Everything I wished to say about this game and how good it is has already been said above.
If you don't like the idea of your town being wiped out by a contagious infectious disease then this game will probably not suit you. The subject matter is rather gruesome.
On the downside, the game is a little on the short side for a CE. The main game took me about 3 1/4 hours and the bonus play around 45 minutes. Some of the hidden objects I found to be very small and the H0 scenes grainy, though the interaction of those scenes was new and fresh. And, of course, the totally customisable gameplay is a new and great idea and I'd love to see this in other games.
I recommend this game!

Great quality game with long gameplay, not too much running around, excellent voiceover and lovely music. I particularly like the choice of either playing a hidden object scene or match 3. I wish more games were made like this. In my opinion, it is worth the CE price; the bonus chapters were also engaging. I'm looking forward to more great games like this one from the Developers that (I believe) brought us Love & Death: Bitten - because the music towards the end of the bonus chapter is the same. Big thumbs up, developers!
I recommend this game!

This is a lovely TM of the Dash variety with clear, bright graphics and some very well drawn customers of varying degrees of patience (naturally!). There are upgrades galore in the main game and also an "Antique Shop" where you can buy further enhancements with earned coins that help you move faster or make your clientele more patient. Mini games pop up every few levels that allow you to earn more coins for the Antique Shop.
There's an easy and a hard mode. I played in easy mode to start and that does become challenging quite early on, but then what would a good Dash style TM be without the challenge?
This is fun and it's addicting. I'd recommend this to fans of the genre.
I recommend this game!

I honestly can't say anything bad about this game. It's absolutely delightful and should please most HOPA/iH0G fans; both those of the dark and eerie genre and those of a more lighthearted nature. Why? Because there's a bit of both, but not too much of either one to put the other off - and quite a bit of humour thrown in.
Without giving too much away, you have certain statues that help you on your quest - I loved the Rooster and the Miner. The cut scenes are great, as are the graphics. The music isn't intrusive and the H0S are nicely spaced out. The 'jump to' map is fantastic for the times you get tired of going back and forth and the gnome hint button is more than enough to get you through the game without the need to resort to the SG.
This is now my favourite game of the year 2012 so far. Big Thumbs Up Developers!! What a gem!
I recommend this game!

I'm not usually a fan of Pirate themed games, but this one blew me away.
Wonderful animation; cut scenes that feel as though you are in a movie; fitting musical score that does not grate on the nerves; beautiful, clear and uncluttered hidden object scenes; mini FROGs; the ability to choose between H0S and Mahjong; the wonderful and totally fitting bonus chapter; the guardian of the treasure chest who tells a bit of the story every time you give him a Dubloon - oh, I could go on...
The game reminded me of The Pirates of the Caribbean movies with the ghostly Pirates and the slithering tentacles; only Captain Jack Sparrow making an appearance could have made it any more complete.
If you are looking for an immersive, wonderful CE that, imo, is worth the extra, then look no further. This is one HOPA I'm going to be replaying.
Can't wait for more quality games from this developer.
I recommend this game!

I am never disappointed with this developer. To me, they seem to put a lot into each of their games. Here again is a CE that I think is worth the money, in my view. It's a long game (easily 4 1/2 to 5 hours plus 1+ hour for the bonus) that is totally immersive, beautifully rendered with great voiceovers and appropriate music.
The H0S scenes, of which I counted 28 in the main game and 9 in the bonus play, are clear and uncluttered. This many H0S in a game is usually a disappointment to me, but I had no problem playing them in this game, even three back to back. The graphics are so lovely they are a pleasure to play rather than something to be endured.
The puzzles are not that difficult and there could have been more of them for me, but they were still fun to play. The cat hint button is very cute and recharges very quickly and the map, showing objectives and areas of interest is useful. There is some running around to be done, but the setting is not so large that it should cause too much confusion.
I recommend this game. Once I started playing I found it hard to stop.
I recommend this game!

The long awaited sequel to Tiger Eye: Curse of the Riddle Box has finally arrived, after about 2 plus years and much speculation that it would ever be made.
Does it deliver? Yes and No. No on the cut scenes (not the actual gameplay graphics for me, as such), because the characters don't look the same; they are lacking. In Part 1, Hari was almost 7 feet tall and something to behold. In this one, either Dela has grown or Hari shrunk in the wash. This wasn't at all what I expected.
Having read the book a couple of years ago, I can understand why some gamers found the storyline out of sync with the first part - it's because the story in the book takes a more 'detective' slant later on (that is what Marjorie M. Lui's books in this series are all about), plus it is setting up the story for Kitala Bell, the fiddle player for the second book. Perhaps not the best slant to take when continuing a game.
The puzzles were great and I loved the colourful scenes. A different take on the H0G slant to the usual list of items to find, but, on the whole, the game is probably better understood if you had read the book, and subsequent tomes.
I recommend this game!

Having left the Cooking Academy to high acclaim last time, now you are writing your own cookery book. There are 8 levels with some 7 recipes to cook in each one, followed by the exams before you can move on to the next level. It's not difficult to achieve 5 stars in each level.
This time, instead of cooking recipes according to Lunch/Dinner/Dessert, you are going by category: Sweet/Eggs/Chicken/Beef etc.
The gameplay is almost identical to the previous two Cooking Academies with, perhaps, two or three new skills. The graphics are the same too. It's a nice, safe game for those who love the series or love cooking TMs in general but there's not much difference.
Having said that, it's a relaxing TM of its genre and a lot of fun, more especially with a Touch Screen for chopping up those ingredients. I enjoyed it and will play it again in future.
I recommend this game!

This could have been so much better and has none of the charm of the Diner Dash games.
For starters, the 'ghouls' are totally unlikable and could have been drawn better. The dialogue between the twins becomes boring quickly and the instructions are not that clear. There are characters like 'Frankie' and 'Shady' who speak in pigeon English (You no have enough money - me no sell anymore).
The whole eating experience isn't too pretty either. You seat your ghouls, they produce a bucket, you then go shake some fruit and serve it up, they eat from a loose pile on the table and eventually shake their money bags at you. The tables are not numbered so, at times, it's difficult to know where to go next and it all gets a bit silly and confusing. I'll persevere, only because I was silly enough to buy it to fill up a PCC, but this is only really for those who miss Diner Dash so much that they need something to try and fill the hole that series has left. It can't be filled with this, sadly, imo.
I don't recommend this game.

If you love your HOPA/iHOGS full to the brim with hidden object scenes, then this is your game. However, there is one in every scene, sometimes more than once. I expected more adventure and puzzle solving rather than endless junkpiles. The objects were very small in some scenes and barely visible (e.g. a pawprint that was so well blended into the stonework that I couldn't believe the Hint button even found it!).
Items were also not named correctly. What I have come to recognise as a mallet from every other game of this type turned out to be a hammer in this one; among other mis-labeled objects.
I bought this in a sale as a BOGO so I don't feel too bad, but if I'd demo'd it first I would not have bought it.
I don't recommend this game.
