I absolutely loved this game. Like many reviewers, I had been with BFG a long time and have played so many games that were same ole, same ole. I didn't feel this game was that. I found the storyline new and refreshing. It was spooky, but without ghosts, witches, etc.
The story took you to several locations and not just a scary house. You went many places outside trying to find coffins. It even offers a great maze puzzle where you come across obstacles and have to find something to get you past the blockage. You have mini-mazes doing the same thing in other games, but this one was full screen size and you had to go through it with just your flashlight. I thought that was unique.
I also loved the fact that you didn't keep items in your inventory for long before using. So there wasn't a lot of back and forth trying to remember where you need this new found item. Most often it was close by.
The HOGs and mini-puzzles were varied and fun. The collectables got harder to find (I actually couldn't find two) as you went through the game and the music was nice to listen to.
The Bonus Game continues the story which I really like. So many don't seem to have anything to contribute to the main game, and I don't usually bother to play the bonus chapter. But with this game I was enjoying the game so much I didn't want it to end, and it didn't. :)
We all have our likes and dislikes, but give the game a try. Like me, you might really love it and find it new and refreshing.

I was thinking the other day, while playing another Dev's game, that I really felt like playing a game by ERS. A couple days later came another Redemption Cemetery game. I was so excited!
I've only played the demo, but am really eager to play the rest. So, how can you beat the great sale this weekend by BFG? Two CE games and one SE game for the price of one CE!! My kind of Sale. ;) Of course this game was my first choice and Stranded Deamcapes: Deadly Moonlight was my second.
R.C.: Embodiment of Evil has everything I love in a game. It's spooky and makes me reluctant to go into rooms/areas not knowing what's waiting for me. When I can get into a game, feeling like I am actually experiencing it, that game is a winner in my book.
I have, but have not played, all the Redemption Cementery games so far and I feel this is one of their best yet. GREAT going ERS, and thank you BFG for putting it out there. Please keep up the good work..

I'm really enjoying this game. I beta tested the game, but forgot to write on my paper what I thought of it. So, have downloaded the demo like most of you and feel I'm playing it for the first time.
I think it has a very good atmosphere, music, and effects. It definitely feels spooky to me, which are my favorite games. I am also enjoying the mini-games and HOS. I don't usually enjoy mini-games and most of the time just skip them if they are too challenging. But these are different, so I'm giving them a try.
Like some of the other reviewers have said, if you don't try to connect this game with the earlier Phantasmat games, I think you will enjoy it also. I feel the developers did a great job on this game.
Give it a try, maybe you will like it also. Happy Gaming Fellow Fishies! :-)

I played Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome and enjoyed it so much I bought this one. What a great game if you like murder mysteries. It is a bit old school, but how refreshing. They definitely don't make them like this anymore.
No whistles, no bells, just a good murder mystery. I love the detective and his grit. Not afraid to tackle or say anything.. Had some humor thrown in from time to time to add to the enjoyment.
If you are tired of all the fairytales, si-fi, ghosts and witches, give this a try. It definitely will make you as eager to solve the mystery as the detectives. Just a good, old fashioned, serial killer mystery to solve.

It's been a long time since I didn't want to stop playing a game. I purchase games, but get tired of playing them in a short period of time and go back to playing my jigsaws galore game. However, not only did I want to stop in the middle of the demo and purchase the game, but I actually wanted to play it until I made myself stop for bedtime.
It is not heavy on HOG scenes (which I usually prefer over puzzles), but the HOG scenes had interaction. I usually skip the puzzles, and did a few that seemed to be taking too long (wanted to continue with the game adventure). But many of the puzzles were just right for me. I loved that.
Graphics, music, everything was so good. Top quality in my opinion. At least try the demo and see if you agree. Well done developers and thank you BFG for offering this wonderful game.

I really enjoyed playing this game.
The HOS were varied and fun. I loved finding morphing objects in the HOS before getting your list of times. I enjoy the HOS where you find two of different objects. They really tried to change things out to make it more fun.
The graphics were clear and colorful, which made each scene nice to look at. Overall just a well made game.
If you haven't yet tried it, do so. You might like it also.

