First of all, don't be scared by the negative reviews. This game has a LOT to offer.
Note that I have not completed this game because it will take months to do so. There are probably 30 different types of logic puzzles in this game. My favorites are the drop zone (select the letters in the correct order to build a new word) and link a pix (create a picture using logic).
In addition to the variety of puzzles, you also have a lot of languages to choose from, including a British and American flavor of English. This adds a nice personalization to the game.
A tip to make the most of this game is to select games that you can solve easily and build up a lot of hint tokens. After you have a lot of tokens saved up, you can tackle the crossword puzzles and other similar games where you will need lots of hints.
I recommend this game!

This game is challenging. You have to try to combine different things with other things to successfully get your knight to the end of the level. Some of the later levels are definite head-scratchers that not even the hints helped with. I just had to keep trying different combinations of things until something worked. Whoo!
This is not for your every day casual game player; these puzzles will tax your lateral thinking ability. Try items in lots of different places to succeed at a level, and save your coins for later levels. You will need them! :-)
I recommend this game!

This review is based upon the entire game.
This is the RPG genre that many of us RPG'iers LOVE and scour the internet for. What differentiates a game is whether it has enough game play and gimmicks to make us feel as if we spent our money wisely. This game succeeds in both areas.
The look and feel is a standard RPG look and feel. Characters are icons that travel around a map. You use the mouse or space bar to search areas for treasure or hidden items. Most games change the mouse icon to indicate a hot spot, but this game does not, which makes it a bit harder to identify secret locations. You have to keep on your toes and click on everything.
The storyline is interesting and different from other storylines in similar games. Your character is kidnapped at a young age and raised among strangers. As a teenager she finally is freed from her captors and the adventure progresses from there. Along the way, she meets many people and has the opportunity to help others out in the form of numerous side quests. Some of those quests have a morality factor in them that influence the success of your character later on.
The game took me well over 20 hours of game play to complete the game, and I did not succeed at completing all quests, so I will be playing the game through a second time.
The only grouch I had with the game was that I found the effects after a fight annoying and could not disable those. I do not care for music during my gameplay, and I always turn it off. I could not turn off that sound clip and it became so repetitive that I eventually turned sound off all together. However, it was a small thing, and did not detract from the game.
The combination of storyline and game mechanics along with game complexity make this an excellent game. It is well worth the money spent and I highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

This is your standard RPG based on the RPG gamemakers that some of us (myself included) are so fond of. What makes them good is a great story line and lots of secrets to hunt for.
The mouse works, the keyboard works, and you can turn off the music which is a HUGE deal for me; I hate background music.
There is some potty mouth talking here and there (using stars and other symbols), and some mistakes in the spelling, but it isn't too bad. I am not clinging to my seat to play this like I was the first one, but still I do look forward to my game playing time. :-)
This is the second part, BTW, and I highly recommend getting the first part so you can get the full story.
I recommend this game!

I own previous Sherlock Holmes games, and they are all fascinating. Adventure games are all about the storyline. You have to pay attention to the characters and what they say. You have to investigate your environment and click on everything. You have to combine items in your inventory and then figure out where they should be used.
This game is no exception.
Here you are playing as both Holmes and Watson in different parts of the game. Women in the Whitechapel area of London are being murdered, and Holmes is investigating, but not with the official sanction of the police. This leads to a bit of sneaking around.
The mouse controls work fine. Need a hint? Press space bar, which will light up your hot spots. Listen closely to Holmes and Watson when they talk. Frequently, they direct you to where to go and what to do next.
I am not done yet with this game. I believe I am about 4 hours in, and I feel like it was quite a good buy. Don't let the negative reviews chase you away, as this is an excellent game.
Special note to the Holmes enthusiasts (I am one, just FYI) - There are a few spots where the dialog does not quite match what Holmes would say. Brush past them. The game is still a blast.
I recommend this game!

