I had grave reservations about GrandMa taking over this game series (my favorite). Unfortunately, it's even worse than I feared. I trialed the demo but I uninstalled it long before the time was up. I won't be buying this mess. BFG marketing needs to have a big pow-wow and come up with a major solution to the mess that it's adventure games have become. Nothing about them is fun anymore. Every game feels exactly like a hundred others. MCF fans....I STRONGLY SUGGEST A TRIAL BEFORE BUYING THIS ONE!
While I realize many folks like Domini Games, I've yet to find any of their games engaging. I'm usually bored after about 15 mins. Plus, every one of their games feels exactly like all the rest. I bought this because I thought they might do better with it since they took it over from Eipix. Wrong! They managed to turn this series into a snooze fest too. So many developers have abandoned adventure games and those that remain seem to be out of ideas and as bored as their players are. Needless to say, I don't recommend this game.
My fave developer is back with a great new game. Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I'm a stickler for great graphics. 5-BN is the only BF developer that has consistently held its ground in not cutting corners on graphics. I've been playing adventure games since the 90s and great graphics have always been important to story progression and engagement (at least it is for me). This developer has always been great at creating fantastic stories and this game is no exception there either. My only gripe is that the puzzles could have been a little more challenging. I still give it 5 stars however. As always, I suggest a trial before buying to see if meets your approval. :)
OK, I'll get this out of the way first. This game had some of the most absolute ridiculous tasks imaginable in it. There were so many tasks that would absolutely never work in real life. Add to this, the endless "hiding" spots for tools that leave you scratching your head as to "why"? I'm getting really tired of nearly all BFG games becoming an assault upon gamers' intelligence. Either the developers aren't very smart or else they consider us gamers lemmings who will buy anything regardless of how ridiculous the task are.
This was hands down the worst game I've ever completed. It was a complete insult to my intelligence and to anything resembling logic. A pre-kindergartener could probably complete this game with no problems. Needless to say, I don't recommend it in any way.
I don't recommend this game.

The Beast of Lycan Isle
Luna's friend calls her to a remote island after unearthing ancient mystery. Now together they face the cult of the Wolf Man.
This is one of the best games ever done on BFG...if not THE best! The graphics, the story, the characters, the voice-overs...everything was famtastic. I can only wish that one day BFG will go back to putting out games of this caliber again. I give your giving this at least a trial my strongest suggestion...and enjoy!
Elephant Games was once my favorite developer, primarily due to the graphics in their games and the great stories they created. I bought this game but then immediately wished that I hadn't. The graphics have become cartoons (why are all of the devs on BFG doing this??) The story was nearly nonsense. I have been playing games from this dev recently from just 2 years ago and it's amazing how bad the graphics and stories have become in just that period. Elephant, you can do much better than this.
Mad Head seriously needs an upgrade in it's games. The graphics look like a cartoon. The storyline is really bad and the game is just boring as heck. I uninstalled the trial in less than 20 mins and have no inclination to get this even as a freebie. As always, trial it. You might like it.
5-BN is a developer that has resisted the cut in quality of most BFG developers over the years and I hope this continues. Everything about this game is fantastic...graphics, storyline, challenge, and pace. They've also deepened the color scheme over the prior games which definitely gives it a greater richness. My hat is off to them for this excellent game. Give it a try. I think you'll like it!
I didn't expect a lot from this game as I'm not the world's biggest fan of this developer. That said, I was pleasantly surprised with the game play. There were a lot of hidden object scenes but they did them well by NOT making them the usual junk piles. The way they did these is much like the early BFG games. The one area where this developer could use some improvement is the cartoonish graphics, which takes away most of the "creep" factor that they are attempting to put into the game.
