This has to be one of the most boring games I have ever played. Played for 9 minutes before I quit because there is no challenge here. You do the same thing every level! Like others said, glad they have relaxed mode because this game is slow. Only redeeming factor is the opening scene where the show the farm owners. At least they look sort of real. Some of these match 3's are good for kids but this one would even bore them. Developers need to hire some adults or at least people that think like adults. I don't recommend this one at all. I'm leaving it at 2 stars but that is being generous. Play the demo but try not to fall asleep. Have fun!
This has to be one of the lamest games I have ever played or at least that I can remember. Spent first 20 minutes fiddling around in the chasm which included almost 10 minutes rendering first aid to your injured leg and the next 20 + trying to get away from the ranger station. It's amazing that, with the severity of your injury and the splint on your leg, you can still get around without any help.
There is no logic in what you have to do other than find a bunch of stuff to get other stuff. Constant back and forth without advancing the story which I hate. The story line doesn't come together at all. An evil vine is taking over this island and it affects everyone but you (of course) and you must 'save the world' or at least your missing companions.
Some of the HO's are a waste of time. The worst has 5 categories and you have to complete all 5 to continue and it adds nothing to the game. The others are just there I guess to take up time.
The graphics are some of the worst I've seen in a long time. Well, not that long but they are bad and the characters have about as much personality as an eraser which should be used on this game.
I cannot recommend this game at all unless you like games with no point or clear objective.
This one starts off with nice graphics and a promise of a great game in the opening cutscene but from there it goes downhill. Most of the graphics are nice and have pretty good detail but that is probably the only real pro for this game. As soon as you enter the town you are immediately thrown in to the dreaded back and forth, back and forth finding things to open other things, etc., etc. This adds nothing to the story and wastes a lot of time that could be put into a better game. An added little bonus, though, is you get to pick your gender and will have that voice throughout the game. The Ho's are not that challenging and are fairly easy to figure out as are the mini games but, then again, they are just average. This was one of those games where I played the demo for a while, exited, came back later, played some more and repeated once again. Just couldn't get into it enough to stay in. I can't recommend this one even with the nice graphics and my little "helper". Wish he'd get turned back into the little boy he is. Play the demo and decide for yourself. Have fun!
I have the first Alice and it is one of my go to games for relaxation and now they have this one. Great graphics as the first and a good mix of puzzles to solve. I played in timed mode just because I forgot to turn it off but that's ok. You don't get anything if you beat the timer other than a little more money but I play for the puzzles. I like the different puzzles in this one and they range from easy to more difficult but all are fun. No real story line other than the familiar Alice in Wonderland and even that is very loosely followed here.
Play the demo and I think you puzzle lovers will like this one and even if you aren't a big puzzle fan you might find this relaxing. I highly recommend this one. Have fun!
Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova Collector’s Edition is an incredible adventure based on the true story of the first documented case of vampirism ever!
I was hoping this game would go more into the history of the first vampire attacks rather than just running after some dark figure. But turns out to not be that bad. Still learned a little of what's going on. Most of the outside graphics are on the amateurish side and are pretty grainy but some of the interior scenes were pretty detailed and above average. Game play is pretty straight forward with not a lot of the now popular back and forth junk and the HO's and mini games are fairly easy and actually help you through the story. I don't know if I would buy this one but it will go on my maybe list. I sort of recommend this if that is possible.
This isn't a bad game but it isn't a good one either. This is where I wish they had half star ratings because this is better than 2 but not quite 3. The cutscenes are ridiculous and don't really tie in other than the heroine's boss wants her to design and build a tall condo. Trouble is he keeps kidnapping her to get her to work. HO's are unique in how you go about doing them. Go from room to room, up and down, opening and closing doors to find all the objects. Some are easy and then some are more difficult. Not a favorite but still challenging especially when you have 3 of what you are looking for and each has a little difference and you need to find the correct one.
Based on the demo, I recommend this with reservations. Would I buy it? No, but might be perfect for someone else. Just play the demo and decide for yourself and don't rely solely on reviews. Have fun!
This has to be one of the worst HO games on Big Fish despite what the 4 and 5 stars say. The objects are almost impossible to find and, with only 3 hints. you waste all your time looking for one or two items. That's another thing, there isn't a casual untimed mode which you need with this game. I played half the demo and only got through half of level 3 before frustration took over. I am a big fan of GOOD HO games but this definitely is not one of them. The graphics are not that great and are way too busy for each scene which leads to the confusion and hair pulling. Again, despite the good ratings, the developers didn't get it this time. I do not recommend this game at all especially if you are a serious HO gamer and you like a good story. Play the demo before you decide. Have fun? Not with this game!
Read the reviews and thought this might be a good game for me. I was mistaken. Played the complete demo hoping the 4 and 5 star scenes and areas would show up but they didn't and I was disappointed. The graphics were pretty good and I really liked some of the scenes but there was just a little too much darkness to suit me. The 2 main characters were on the bland side but the rest were nicely drawn and fit there place in the story. HO's were just average and not that hard and the mini games were on the fun, but easy, side. That said we now come to the cons of this game and the biggest one is, of course, and here it comes, the constant back and forth finding things to unlock other things to...oh heck, you get what I mean especially if you are a serious HO gamer. Why can't developers have HO's and mini games that progress the story rather than just keep you running back and forth getting nowhere? That is my biggest gripe and keeps these games from higher ratings from me. I would not buy this one because, frankly, I already have too many that keep me going nowhere and I don't need any more. I can't recommend this one for that reason but some of you might think that is ok so have fun with it. Play the complete demo before you decide. Have fun!
I don't know what happened but this fell to a 2 star rating from the CE version. Same game play as the CE but the fun wasn't there. Graphics are still nice and a touch above average but that is where the good ends. I found myself falling into the now popular game play of the back and forth, back and forth and so on just to find "things" and to heck with the story. I can't see how this helps the game or helps the story along. It doesn't. The characters are fairly believable but, again, add nothing to the game. There isn't much to say good about this one other than the colors were nice and that's about it.
If you like the now familiar jumping back and forth for no real reason then this game is for you, if you don't then pass over this one. I can't recommend it this time despite what my CE review says but play the demo and decide for yourself. Have fun!
This game has everything I look for in a game. Story you can follow, characters that enhance the part they were drawn for and the game, graphics and scenery that adds to the joy of playing, HO's and puzzles that coax you along in the story, and no unnecessary back and forth junk.
I like the loose reference to The Wizard of Oz story and the fact that this wizard starts out mean as he did in the other stories. Maybe he'll turn into a really nice guy, too. Time will tell.
Of course good old Toto is there to help you in your quest. I only played the demo but this is going on my buy list.
I highly recommend this game and encourage you to read all the reviews.
