For 25 years, you thought you had no family. But one night, a man steps through a mirror from another world, claiming to be your uncle... changing your life forever.
It seems game makers have stopped even trying to justify the items you have to find. They all seem random and unrelated and you just have to keep walking around until you figure out what to do with all the stuff. The map and notebook are useless in this game. The map never showed a single mark of an objective and the notebook is simply replays of game videos. Having said that I did actually enjoy playing the game. Just be prepared to hit the hint button often to figure out what's next.
I recommend this game!

The game was enjoyable and had a good length. HOS were not the dark, dank, decaying variety (yay!). Some folks don't like the cat but he didn't bother me. My one criticism is that sometimes the location of the next needed object made no sense. You just had to use the map and "go with it". I think the game could have linked them in better with just a bit more thought.
A strange and deadly pollen is spreading around the world, and you've been hired to track down its source. But the secrets you discover in the fabled kingdom of Floralia are much darker than you imagined...
I'm really, really tired of games where the screens are all dark, the atmosphere dank, and you find yourself pawing through rotten ick searching for various needed items. So I enjoyed the bright flowers, colorful jewels, and occasional butterfly. There were some new takes on puzzles, which I always appreciate. The story line was in keeping with the rest of the Dark Parables and I enjoyed the way the game linked in stories and themes from prior games without making it mandatory that you'd played them. The game length was excellent.
I thought this was a good ending for the Awakening series. Not great but good. The graphics and sound are fine. The puzzles are the standard ones, which after as many games as I've played are getting pretty easy. I do like the HOS mix - sometimes words, sometimes images, sometimes you are finding objects, sometimes putting things back. A few times the story flow didn't quite help with telling me what I had to do next and I had to resort to looking at the map but not that often. The length was good. I'm glad I didn't let myself be put off by the negative reviews and plaid the series to the end.
I'd tried playing "Drawn the Painted Tower" but could not get it to run. So I tried about 45 minutes of the trail for this game and could not force myself to finish it. I really dislike the entire game approach - the mix of drawn items and supposedly "real" (but the graphics are not that great). If you are trying Drawn for the first time be sure to do it bia demo in case your reaction is the same as mine.
I bought this game because I really enjoyed Phenomenon: City of Cyan. This one was just as good. I really liked the game length. I thought the graphics were great. My one criticism is that the puzzles were a bit too easy and mostly HOS (I like a mix). But I still recommend the game.
I really liked this game. It was nice and long. The story line was excellent. The puzzles are a bit on the easy side but I liked the variety. There were some HOS, but not as many as some games, so if you play just for HOS you might not like this game. The graphics are good. There is a map, for those who don't like "walking all over the place". This is the second in the Mystery of the Ancients that I've played. I enjoyed them both.
This review is based on the SE. I found the game to be nice and long with a good mix of puzzles and HOS. There is no map so those who object to "walking all over the place" probably will not like it, but I actually think it ads to the realism. The hint feature guides you to a location without penalty. You only "use" the hint if you invoke it in a location/room with a task to be done. I like that type of hint system. This is the first time I've played any in this series. I'm looking forward to trying some of the others.
I consider myself intermediate to expert so I found this game a bit boring. Good thing I got it on sale.
I recommend this game!

The graphics are quite good. This is not a HOS. I found it fun trying to find all the "eyes". You acquire achievements, that was fun. The story line is plausible, with a twist towards the end. Game duration is good. I did seem to have problems with the hint button - it would tell me "no actions possible" when there were. Thank goodness for the walkthrough!
