This style of solitaire is one of my favorites and usually I can play it for hours but not this one. Opening scenes are ridiculous and make no sense and the graphics are some of the worse I've seen in quite awhile. The game play is easy and there is no real challenge or extras at all. I became bored early but kept playing hoping the game would add some excitement. Only excitement I got was when I hit 'quit' knowing I didn't have to play anymore. If the graphics were better or game play had more challenge then I might have rated it higher but, sadly, they weren't, there wasn't, and I didn't. Play the demo and decide for yourself. I don't recommend this game despite the high ratings. Just isn't there. Have fun!
I'm a coffee nut so I figured I'd give this one a try. Everything on this demo board looked pretty nice, graphics, playing field, characters so I thought "what could go wrong?" I soon found out. First the opening scene was a little too far out for a little match 3 game and then it seemed to take forever to even get to the game. Game play is not that smooth. You have to make sure you click on the pieces to swap them and then you have to wait for that to finish before you can click again. Maybe I should have tried in fast mode because, no matter how fast I filled the orders, I could never get expert.
Graphics are ok in that this game is colorful and seems to be fast paced but I had to quit after 10 minutes because my frustration was building.
I am not a big match 3 fan and that might be why I don't rate it higher but it just wasn't there for me. I recommend this for match 3 lovers but not for others.
This is a TM I could really get into. I like the way it literally goes through the building of Rushmore from start to, I presume, finish. Nice little tidbits of folklore and history thrown in to keep it interesting. Didn't get to the finish in the demo though. The play is intense and you better be on your toes if you want 3 stars. Gets harder as you progress, naturally, and that is to be expected. Color and graphics are above average for a TM and the characters have surprising detail for being so small. This is one that goes on my tentative buy list and I recommend it for all you TM fans out there. Have fun!
As soon as i saw the opening scene I knew this was not a game I would enjoy let alone buy. The colors are a complete wash out and the characters are a joke. It is beyond my minuscule mind to try and figure out how a game this poor becomes the game of the day. The voice of the main character is annoying and is more of a haggled old witch than a handmaiden. The one other voice I heard was just as bad. The biggest drawback, other than the lame story line, is the graphics. It is as though they painted these colors on the easel and then went back over them with a damp cloth and wiped all the color off. Left everything with a sickening bluish tint with very little other color. Not pleasant at all. HO's are way below average and with the washed out colors some of the items are difficult to find. Mini games aren't any better. I'm not going to sit here and write an extremely long and unnecessary description of the game as I know someone else will so all I will say is save your credits or money for something better. Which would be almost any other HOG out there. Obviously, I do not recommend this game at all unless you are a fan of washed out tired games. Have fun? I doubt it.
From reading the reviews and the fact this is a collectors edition I thought I was in for a fun time management. I was wrong. You can play any good time management and get the same thrill as this one gave me which was HO-HUM! They are all the same and I have't seen a buyable one in quite awhile. Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy good time management games with a little flair but this one just didn't go there. Graphics are nice and the colors are bright and cheery and the characters move with purpose.
I recommend this with reservations. Good if you just want a time management but not so good if you want a thrill and some great action.
I'm a huge fan of good Mahjong games and this one fits the bill. Nice game play that gets harder the farther you progress, naturally, but not to the point of hair pulling. Get to a point of no matches you just shuffle. Of course you loose a lot of points but if you play to 3 stars you get most of them back.
Nice graphics on this one and the colors are nice and cheery.
I think all mahjong enthusiasts out there will like this one and want to add it to their line up. I know I am.
I highly recommend this one even if you aren't a big fan maybe for your kids or grandkids.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only reason I try match 3 is once in a blue moon a great one comes along that I enjoy. Sadly, this isn't the one. Very minimal instructions other than the little tutorial screen that pops up before each level showing you how to MATCH 3! Come on people, we know how to do it! Doesn't even have a skip button. Annoying. Plus each level is basically the same with very little differences and you do eventually get power ups (?) but they aren't great Every once in a while you collect some kind of relic but the demo doesn't go far enough to find out what you do with those. I played all but 5 minutes of the demo and that was enough because I caught myself falling asleep and when that happens I know it's time to quit. I don't recommend this game because the fun isn't there. Of course if you're having trouble falling asleep at night, play this game and you'll be out pretty quickly. Play the demo before you buy. Have fun!
I love playing golf style solitaire if they are done well. This one wasn't. The game play was lame with no real purpose or challenge. I played 15 minutes before becoming bored and opting out. Might have become more of a challenge deeper into the game but I wasn't going to waste my time finding out. Graphics were poor at best and the colors were dull and washed out. Did like the option of the larger numbered cards. My tired old eyes would have given up on the smaller ones. I don't recommend this game even for the golf solitaire lovers such as myself just because of the lack of imagination developers didn't put into this one. Play the demo and decide for yourself. Have fun!
Another typical HO game with the back and forth play that is so common these days. I will say, though, this isn't as bad as some and you actually progress through the story although slowly. One thing I liked about this one is you don't go through the game as "Ms. Douglas" you actually can give her a first name. However, mine is now Ms. Jim Douglas since you can't pick the gender. Oh well, I've seen worse. The Girabaldy brothers are illusionists, not magicians, there is a difference, but, unfortunately, one gets killed and you have to figure out who did it. Most, if not all, of the action takes place in the rich hosts building and you just go from room to room collecting clues. The HO's are a little above average and were not overly challenging and the mini games were interesting and added to the game in a positive way. Colors are great and have good detail and I felt the whole game was a pleasure to play. No dark scenery. I would recommend this game even though it is a little slow to progress and there is the inevitable back and forth. If you play the demo, I think you will find this a fun game. Not a great game, Just a fun one Have fun!
I am sort of a fan of marble poppers if they are done right and are a little challenging. This one isn't. It isn't good quality as far as graphics go and the whole game is just annoying. You pop the bubbles and that's it. Sometimes the tracks move but that isn't a challenge. Only thing that challenged me was that ridiculous noise Tiger makes when he pops some bubbles. Now that got to me. I don't recommend this one at all even for the popper lovers because I don't think you will enjoy it either.
Bur, play the demo and decide for yourself. Have fun!
