Oh how wonderful to have a HOG that isn't full of gore, evil, bloodshedding creepiness. The storyline gives one play to follow instead of being a straightforward HOG, but doesn't overwhelm or distract. Nice voiceovers, though I don't generally take it off mute, this one was pleasant. Visuals decent, but certainly not as advanced as some games. Not a lot of bells or whistles, but still a worthy game where you can take your time, or plan your strategy for extra points, or "money", which is spent on decorating a living area. Wish I could give it an extra half star based on the lack of "urgly" evil.
I recommend this game!

If anyone is into ancestry, this will intrigue. However, as with some of the other new games, the cut scenes really begin to aggravate. Skipping is optional, but if one does, then runs the risk of missing critical info. ERS, try integrating some of this info into the interaction between characters or storyline through actual game play. Visuals are nice and there are some extras, but don't know that I would burn my credits on it. Might have given a 4th star had it not been for the mind numbing amount of cut scenes and explanatory intros into them. So-so for me..need to mull it over; perhaps the SE will do for me.
I recommend this game!

I know taste is subjective, but I don't get the enthusiasm for this game. Wait for a CE, DD or freebie spend for this one. It's okay, but certainly NOT worth a CE price. Way, way too many cutscenes and dialogue. I rarely listen to the music so I can't speak to that. Easy enough to follow, just not enough challenge for anyone beyond beginner. Had it not been for all the interruptions I might have gone up one more star; the constant interruptions made it drag for me and wanted to push it along, and to be fair, I nearly never give a 5 star rating. Forewarned is forearmed. Just know if you invest in the CE, it is not in the league of some of the other, more advanced HOG producers.
I don't recommend this game.

Based on demo. I gave this a 4 because the graphics are so very lovely, and I particularly like the HOS cues are snowflakes instead of glitters or stars. For me, it was a bit all over the place as far as trying to follow a storyline, but, it did seem to be getting where it needed to go to stay true to the original story. Music, only ok for me. Nothing spectacular. What I especially liked was the map, so even if you get lost you can get a cue/clue from not only the hint button but from the map, as well. I likely will add this to my collection and play it fresh once a year!
I recommend this game!

Based on demo..but plan to purchase.
I have other Otherworld games and as with the others, the graphics are lovely. I don't listen to the audio so I can't comment on that part. The casual option was just that; was easy to follow and didn't get lost. However, what I did like about this particular game is the addition of a map. Makes it much easier to hop around without having to count how many walk up/down needed for the next directive. Was a bit "troll-y" for me but willing to look past it. Can't comment on if it's worth the CE price as I didn't complete the game, but for me an easy choice.
I recommend this game!

I only played for 8 minutes before I got frustrated with this game. If I am going to invest time into a game I want to at least enjoy it. Little or no instruction; crude exchanges from one location to another. A bit like a first attempt from the producers on a HOG. No real direction of what to do...and you have to jump back and forth for every action. Just a great big NO from me.
I don't recommend this game.

I played through 6 courses. I found the "purchase" items; believe one should be able to buy power ups with points, not spend more cash. Can't play full screen. Didn't know how to use the extra clubs for the maximum benefit. If there is a place to explain the premise of the game I didn't see it with regard of how best to use the powerups.. Only one choice of Solitaire to play..needs to have more options. All in all, I might occasionally play for a bit, but wouldn't burn a freebie or DD on it...good thing it's a free to play.
I don't recommend this game.

Really, I don't. Pretty standard Match 3 game, goal is to build up the ruins. Colors are vivid, there are earned power ups, though I couldn't figure out how to use them. There are caged elements, keys to unlock them, but couldn't asertain how to use those, either. Played the hour freebie and still haven't figured out the total premise of the game. May use one of my freebie tokens and purchase this game, just to see if I can figure it out, or perhaps making it harder than it actually is. Other than that, it would be a "no go" for me.
I don't recommend this game.

I am not real fond of the planting, building, harvesting, selling games...my attention span and speed fail me. But this game is delightful! Almost didn't even try it, yet it was a DD so what was there to lose? An easy game, not timed so I had the chance to find everything. Had a bit of trouble trying to remember to collect all the extras on each level, but once I got that in my head I was ready to make the money! Certainly worth the DD, and am going now to purchase!
I recommend this game!

I don't generally like FROG type games, but found this one delightfully enjoyable. I agree with other reviews that this isn't the most difficult game on the list, but it moved along nicely. The graphics are a bit crude, but again, was able to look past it and immerse myself in the story line. Might be better for a DD or freebie....as it is somewhat short in duration.
I recommend this game!
