It took me awhile to work all the way through this game. I do own all the CE games in this series and have played them many times. I hate those wretched snails but once I figured out how to blast them easily, it made the game more enjoyable for me. I will say it's a lot like the others in this series, yet I still enjoyed the gameplay. A couple new items in the graphics. I liked scenes in the bonus content way better than the journey I had to take to get there. All in all, my energies will be to start over and pick up the few places I didn;t get a perfect score and master my play.
I recommend this game!

I mostly don't review anymore because there are so many more in depth than what I do. And it's extraordinarily rare that I give a 5 star review, but this is more than a 4! I never listen to the music or voice overs; my main goal is keeping the brain alert.
It is SO refreshing to not have the centuries old graphics story line, or skulls and skeletons rushing at me. It's just a good, old fashioned mystery to solve in an entertaining way. Kudos to the developers! I only played the demo but am on my way to purchase the full game!
I recommend this game!

I like hidden object games. This demo buried me in puzzles. I wanted to decide for myself if it was as puzzle heavy as mentioned by others...it as waaaaay too many puzzles for me and not enough hidden object. Graphics ok. I don't really follow music or verbiage, therefore, I can't objectively judge that part of the game. I play mainly for casual pastime and to keep my brain active. Just too much of what I don't like and not enough of what I do. I'll take a pass on this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I enjoy Match 3 games. Like with mobile devices, I don't like games that offer in play purchases to be able to continue when free lives are spent or extra bombs or such are needed to help clear the board. When I spend money to buy a game, I have no intention of spending more to pay for the privilege of something I've already paid for. I only played the free trial, and barely managed to stick with it that long. Graphics not impressive. I don't pay attention to music or storyline; I'm just there to "build the town". I am taking a pass on this one.
I don't recommend this game.

I play these games as a tool to exercise the brain, so I can't comment to the quality of music, voice overs, etc.. Comments based solely on game play.
This was an extraordinarily easy game. Went through the entire demo in quick time without using a single hint. Usually, since I don't pay close attention, I lose track of the play and need a bit of a hint to get me back in. Wasn't needed here. If you're looking for an easy play to pass some time, go for it. If you're looking for a challenge, I encourage you to take a pass. The only way I would purchase this is on a special two for the price of one. And I probably would just because #1, it's about animals -sort of, and #2, it's in current time. I hate to bum on any of these games as I know a lot goes into the development, but think these major developers are getting a bit lax, or need fresh blood with new creative juices.

I'm glad I got this CE on sale. I tend to be kinda slow at game play as it's relaxing. This was a VERY short game. Disappointed as it's more satisfying if I have to work at finding all the extra features that a CE offers. This was a bit too easy, even for me, since I don't follow with audio, and often bore trying to keep up with a storyline. It's okay, but would never want to pay full price for it.

POOR RECEPTION

I realize these developers work very hard on these wonderful games, but this is about the fourth game I've run across that I can't play because of poor reception on the computer.
It's always the top third of the screen that jumps and looks like static. In the past I've been able to try and ignore and make it through the game, but this new one is the same problem, so sadly, couldn't get beyond the first couple of minutes. And no, it isn't my computer; the multitude of games I have play with no issues..
I sincerely hope this gets resolved as I do enjoy the Reflections of Life franchise
I don't recommend this game.

I have other Cadenza games that I couldn't even finish just out of sheer boredom. This, however, is a lovely departure from some of the previous offerings! A retro trip to the fifties, and by some history, when music was the devil ruining the youth. How appropriate with this game and it's soul stealing demon! Have only played demo, but am going right now to get it and play. I am weary of supernatural games, but I'll give this a pass since it's not all knights and battle axes, preferring a more current time frame. Others give excellent summaries; I don't need to do it again. Not terribly difficult, which is what I like to pass an afternoon!
I recommend this game!

I agree with some of the other reviewers: it was a pretty good installment for the franchise, and fun for the afternoon. I also pay attention to mostly the gameplay, so I can't comment on music, voiceovers, etc. I admire the creativity and imaginations of the producers and appreciate the effort for excellence. I enjoy the CE extras; morphs, collectibles and puzzle pieces. It forces me into paying closer attention. I also dig the newer games having not only maps, but the custom settings option. I never did like waiting two minutes to get a hint or skip a game. However, I am a slow player and still finished, including the bonus chapter, in less than 4 hours. Am glad I got the game on a two for one offering. I recommend this game, but don't know if I would have paid a full CE price intentionally.
I recommend this game!

First, I appreciate a game closer to our time era. Retro to the 50's was a breath of fresh air. Am beyond weary with games going back hundreds of years.
The card collectibles-a nice touch! Enjoyed the history factoids for NYC. Would have been nice to sneak in a fact card for Ellis Island.
Visuals were pleasing; liked the limited break ins for dialogue. As a personal response, there was a lot of mechanical items to repair to advance, and wasn't wild about that. The HOG's were ok, but would have been nice to have a variety instead of the find this to make that work.
Was nice and long. Took several hours of relaxed play to make it through the main story. Enjoyed the morphing objects and other collectibles, including the fact cards. Overall, believe this developer is maintaining a standard of excellence in their endeavors.
I recommend this game!
