The Agency of Anomalies games have everything, as reviewers have said; the right balance of puzzle, adventure and H0S with wonderful graphics.
H0S scenes are, once again, nicely divided between the usual list and interaction, silhouette and 'put the item in the appropriate place'. There are 31 collectible records to look out for and awards to win. And there's also humour. The music plays along nicely and the running backwards and forwards isn't excessive.
I always feel that I get my money's worth with these games and this one kept me happily entertained for hours.
This developer is one of my favourites when it comes to relaxing, cute games with nice graphics. The moment I saw it was Boutique Boulevard I knew I'd have to have it because I really enjoy Bistro Boulevard.
The gameplay is very similar, but obviously it's a fashion store (not my favourite kind of TM theme at all). The characters are nowhere near as appealing as those of the Bistro and I really can't get too excited about putting clothes together or placing them on a shelf. The other drag is, quite literally, that you have to drag an assistant to serve a customer, even when you have all staff in play. It would have been better to 'click' them there.
As with the Bistro game, you need to hit targets, complete tasks, train staff and make your store as appealing as possible.
I'll keep going, but it's not a patch on Bistro Boulevard and I'd rather they'd made the sequel to that than this so-and-so half offering. A bit disappointing.
I don't recommend this game.

Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring
Uncover the dark legacy hidden within a Romanian castle to save your friend from an evil spirit!
Looks like this is the first game by a new developer and, as such, I thought it was a pretty good first effort. There are some funny one-liners in this one, the graphics are good and the H0S are well spaced out and not too numerous (I counted 17). Items are quite easy to find. The map does let you jump to locations, but there is a slight delay.
Two downsides for me were that the music was the same throughout. Very dull and monotonous; really only a few notes played over and over again - the sort of background drone you would meditate to. The lack of voiceovers in a brand new game in this day and age also let it down.
If it hadn't been for those two elements I'd have given it 5 stars. Certainly, imo, a much better SE than a lot I've seen from some much more established developers.
Set a course for fast-paced fun in Shop-n-Spree: Shopping Paradise! Build and run a series of amazing internationally-themed malls in this exciting time-management game!
This is the third instalment of the Shop-N-Spree games that is part Time Management and part colourful, fun HOG. This time you're on an island and create different malls with a variety of items from around the world.
The only downside, for me, is that the scenes can get a little busy with all the colour, but once you get used to where everything is, it's a fun and quite easy game to play. Perfect for whiling away a few hours with the feel good factor. No dark and eerie in this one.
A city is left in ruin at the hands of a corrupt official, and you have been called in to rebuild it in this exciting new installment of the Be Rich franchise!
In my opinion this is the best of the Be Rich series so far. Beautiful buildings and graphics. There is so much to do. From trying to pass each level on Gold to collecting all the badges, snow globes etc to build the super blue print buildings, developing your Home and Company screen and building your own luxury home (one bit at a time). You simply do not get bored.
The game is timed, but you still progress even if you do not finish a level in the required time.
Admittedly, the tutorial could have been clearer on a few points, but it doesn't take long to get the hang of this and then you'll be closing the door and hanging up the "Do Not Disturb" sign.
I recommend this game!

Jo's Dream: Organic Coffee
Help make Jo’s dreams come true! Join her in a challenging journey to build a coffee shop. Learn to make different brews, take orders and manage staff!
This is a TM that grows on your as you progress. Even though it starts quite slowly, it becomes more challenging as more machines and food items become available. On relaxed mode it is not a mad dashing around game. Rather, it is more aimed towards upgrading your coffee shop, staff and renovating the building. This is a click only game, no dragging (major advantage).
Unsurprisingly, the more you pay your staff, the better they work for you. The graphics are excellent for a TM, the equipment and shop look great and the coffees and cakes delicious. The recipes aren't too difficult to memorise and there are two separate places from which you can recall them if you forget.
You customers have a unique language (reminiscent of the SIMs) and I'm sure I heard a few "Aloha"s and "Hola"s in there. Overall, very nicely done, cute and funny.
Travel from the deepest trenches of the Atlantic Ocean to the awe-inspiring wonders of Mars as you solve the greatest archeological puzzle known to man: the origin of Atlantis.
If you enjoy sci-fi movies and love iHOGs/HOPAs I think you'll like this game. The visuals are superb with very realistic cut scenes. I loved the storyline and had a tear in my eye at the ending.
The hidden object scenes were clear, the items not difficult to find. There are only around 17 HOS in the main game and 7 in the bonus. The puzzles are on the easy side. There are some additional items to find throughout the game.
The map lets you skip from place to place, cutting out all of the running around. Of course, you don't have to use this if you want to play the traditional way. The only downside was that I finished the main game in just over 3 hours so it seems a little on the short side, but that is probably mostly due to the fact that I did teleport for the most part.
This game should really be called a Puzzle Hidden Object Game (or PHOG), because I counted an amazing 40 puzzles in the main game and 12 in the bonus - puzzle gamers should love this one (I'm not complaining!).
There are around 22 H0S scenes in the main game and around 9 in the bonus. They are a mixture of traditional list H0S, "Find All of One Item" and "Return Item To Its Proper Place", which makes for good variety and ensures you don't get bored.
The Hint button refreshes very quickly and there are no click penalties. There is some running around towards the end, but the scenes load immediately with no time lag. Graphics are crisp and clear, items easy to find. The main game took me just over 5 hours, the bonus around 1 hour.
All in all, a very enjoyable game that I couldn't put down until I was done.
My review is based on the whole game plus the bonus chapter. There are five chapters plus the bonus.
I was literally glued to this game from beginning to end. Games by this developer just get better and better. The graphics were beautiful, the H0S nicely spaced out with clearly defined items that were easy to find. I counted 23 Hidden Object Scenes in the main game and 3 in the bonus.
The interactive map is the best I have seen in a game. Not only does it let you jump from location to location, but it also gives you thumbnail photos with the tasks not yet completed clearly stated. This is an enormous help. It cuts out all of the running around. The Hint button tells you exactly what to do next (of course, you don't have to use this). Even with all of this help available the main game took me just over 5 hours, the bonus around 1 hour. It's a long, immersive game that pulls you in.
I wasn't sure what to make of this game at first. I love cooking TMs and adored the Burger Shop games. This one plays just like those, but you are making jewellery (on a conveyor belt!).
Just like Burger Shop, you get more and more machines as you progress. You stamp cards, paint crowns and a whole lot more; and there are mini games and achievements along the way.
If you liked the Burger Shop games and don't mind making shiny baubles instead of food, then I think you'll like this one. It's a lot of bright, well drawn, funny stuff!
