I found the game frustrating to play. The game has the familiar system of constructing various buildings to create a town, manufacturing resources, and increasing the population, which is done in a cute cartoonish way. There is a Mentor who sits at the bottom of the screen and makes suggestions and observations on your progress, or lack thereof. Which is ok. BUT there are attacks on your little towns by monsters that destroy your hard work and I found no way to stop them. If you add Guard Towers for protection, you run out of money until you cannot repair anything and your town is dead. And this was on the Easy Levels. There are far better strategy games out there, like the Pioneer Lands
I don't recommend this game.

This game is bright, colorful, and a lot of fun. The HOS, while cartoon-like, are sophisticated and well drawn. The story line is fun and interesting and the Chapters are complex and deep and will prove challenging to the more experienced player while still playable for the "newbies."
I am willing to play simpler games, if only to preview them for my own kids, but this game was a failure. Although the cartoonish pictures were bright and colorful, not all of the HOS followed suit (apparently there is a gloomy spectral realm that holds some HOS). The pictures were often muddled, some of the puzzles were unclear - both visually and intent wise, and the stereotype natives bordered on offensive. If the storyline had made sense, I might have at least played through the entire demo. But it wasn't. And I didn't.
I don't recommend this game.

Whispers
While doing some fieldwork Charlotte Davis has her soul captured by an evil sorcerer! Help her escape his clutches!
The ridiculous, disjointed story is made worse by the horrible job done in translating the narration/character dialogue into English. The hidden object gameplay is made impossible by the poor graphics and by the fact that the game hangs up every few minutes. There is nothing even remotely positive I can say about this game - except - I'm positive you shouldn't waste your money on it.

Level of Challenge

After playing this game for 5 minutes, I was bored. The challenge? To drop colored marbles into various shaped jars and bowls and create the "usual" row of three or more lines of that color/design and eliminate that section of marbles. The game tries to make it interesting when the marble falls and bounces, as if truly affected by gravity, but the level of challenge is either too easy, or ridiculously hard. This game was not my cup of tea.
