ELEPHANT GAMES is back in the groove with this one ! Everything a MCF game should be. As long as I have my trusty MCF lighter, I can solve the mystery.
Nice long game, interesting all the way through including the bonus chapter. The map, achievements, and built in guide are pluses. Colorful, inventive and truly interesting. Really enjoyed this game. A good one for a refreshing change.
A little too cute for my taste and I did become bored with this game before the end, but I stayed with it because the art work is so pretty. Just my jaded opinion.
To save your father from a hideous monster, you've decided to sacrifice your own freedom. Now you must journey through a strange and magical land before time runs out!
Art work from ERS, beautiful, as expected. I suppose the game is targeted for other than myself as the story and characters were silly and cute. Miss the Ravenhearst games. I think we are seeing the end of casual games. All good things must end.
Guess everyone who wants to play has played, so this review is pointless, but here's my two-cents, anyway. Silly, disjointed, poor graphics, junk pile HOs and a rambling story made this SE disappointing and a time waster. Became bored 3/4 of the way through and began using the hint button. Elf and some of the puzzles were the game's only redeeming qualities. OK for some.
Can't see that CE would have improved the play. Five doors, five tales. The final chapter is rather disturbing as it features a child abusing animals (of course, she was bewitched, so I guess it's to be expected.) Good graphics, good music, good puzzles. A good, not great, game
Colorful, fanciful artwork and cute (too cute) inhabitants are pluses for Nearwood. The story is rambling, but gets there eventually. The puzzles are fun, not challenging. Admit I became bored a little over halfway through and relied on the hint button to navigate. There is a jump map which indicates areas of interest. The Mermaid Queen seems to have jumped from a Frank Frazetta illustration. When I returned her tiara, felt I should stop by Walmart and pick up a t-shirt for her as well. One for the younger player, I assume.
You've come to Mexico to explore a mysterious mansion. But this is no vacation. Your cousin is missing, and the house is crawling with bizarre and deadly creatures!
Colorful, if simplistic artwork; calming music and a not too exciting story, but still enjoyable. Liked the custom game play level. Could have done without the critter with the soap and clothing. Know some players like, but the cute animal helpers are just not for me. Puzzles were simple and could be played casual or hard setting. All in all, not challenging, but OK.
Discover the city of Apothecarium, where inhabitants are caught in a perilous struggle against a powerful alchemist who is taking the lives of innocent!
Colorful, brilliantly conceived imagery; exciting music score; a fun (if not historically accurate) tale and lots of puzzles make this game a must have. Never know what delightful scene will open next. Glad I didn't pass on this one.
