After having completed the original Heroes of Hellas in timed mode, I took up the challenge to purchase and play this sequel and I have to say that I found it QUITE CHALLENGING.
I found the clock to be somewhat adequately slow(?) but still had to stay on my tippy toes in order not to have to replay a level more than 3 times.
The puzzles were particularly challenging but thanks to forum member cstdenis who's been kind enough to list the solutions to ALL of them, I was able to not only complete them but to also gain a better understanding as to how to play the Match3 portion of the game.
The sense of accomplishment of beating this game in TIMED mode has encouraged me to play the last sequel to this game.
To be honest (after having played the other 2 sequels), I don't recall if this game has an UNtimed mode or not but I decided to purchase this game (despite having many timed M3 games only half played because I couldn't beat the clock) and I was able to completely finish the game.
There were some levels that I had to replay several times while accomplishing the feat with only a second or 2 left on the clock but for whatever reason, I actually enjoyed the challenge of this game and didn't mind too much in having to replay levels.
I believe it was because of the fact that the timer does not act like a flood -- draining within seconds -- but acts like a slow leak -- draining just enough to keep you on your toes.
I recommend this game!

King Arthur
Follow Arthur’s rise from boy to king! Listen to Merlin’s story and meet an amazing cast of characters as you live a classic tale!
This game starts off with 2 hidden objects scenes and NO HINTS; once you complete these 2 scenes is when the 4 hint supports kick in -- visibility (shows you where object is), drawn (as you get near the object, it's brought to the hint circle), vision (it shows you the silhouette of object and where it's at) and finally, the lightening bolt which just zaps the object from wherever it was.
The runes are hint specific creations and if you use a hint within the hidden object scene, you can select those 3 specific runes (there's a rune "map" on your lower left-hand side of screen) to replenish that particular hint while STILL in THAT specific scene.
I found a couple of names of hidden objects to be rather, hmm..how do I say it -- INTERESTING? You're asked twice toward the end of the game to find paprika. Okay, fine -- looking and looking for the spice and finally broke down and used a hint to find out in both scenes that paprika in the game developer's mind are 2 different colored bell peppers; huh??? In what country? A sling is actually a slingSHOT.
I did NOT like the fact that you had to go to the Main Menu to get out of the game to look at the walk-through; most games, you're able to click on the "start" button that's on the keyboard to peruse the walkthrough. In having to go to the Main Menu of this game to use the walkthrough forces you to lose whatever work you'd started in that particular scene forcing you to re-do that particular area.
I liked the mini-games but the instructions are rather ambiguous; they're worded so tersely that I had little idea of what actions to take to complete them. Two of them I just skipped because I honestly had NO idea as to how to accomplish the tasks.
Merlin, the magician's voice was great and the music was FABULOUS -- very upbeat and medieval. I really appreciated being able to read the entire script while "Merlin" was speaking.
In most of the games offered, the women always seem to be the heroines and the guys are basically treated as numbskulls; however in this game, the guy is the hero BUT once he finds the girl (early in the game play), she is NOT treated as a damsel in distress and the two together act as a team to work out the solutions to puzzles and in coming up with strategies to find the treasure and to escape the island. I feel that this is why I enjoyed this game so much.
Beware, however, of FRAGMENTED, color-on-color (most of the time) itty-bitty objects to find with some easy to moderate to complicated puzzles to solve. Personally, I skipped 2 of the puzzles (1 had to do with mathematics and despite the instructions I still could not make heads or tails as to what I needed to do and other 1, I just got impatient) but all-in-all the puzzles are solvable.
I found it interesting as well that you didn't have arrows to provide you with directions of travel but rather with something that kind of looked like an eye in which action of some sort was necessary in order to proceed.
I found it important to read the hero's comments as it provided a "heads up" as to what the tasks were going to entail.
After the credits ran, there was 1 more cut scene which indicated a possible sequel to which I look forward.
This game is made of 95% hidden object scenes and 5% of mini-puzzles and to be honest, I liked the mini-puzzles more than the rest of the game.
