I rarely buy Collector's edition, but I am making an exception for this game. It is so fun to play and has a lot of extra's. Finding number, crayons, toys etc. In the hidden object games you have a little extra game to play. The hint button is good and the game is easy to follow. The game is drawn nicely and the music is lightly in the background and pleasant. It is just a fun game. Hope you enjoy it. I will be having some fun today!!

I have played the other two House games and then I did the demo on this one. I will certainly be buying this one too! They are so much fun and so much to do in the game. Thank goodness for the interactive map that helps in getting you to where you need to go. The character are very helpful and there is not too much talking, but if you don't want to listen you can skip it. The hidden object games have a hidden area inside it so you have to mouse over it and solve it. Lots to do and beautiful to look at and listen to. Interesting story line and how to get it done is going to take a lot of work but what fun you will have doing it. Collector's edition has morphing objects and much more included. I will buy the SE and it is a definite buy for me. Enjoy it.

I reviewed this in Collector's edition and did not like it. I was wrong. I have all the other Empress games and just had to try it when it came out in SE. It was a lot of fun and really interesting and had some new games to play that were really interesting and I had a real good time playing them. The transporter's help with the back and forth you have to do in this game instead of a map. It is beautifully drawn and the sound and voices are very good. I hope you play it and enjoy it as much as I have. I will be playing all my Empress games in sequence soon and will have a real good time. Enjoy!!

This game is just not for me. The music is a spooky rendition of Happy Birthday which is just too weird. It moves slow and gets really mundane going back and forth to find coins (to open chests for clues) or do some small thing. The Hidden object scenes are pretty good and were not too hard but not easy either. The storyline is good but you get to the point of "who cares." You are trying to reunite two lovers who were torn apart and you must put their heart together. It was drawn OK and the voices were good. I suggest you do the "try me" and see if it is your kind of game. It certainly is not mine.
I don't recommend this game.

I did the try me in CE and was anxiously waiting for the SE. I bought it and finished it and loved every minute. You really have to think about what needs to be done next and if you get lost (I did a few times) the help button will take you there. It is beautifully drawn and the voices and music are good. Lots of things to do and collect to make get the hidden object games completed. There is a second game inside the games that needs to be played to get the object you need. Everything is clear and easy to identify. They are not easy but very doable. As you collect objects you also get elements that give you power. It is a very good game and I hope they do a sequel. I really enjoyed it and I will play it again in about a month or so and enjoy it again. I hope you will too!!

This is some game!! Hold on to your hats cause it may get rough. This game has it all. Great graphics and sound and music to scare the daylights out of you (if you let it.) The voices are good and match the characters. The hidden object games are seriously different. You have to do all kinds of things to find what you want. Put this in that, cut this, mend that, fix this and on and on till you find your objects. Lots of fun and you better have your thinking cap on for this game. The help button is good and leads you to where you need to go. There is not a lot of back and forth which is good as there is no map. I have never played a game that is this good storyline wise and with games like this. I find it very different and lots of fun. I have played only hidden object games for years and this one gave me a run for my money. If it sounds too different for you, do the try me and find out. I will wait for the SE because that is what I do, but hope it doesn't take too long.

If there were more stars to give this game in the challenge department I would. This game is certainly not for those people that don't like a real challenge. I have been playing these games for years (hate to say how many) and it was tough for me. I passed on a couple of the puzzles (one was with marbles spinning around) so I could finish the demo. I will be buying this game and then I can take the time to do them. The hidden object games are a little difficult but not bad. The mini-games I found a lot of fun because to receive the object you need you have to figure out how to interact with certain things in the scene and then it will give you the object. I like that and some of them were pretty tricky. The game is well drawn and everything is clear and easy to see. It is the basic battle of good versus evil and all the trials that brings to you to solve. Good story line and sound and voices are good. Thank goodness for the help button because I needed it a few times and it gets you to where you have to go or shows you what needs to be done. The Collector's edition has all the extra little things to do or collect and the strategy guide. I don't find them that appealing so I will wait for the SE and buy it then. The map is not a jump map so you will have the back and forth to do. I am eagerly waiting for this one as it is certainly going to be a challenge and one that I will enjoy. Hope you do too!!

Don't know what it is that keeps drawing me back to this series but I just love them. This is the fifth one and I was very happy this morning when it came out in SE. The game is not too difficult to follow and the hidden object games are pretty good and have some mini-games in them! The sound and music are good. Some of the voices are a little to old for the children but so what. Hint button is a good help when needed. The map is inter-active and helps with the back and forth. It is well drawn and easy to see what needs to be found. There is a little helper for you when you can't reach items high up and he is not as creepy as the ones you are following. The story line is good and leaves the possibility open for another in the series. Yippee. I enjoy these games and I will play them over and over. I hope you will enjoy them too!

To have another Dupin mystery to solve so soon after the last one is great. These are not the most difficult games but they are fun and interesting. The hidden object games are inter-active with little things to do or find inside the games. You even get to bake some bread!! There are many things in the scenes that need to be found so look all over. You are able to pick up little animal helpers along the way to do a few chores for you which is fun. The story line is good and the sounds is good. The game is drawn in the usual way where everything is slightly fuzzy but at the same time it is easy to see all the objects. There is a lot to remember about where to go and where you have been. The map is interactive and the help button is good. There are some new added twists to the game like "Scales of Justice" and photos to take and look at and other little things to help you find the guilty person. It makes the bottom of your screen a little crowded and takes awhile to figure out what you really want to use and look at on a regular basis. I always enjoy these games and they are great to play over and over as you will find things you did not see before. Enjoy!!

I bought this game the other day when it came out and finished it yesterday. What a great game! I loved every minute of it. Already own the other two Secrets of the Dark and they have just improved on them. This game is basically about good versus evil and you travel between the two by going into a room and clicking on something and it takes you to the "other realm" and things can be found in one realm and used in the other. Really interesting way of doing things. It is a lot of back and forth but well worth it. The story line keeps you interested and you will have to think about where to go. The mini-games are very fun and have a new twist to them and the hidden objects are not too bad at all. Everything is clear and sound is good. I think you will have a real good time playing this, I certainly did. I will be playing this game again and again. Enjoy!!