The game was very dark, and I had a difficult time figuring out the next step I had to take. I progressed to the point of putting a torn picture or something together and spent a great deal of time just trying to drag the pieces around. The mechanics were just not user-friendly. The storyline also did not draw me in. I uninstalled the game after 1/2 hour.
I don't recommend this game.

RPG's are my genre, and I am picky about them. I expect a good story, interesting enemies, and a functioning mouse.
This RPG meets all three criteria.
I enjoyed the vernacular used in the stories, as I found it humorous. The storyline is interesting and did motivate me to complete the game to see how it turns out. I am also looking forward to the next chapter to see how the adventure progresses.
There were a few side quests, one of which I HAVE to mention. One injured townsperson will request that you hunt down a monster and take his horn. When you attack this monster, you will learn that it has an extremely high HP. Defeating this monster will take a long time, and the characters have a most amusing conversation just prior to the fight. I can honestly say this is a first as far as enemy battles goes. Very creative!
The mouse can do almost everything that the keyboard can do. The only place where that didn't happen was in finding hot spots. I could not click with the mouse on hot spots and have them recognized. I would have to move to the hot spot and press the space bar.
The game took 8 hours for me to complete. I am playing the game through a second time as I believe I missed a few side quests, so I imagine the true playing time for me will be closer to 10 hours for the game. Not bad for a game!
Overall, this was one of the better RPGs; it really got me involved in the story. Eagerly awaiting chapter 2!
As a note to the developer - you have a few spots where the grammar and spelling are incorrect. You should fix those and re-release this chapter. This is an excellent game which loses a bit of its luster because of those spots.
I recommend this game!

I think this is such a cute game! The little smiley faces look so cute when they are joined up, and they look so unhappy until you have them fixed up. I found the pictures just adorable.
Okay, gushing aside, this is actually a pretty good puzzle game too. The object of the game is to join the pieces together in a continuous line. The pieces have varying connectors, which may look like hands, or tentacles if it is a squid. Some of the connectors must be rotated to join them up, and some move on their own. You also have the option of joining the character over the stars to earn a bonus. To advance to the next level, all characters must have all of their hands joined up to other hands so that they are happy.
On some levels, you will have a heart board piece that you can place your characters on, and they will be happy even if you are unable to connect all of the hands. This is needed for levels where there is an uneven number of hands.
The challenge level is just right; you have to think and plan ahead, but I never felt rushed or stressed by the game play.
I plan to purchase this game.
I recommend this game!

I enjoy a good TMG if it is not too fast or stressful, as I am partial to the action/adventure genre, but this game was much too fast for me.
The object of the game is to click on items to build orders. I found that premaking certain items would help speed things along, but the game still moved at a pace I found more stressful than enjoyable. Since I was not able to play the 'relaxed' mode, I can't say if I would have enjoyed the game playing it in that mode.
This TMG is probably more suited for those who enjoy a very fast-paced game. I am not fond of fast-paced games, but I must admit to a curiosity as to how the story ends. As a daily deal, I might just purchase it and play a level here and there.

This review is based on the entire game. I purchased and played it through.
There are two cases in this game. The first case is short, which I would surmise is mostly for demo purposes. In that case, you are trying to stop a serial killer. The second case is much longer. In that one, you are trying to stop a bomber.
The game mechanics involve finding hot spots which may lead to solving puzzles or the typical HOS, which are the usual junkpiles with some thematic elements involved. Items in green were hidden in some way, under a box or in a drawer. Items in blue were scrambled words. Clicking on the item unscrambled the word. You could also click on the question marks hidden in the scene to unscramble the words for you.
There were some varied puzzles, but during interrogation of a criminal you had to play a type of majong, and during research of a person you played a type of tile switch puzzle. The tile switch puzzle was my favorite as you did have to give some thought to the puzzle to work out the solution. Both puzzles got harder as the game progressed.
This is a solid game. I really enjoyed it, and did not feel as if I was ripped off, or paid for a game that was too short. I am looking forward to the sequel.
I recommend this game!
