Bought this game as it was in BFG half price sale. At first I didn't like it, but it grew on me. Having bought it I then found it quickly became quite dull. I like the linear game play; no need for a map as not running back and forth. Music was nice and added a feel to the game. Storyline silly, but that's what I expect from a adventure/HOG game. Not the worst CE ever, but my gripe was way too many HOG scenes, hardly any interaction in them and 'why keep taking the cursor for over clicking' when nearly all the objects were hidden behind other objects, in gloomy half light and were nigh on impossible to find? This was irritating, and it happened over and again! Good level of challenge, and you can combine objects which isn't seen often in these kind of games. I feel HOG/adventure games have moved on since this kind of game play thankfully. Would suit newcomers to this genre. Hint system was excellent, didn't need SG at all.

Really liking this game. A bit different to the usual spooky stories. The animals are cute, the game play linear so not needing to go from place to place too much. Usual interactive HO scenes, but nicely put together. Puzzles rather easy but that's fine with me. Although playing advanced mode hint and skip buttons fill fairly quickly. Playing it on my Mac and graphics fill the screen. Would enjoy more games like this one!
I recommend this game!

I enjoyed the fact that this game had zero hidden object games; made a refreshing change. Way too much hand holding, which for me spoilt the game. I played hard core, and it was a sparkle free game. The storyline was ok, as we're the graphics. The music that was supposed to add tension got a bit annoying after a while. Not an overly long game. It would have been longer if us players had to work things out for ourselves. Excellent hint system, and even playing a harder mode the hint and skip buttons refilled fairly quickly. It's an excellent game for newcomers to this genre!

Didn't think this MCF game is as good as others in the series. The graphics were amazing, the sound excellent and nice touch with real actors and actresses. The HO scenes were interesting, and moving around to find items a novelty. No good puzzles that this series is known for. Putting bits of moving photos together after each chapter I found annoying. Unusual, but I really don't like games that repeat the same puzzle over and again. Having paid extra for the CE version, I find it irritating not to have any hint and SG help. Finding the bonus content was a challenge in itself, and with no help I quit the game at this point. Never did find any morphing objects. Played advanced level. Definitely got the brain cells working, and the level of challenge was good.

Superb graphics, music in keeping with atmosphere and storyline is about a serial killer. Animated people that are quite well done, and so far gameplay seems fairly linear.
Downside is the dreadful sterotypical English voices, which are really grating as no one in England speaks like that. Not even the Queen :-)
There are three Game play modes, but the advanced level has sparkles as in the casual mode which I can't stand. So, had to play hardcore mode, and in this mode there is a puzzle skip but no hints, map or black bar tips. I gave it 3* because of the two dislikes mentioned.

I played this game to the end which doesn't happen very often as they can become a bit boring. The biggest plus for me was absolutely NO HO scenes. The devs also proved a game doesn't need boring old junk pile HO scenes to make it playable. I played advanced mode. Had to use the SG a couple of times and had to find where I was, rather than it keep up with the game but it was easy to follow. Graphics were superb and the music easy on the ears. More like this please!
I recommend this game!

Hated every minute of it. Blindly searching for numbers which seemed totally pointless. One hidden number scene after another. The music was annoying too. Can't think of any reason to play this game at all. And it's against the clock. I ran out of time and at that point uninstalled the game. Must be one of the worst offerings ever from BFG. They are better than this :()

This game held my interest from the start. I played casual mode (to avoid any sparkles), and with the trial it took just over two hours. The puzzles weren't that different, but with the exception of copy the tune and light all the lights, I enjoyed them as they were well put together and interesting. Only a few FROG scenes, which were interactive and I really enjoyed them so wish there had been more. The story line was fun, the music non irritating, the graphics clear. The game although stretched fitted my widescreen. This is one of the best non CE games this year. If it had more interactive frog scenes, the game length could have been longer and just as much fun. I got stuck 'in a map' and couldn't find a way out of it. Suddenly I was back in the game, but don't have a clue how that happened :) Hope there's a part two...

I'm a sucker for CEs and usually can't wait to demo them and buy. With this one I gave up after the trial. Nothing new and too much hand holding which I really don't like. Good graphics. Even though I chose advanced mode, there were still sparkles everywhere. Couldn't change modes mid game either. The point of a game is to get you thinking and having a bit of a challenge, not being led right through. If it wasn't for this, I'd probably have bought it.

Love everything about it. Amazing graphics, interesting interactive HO scenes, real actors...a lot of work must have gone into this game. Creepy and spooky which is what I like in a game. Just wish more games were of this quality.
