I had to use the blog a couple times rather than skip puzzles, as I really hate to skip them. Then I got to the end and it was a puzzle that I hate playing, so I had to skip the battle with the evil sorcerer! I won't say what type of puzzle, but it's one I just really dislike playing.
Plot was pretty usual, evil is trying to take over the world, in this case with a henchman and you are recruited by a secret society to solve the mystery of how and why. It's the first of a series, so I'll have to try the next to see if this is one I'll hunt for to add to my list of games.
You'll have to try it out for yourself.
I recommend this game!

I thought this would be a nice, pleasant game. The music is soft and good background, but the problem is that I found NO instructions for any puzzle. It was usually, "I have to have all the items." This was especially frustrating to know that I needed to fix the piano strings but could not find any way to manipulate them, not swapping, not drawing the end to where it needed to be, not identifying from the top of the pile. What's up with that? I've never skipped this many puzzles before. I won't play again.
I don't recommend this game.

I liked that this was relatively easy to play since I prefer to relax, not stress out, when I play games. The music was repetitive and got obnoxious after a while but I did generally like the graphics.
Watch out for weird clues in HOGs, e.g. watering bucket for watering can and razor for razor blade; also, at the end of many HOGs what you "found" was not something on the screen at all.
Overall, it was pretty good but not great. Lots of backtracking but the map usually lets you jump. I couldn't figure out why it sometimes would not let me do so. Also, features of CE's in this SE, such as four different collectables and a bonus chapter.
I recommend this game!

Good things: collectibles in each chapter and morphs in HOGs added interest.
Poor thing: some puzzles had poor instructions.
I used the map a lot.

Your daughter is taken by the evil Groth. You need to release captive souls on your way to rescue her. Puzzles got repetitive, so that's why I only rated a 3.

Go to Florence to help Leonardo Da Vinci. I liked the focus on his inventions, although his art plays a part as well. No spoiler, so I won't say who the villain is, but he is sufficiently both creepy and charismatic. Read the text as that's faster, although Leonardo's voice is good. I played on casual and you can't restart some of the puzzles. Bummer. Otherwise, I enjoyed it.
I recommend this game!

This is a not-too-hard game that is a nice time waster. Some of the puzzles are easy, none too hard. The HOGs have some items well hidden, but not impossible. NIce voiceover. Interesting premise with the paintings but somewhat abrupt ending.
I recommend this game!

I started out liking this one but the further I got into it, the less fun it seemed. Thank heavens for the map as you were always backtracking and any place that something was left to do was "live" even when you didn't have the needed supply. I did finish it, though.
I rate as only fair.
I don't recommend this game.

I've liked all of the Dana Knightstone games but this one was disappointing. Even with the Collector's edition, the guide says "random" without a clue how to solve some of the puzzles. You know what you need to do but not how to get there. I skipped multiple puzzles and I almost never do that. Frustrating. This is the weakest of the series. I hope they get back on track.
I recommend this game!

The tarot cards are a "hook" and you need to find them in every scene. Plot is ok. A nice one to play when you don't need too much challenge, just a simple time waster.
I recommend this game!
