I was disappointed with this. I even had the CE version, but it really was a rerun of the original Princess Isabella a Witch's Curse. I don't think the second one is worth the money. Only get this one if you didn't get the first one.
It's an archeology fest, but it got very repetitive. I like HOs, but I tired of the tools - brush, hammer, and shovel. OK, that's what archeologists use, but it made me frustrated and sometimes bored. Oh, good, another use of the brush...
I can't decide if I really like this or not. I completed it the first time I played, then got stuck the second time and just quit. The premise is fun - find the items that are in the wrong historical period and fix them. It definitely has a "more to come" cliff hanger at the end, but that didn't bother me. Sometimes it does. It left questions, but not frustration. I liked this better than other flux games - maybe because I played it first.
I enjoyed the first one so much that I was happy to find this. There is a new lead character, but this game seemed shorter and less challenging than the first. Still enjoyable although I thought it had a little less humor.
I enjoyed this one. I shared it with a young niece and nephew and they got into it, too. Clever, funny, and cute illustration. Some corny humor and you need to remember where you saw something earlier, so a bit of backtracking. I liked playing this.
Interesting premise to find a potion to allow vampires in the sun. Fair amount of travel back and forth, but you can jump locations. Some interesting characters. Real problem? It leaves you hanging for part 2 of the story. Frustrating for that.
I recommend this game!

I bought the collector's edition. Didn't need the strategy guide at all, so the SE should be fine. Similar to the previous - find the tarot cards for hints. Your former partner leaves a trail of cards. Sound was ok but got repetitious. VO was fine and you could skip if you read faster than the VO. Fine for a no stress game.
I recommend this game!

Bonnie wants to write children's books, so the stories are familiar tales. You much find word in adjacent blocks. Not too difficult as a word game, but there are tricks along the way. No plot to speak of, except you spell and Bonnie then can write another "chapter."
If you don't really like vampires, this is a surprise. It's not creepy at all. The story is silly and the characters are a hoot. The innocence of the lead makes it fun to watch him realize what he is dealing with. I have played this multiple times, so one I really enjoyed.

Some good features: real and shadow world, voices, and underlying application of the idea of evil spells, BUT scenes are sometimes too shadowy (no color) to find things. Repeats some things you had to find and use, so that got old before I got done. I did need to use the walkthrough for a couple of the puzzles - I just got tired of doing them. Good length, though. I'm saying recommend, but with reservations.
