don't recommend this game at all.
When I play a game and I am completely bored within 5 minutes then I give up. That's what happened here. Town in distress and, of course, you are the only one who can help. Same scenario as hundreds before and hundreds to come. Characters are not drawn with any detail and the overall theme is dark and lifeless. Like I said I only played 5 minutes before giving up. Not a 5 or 4 star rating game at all. I don't recommend this one.
This is one of those games where you see all the 5 star reviews and think "this will be good" and then you get into the game and wonder, "what were they thinking?". Graphics are sloppy at best, you run all over to get anything done and you never feel like you are in the game. I played about 15 minutes of the demo and I'm done. I don't recommend this at all despite the 5 star reviews. They must have played a different version.
Played the demo and although I enjoyed the game I felt as if I was going nowhere. Nice challenges and games but takes forever to progress. Surprisingly, though, I wasn't bored. Graphics are great and well drawn with good detail. Characters actually looked and acted like real people and the voices matched the character. Not much else to say other than play the demo and have fun. I recommend this for the detail oriented players.
...the board was larger, the pieces fell slower, there was better pig control, etc., etc., etc. Just not a good game unless you are super fast and don't mind mindless graphics.
Played 2 different modes and there is no difference. Both are boring and illogical. Haven't played puzzle mode yet and I suspect that one will be the easiest one.
Heed the ratings on this one. I imagine there will be a 4 or 5 star out there eventually but don't heed those. Stick with the 1 and 2 star reviews.
Play the demo if you want but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are a glutton for mindless punishment, boredom and frustration.
