It has been too long since I had this much fun playing any game. The Other Side managed to surprise me with an interesting story line combined with some new and fresh mini-games and a moderately challenging puzzle path. Play the demo and try it out for yourself.

My firs reaction to this jumbled mess of a game was, why am I wasting my time here? well, because I have been pleasantly surprised by designers who have managed to pull dumpsterfires of a game out of the trash column and, after the player got used to the mechanics and style, the game becomes fun! Nope, nope, nope. It's not a match three game, it's not Player v Boss game, it's just a confusing click and cross your fingers game and I simply have neither the time nor the patience for poorly designed software like this.

My computer is older, so I wouldn't have given the game a bad review because I couldn't download the game, but with so many other players having this problem, I'll add my vote for "not working,' due to programmer error.

I can understand the poor reviews given by other players. If you haven't tried any of the decluttering style games," The Red Book" is not the best. BUT it is not awful. Try the demo and then try the "Clutter" game series.(These games are some of my favorites and there are a whole lot of them for both MAC and PC!) My biggest problem with Red Book is the weak graphics which make it hard to pick out items in the HOGs. I did enjoy the little extra puzzle of the mystery items theme in each hidden object scene but I detested having to catch the ridiculous butterflies, a task that served no purpose other than to delay the game when you missed too many times. So, go ahead and try it, then look up "Clutter."

I have been a fan of the Clutter series of games since they first hit the market many years ago. The designer mixes various matching and sliding puzzles with variable difficulty levels to make a game that continues to entertain. But the added benefit of the author's comments about life and simplification, or "decluttering," may spark something in the player that helps you in the real world.

When a game developer cannot even check to make sure that you can advance beyond level one before the game hanging up, they should just close shop. What a waste of effort.

Spirit Legends: Solar Eclipse, is a reminder that story telling in a computer game can be fun and entertaining. The rescue mission you find yourself on, is interesting, and the the multitude of games you play as you travel through your adventure are well designed and fun to solve. Go ahead and play the demo, it is well worth your time, then buy the game if you want to see how the story "plays" out.
The previous iterations of this game were hampered by the atrocious selection of images. The puzzles have the ability to modify (change the number of pieces and change the shape of them), allows you to add "rotate pieces" to make solving more challenging, a tray to help with sorting, and allows you to work with the border pieces before tackling the inner puzzle. These features, along with ghost image, save, and show completed image, make the game itself potentially fun, unless the images are so unimaginative and boring, as was the case with previous versions. BUT I really liked the selection of pictures in THIS version, and that is why I FINALLY give it a great review.
This is the umteenth in a line of mind numbing coloring book "games" that are being passed of as new titles. You cannot go wrong in filling in the boxes, so there is no level of challenge. You cannot choose the image, so there's no creativity. And the pictures themselves are so cartoon-like, there is no satisfaction in finishing. Why, Big Fish?

I had the opportunity to try this game on both a Mac and a PC. On my Mac, it wouldn't even boot, little did I know that would be a blessing in disguise. When I downloaded this game on my PC, it turned out to be the worst Match3 attempt at a game that I've ever encountered. The game has a ridiculous story line that makes no sense in the context of the actual game, an airport needs your help to build it? And the matching boards are fruit, leaves, water, and clouds, all drawn in childish cartoon pictures and plain simple colors? The game play itself was frustrating and, tbh, I could not get past the third level, but I kept at it for the full demo period, just in case a booster showed up, or I discovered something clever that I'd missed that would let me move on. But, no. So save yourself the trouble and pain and give this one a miss. I almost never give this advice because I respect that different people appreciate different levels of game play, but seriously, Big Fish, get your act together and get your quality control people back to work. Your games have gone downhill in the past year and this is a prime example of just how far astray you've gone.
