This was a solidly good game. I was glad it was an SE. The gameplay did not seem as fleshed out as a CE should be. I was able to use a bonus coupon for it which made it even better.
There was no challenge in this game. I replayed it a felt it was saccharine sweet for my tastes. I enjoyed the visuals and the many varied scenes in the game. Despite the repetition of the music it is calming, which is a good thing.
I purchased this during the Mother's Day sale. I wish I had played it for even a few minutes. It was truly terrible. The aspect ratio was off so I had to look a a squished game that was really distorted. The game had absolutely nothing going for it. It was too predictable and the drawing was like something from very early computer games. This game looked and felt like someone dug it out of the archives where it should have stayed.
I have enjoyed many other games by this developer and even the previous game in this series. I was unhappy with this game. It felt as if busywork was created for no purpose. It started in the very beginning. I cannot say why but by the time I was able to rescue the princess from the vines, I no longer cared. I finished the game and I am left perplexed by the puzzles. They varied from the simple click through with no thought or skill to the annoyingly complex.
The artwork was beautiful and the storyline was good but I was left feeling as if it could have been so much better. I realize I am in the minority with this opinion. I do not think I will give up on this series but I will hesitate to purchase the CE. I am always amazed at how bonus games seem to be so much less interesting than the main game. It is as if all of the second rate ideas get dumped in the bonus. As for the secret chapter, it is awful!
Based on the demo: I dislike musicals so when the mermaid started singing I cringed. My biggest complaint was the way the characters interacted with you. I felt patronized. I do not need my own personal cheering squad.
In this ghostly continuation of the Fear for Sale series, you've discovered a luxury ocean liner bears an eerie resemblance to a ship that vanished years ago.
This game had all of the best features. There were HOS but there were not so many as to become boring. They were varied and enjoyable. The puzzles were good. The gameplay was intuitive.
I loved the artwork and the seafarers theme. Even the plot was interesting. It was really good.