A year or so ago, I probably would've been thrilled with this game as I'd never played games before then but now, I guess I've outgrown straight hidden object games and am more into hidden object/adventure games now.
I STRONGLY feel that this game would be perfect for a beginning gamer as it does alot for you and you basically just "follow the arrows" and go from scene to scene with very little thinking or effort involved.
BTW, don't forget to shoot the tins and find the mirrors marked with question marks; the question marks are your hints, if you need to use them; I ended up with so many that I stopped counting but kept forgetting to look for all the tin cans.
I REALLY enjoyed this game because it was very interactive with commonsense tasks but why all the other characters? All the guys did were 1 task each throughout the entire game and was almost worthless in assisting the heroine -- actually made more work for her to do; hmmmmmmm
Each task that you performed built the next step and the next and basically made it a worthwhile -- with no hair pulling -- complex but easy game to play.
I enjoy playing games wherein you can use inventory items that make sense to the task at hand as well as have a hint button that CLEARLY explains the next step(s) necessary to continue on in the game -- if you get stuck.
The hints are there to assist you while in the hidden object scenes but is NOT for the riddles themselves -- which is where it can be a bit challenging. I found the "building the machine" riddle a tad difficult because I couldn't immediately ascertain the location of one of the fixtures; I finally just started clicking all round the machine (with the fixture attached to my cursor) when it finally clicked into its proper spot.
The objects that you search for do NOT disappear but the girl informs you as to what's been found and the number of said item(s) found. The words of the found objects changed to another color (green, if memory serves) so you're aware of what objects are left to find and which you've already found. I didn't like having to wait while the correctly selected object did a jig before selecting another found object but every game's got their quirks.
All-in-all this game was a very nice and easy and quick respite before diving back into a much harder game that I've been playing BUT it's definitely NOT worth anymore than the DD price.
There are only 7 mysteries with the first 4 of them with only 4 hidden object scenes and riddles and the last 3 have 5-6 hidden objects scenes with same amount of riddles.
I recommend this game!

Deep Blue Sea
Unravel the mystery of the aquatic people of Avalonia! Piece together the fragments of their Sacred Amulets and salvage treasures along the way!
I found the timer to be very generous UNTIL the last few levels and then the sand seemed to just pour out of the timer.
Within the "shop", there are 2 areas split in half:
*top portion allows you to upgrade your side power-ups which you can use again and again (as long as you match 3 of whatever object necessary) while playing each level and whatever you don't use, carries over to the next level
*bottom portion are different power-ups that can only be used 1 TIME (but do carryover if not used) within the entire game UNLESS and UNTIL you buy more.
I found that I was happy to have bought lots of oxygen, bombs, and magnets -- this was the only way that I was able to complete each level WITHOUT repeating a level and also complete the game.
This is NOT a bad game but I found it very overwhelming for me --
*too much traveling around in circles *much too easy to get lost inside the church *no clear indication of where to go next *no clear indication as to what to do next - despite inventory items *mini-game instructions button (FINALLY found it almost at end of game) way up HIDDEN at the left top of scene except for a tinge of gray coloring sticking out *music was depressing
I have to say that, when completed, I was happy as I found this game more of a task than a pleasure; thank goodness for the walkthrough
Those of you that are very experienced playing Adventure games would probably enjoy this game but I've not yet achieved that understanding of how to proceed in such games.
I am one of those players that HAS to have a walkthrough for MOST games that I play because of too much carrying around of too much inventory with many of said items not making sense as to their uses.
This game, however, was the exact opposite; except for 2 objects that you didn't use to almost the very end of the gameplay, all the inventory that you picked up were used within a relatively short period of time AND their uses were COMPLETELY commonsense-related!!!
For that reason, this game was VERY enjoyable to play; however, you want to make sure that you look in EVERY nook and cranny and side of screen for the crystals -- I almost missed 2 of them but discovered them just as I was about to leave the scenes to do other things.
Except for the abrupt ending that honestly, made NO SENSE, this game was well thought out, with inventory items being sensibly used and with puzzles (except for 1 that I finally skipped) that were NOT difficult but just thought-provoking (ANOTHER plus for these grey cells LOL).