I have quite a few games in my acct. that I have not yet played, and this was one of them. That happens when you have been a long time member, but don't get to play as often as you would like. :(
I've just finished this game and really enjoyed playing it. I think when you take a break from a series, then play one of them again, you enjoy the game as much as the first game in the series. That's what I have found anyway.
I enjoyed the interactive HOS, the mini-games, music, graphics, etc. I'm not one with patience for the puzzles, but they looked like they would be fun if you are into puzzles. This game has everything I look for in a game.
I really enjoy this series because you try to change the course of several souls, not just one. So, it gives you different types of locations to play. Changes the theme out for each soul. Makes the game more enjoyable IMO.
IF you have not yet tried this gem, give it a demo and a fresh look. You might enjoy it as much as I did.

I have to say, Chimeras: Tune of Revenge was one of my all-time favorite games. I loved everything about it from the poem at the beginning of the game, to the very last game play. I know there is never a sequel that is as great as the first in the series. That being said, I did really enjoy this game also. Maybe not as much, but it is definitely a good game.
I enjoyed the Irish accent everyone had, the Irish music as a whole, but I do have to say I got very tired of the same music in each HOS. By the end of the game I could barely stand listening to it again. During the bonus game I actually turned it off. Not for long however, because I didn't want to miss any of the other music. :)
I don't have much patience for puzzles that require time to solve, but I did enjoy the HOS. They were varied and I like that.
All in all, I do rate the game 5*. It was beautifully done. I enjoyed the HOS music for the first half of the game. Many have enjoyed it all the way through.
Give the game a try. I think it is definitely one of the best we've had in a long time and I look forward to the next game in the Chimeras series. I bought this game without doing a demo, and I'm not the least bit sorry I did. Happy Gaming !!

I love the Redemption Cemetery Series. I have all of them and have played most. Still have two not yet played. I read quite a few negative reviews, but also quite a few positive. I believe it's all in what you are looking for. We all have our favorite type of HOG's and mine happens to be spooky, scary, themed games. So, this type of game is right up my alley. :)
I think ERS does a fantastic job with the graphics and try to fit the scene with the story. The music went along with the spooky surroundings. I like the fact that most games these days keep the music going throughout the game. I remember when most of the game was quiet.
I also like the way they change out the HOG's and try to make it different, hoping those that don't like HOG's will enjoy the game more. I think we should try to give developers more credit for that. It isn't really the same ole, same ole. Although, I do play so many games that I have a hard time remembering exactly what the others in the series were like. I guess that's the good thing about having a bad memory! LOL
As always, try the game for yourself to see if you enjoy it. Sometimes the reviews leave you not knowing what to expect.

This game is absolutely one of the best I've played in a long time. I "LOVED" everything about it. I gave it a 6* rating in my personal 5* rating system. I only give a "red 6*" when I want to know it is one of my favorite, all-time games.
I'm sure the bloody scenes turns some fishes off. I'll admit I had to learn to concentrate on the adventure and put the bloody scenes in the background. It definitely was a spooky game. The graphics and music all added to the atmosphere.
There were very few HOG scenes, and the ones you do come across were varied and fun. I also enjoyed the puzzles and games, which is unusual for me. Mostly it was adventure, mystery solving fun, which I wish we saw more of. I thought it had a wonderful plot and story.
There wasn't a lot of back and forth, but what you did have I didn't mind. The graphics were so good I didn't usually use the map to jump, but enjoyed going from scene to scene.
I enjoyed the bonus game and secret room play. You didn't need them to complete the game, but they were added fun items that made the CE feel worth the extra money. I just couldn't wait for the SE and I'm so glad I didn't. BFG has too many great sales going that I don't want to wait a month for the SE.
Give this game a try. If you enjoy a great mystery game, and can put aside the blood and not take it literal, I think you too will enjoy this game very much.
