I loved all the Awakening series games... was excited with this concept yet overall, this version to me was like being given a nice, big, beautiful box of decadent chocolates and each time I reach for one, someone pulled my hand away ... insisting me to wait a minute... here's what type it is and this is how you need to eat it and, oh... if you want more of these nice chocolates, you will need to pay for each one as you go.. what?
In this case, Awakening Kingdoms, of course, obviously isn't a box of chocolates, but a decadent game.... giving directions and needing me to pay money as I go along. All the interruptions just didn't make for an immersive gaming adventure. I'd rather have the learning curve up front, play a more fluid game, and pay before I play in order to truly enjoy my gaming 'indulgences'.
For those not minding how much their box of chocolates, eh, game, will cost, enjoy! ;}

I liked it! :)
Hey! I, too, was disappointed it was a TGT (Tomorrow's Game Today), yet once I got 'into' this old fashioned arcade-ish style TM, I couldn't quit!
Put your judgments aside for the graphics (yes, out dated!, bla bla bla) :} and try this... it is addictive and fun... btw, I played on my desktop with a mouse; not certain how it would play on my other deviced yet.
Give it a whirl before disqualifying it based on all the negative reviewls. I found it to be fun, cheerful and hard to stop playing and found myself trying for better scores (you have to be in the 'mood' for mindless, yet challenging gameplay) ... Tropical Mania is a definite 'maybe' and on my list for a CC (coupon code) or if it comes up as a DD (Daily Deal).
Check it out for yourself...
Have fun, be happy! :]
I recommend this game!

Eck, wow, this is a TM [time management] with oober ADD/ADHD!!! It's all over the place without a consistency in storyline goals during play and overall sort of feels monotonous because of it. Also, it doesn't really pull things together with an explanation as to why you're doing the actions [initially]... of course, one does figure it out, but it sort of spoils the feel for the game. What was also missing was a sense of humor (ie. not mindless humor) :}
I've been playing Frm Crft 2 and a couple of the other newer TM's [think coffee] so I guess I'm spoiled by those; this one just doesn't have the personality and charm as some of the other TM's and that parrot sealed the deal for me!!.... the word obnoxious comes to mind.
The graphics were ok, yet the characters were a bit on the creepy side, sorry artist, I didn't care for your style; I'm partial to smoother lines and more 'charm' ie. some kind of endearing quality for the immersive factor while playing.
Overall, I conclude that Farm to Fork is pretty forked (messed) up. Which is SO sad... I've been eagerly awaiting a new and 'wow' TM game.
Well, no offense to those enjoying the game... enjoy and have fun!!!

WOW!! ~~ "WHISPERS: REVELATION"!!!!!!!!
Yep, here is another example of a fantastic, uniquely created, 'outside of the box' adventure that has not received the credit it deserves.
As other reviewers agreeing with my viewpoint have pointed out... it's the STORYLINE that makes this and others like it... a fantastic, creative development.
So, you won't find bells and whistles or hand holding with this type of game [it's not supposed to have it and, in fact, doesn't particularly NEED it!]; and for that reason, it should not be compared to the 'usual' gaming experience here on BFG.
This is exceptional and very well thought out and stands on it's own merit as a true immersive and atmospheric game.
Thank you BFG and devs!!! I wish I had noticed this when it first came out, but am just as happy now with DD price! :}

NEVOSOFT once again does not fail to produce another winner... this light hearted TM which is as apt to please a younger gamer as it does an older [kid at heart] gamer.
Abigail and the Kingdom of Fairs brings us gaming magic in the form of a building strategy quest to rebuild little town fairs [occasionally plagued by monsters] in order to bring money and order to mythical town folk and a 'ticket' [so to speak] back home for our adventurer [you/Abigail].
Lots to learn and do.... a fun diversion between more serious games and TM's... a thoroughly enjoyable trip to a magical time and place.
Enjoy!!
*As always, trial it... games are not 'one size fits all' [yet this one is pretty versatile in that respect! : )

Despite being buried in snow here myself [with a blizzard in full force as well], I checked out "Mystery Expedition: Prisoner of Ice [brrrr!].
I was amazed at the quality and usual features that are only offered in CE's, morphing objects, collect coins, artifacts, etc.
This is a very well made first person [perspective] adventure driven H0G with live actor cut scenes.
If you enjoy mysteries, adventure, solving things on your own without TOO much spoon feeding and truly unique and creatively developed gaming, check this great game out... I was SO happy that I demo'd.... it offers all the above and more.
It's a definite buy for me.
I recommend this game!

I am just loving every moment of "Vampires: Todd & Jessica's Story" [based on some of the reviews, I didn't really expect to]!! Those fishies [players] only giving the game a few minutes are losing out on a very solid storyline... and just as with a book or good movie, you can't judge a game by a few minutes time IMO.
Anyhoo, There were NO issues mentioned by others technically speaking for me in gameplay. Everything runs smoothly and although there are no voiceovers and other bells and whistles, the storyline is a wonderful, ageless one of true love.
.... and, I hope true love triumphs!
Sound is good and appropriate to the theme and scenes.
The graphics are beautiful; with lots of attention to detail [little specks of dust floating by in the dungeon, insects, a ghost subtly emerging from the ground in the background of a rainy scene, etc.,] and there are a few very nice, unexpected cut scenes that are wonderful! The H0G scenes were very appropriate to the theme and content of the gameplay so as not to distract from coherence in the story. Because of this, the items may blend with environment.. I find that to be a pleasant challenge since, as an example, I would rather that than an item not relating to the game being thrown in for filler.
All in all, so far an 'easy' game to play, but extremely enjoyable and relaxing, albeit, a bit creepy due to the theme; I hope there is a sequel... I missed demoing and purchasing this one when it first came out, just grabbed it on the Valentine's Day sale, and will keep my eyes open for the next chapter!!
I recommend this game!

... nor games by their simplistic graphics. :]
IMHO, anyone who hasn't finished this game is missing out on a super great, and suspenseful storyline!!
Granted the graphics are not what we are used to on BFG and the mini games were unexpected and a bit frustrating at first, [given they were a focus and one of the criteria for finishing the game], yet, again: WOW, good storyline! And the games are VERY do-able once you figure them out! : }
Anyhoo, with patience and an adventurous spirit, anyone can get through this game and you will be glad you did. The game has a true beginning, solid substance in plot design and a great ending. Also, if you take the time to 'soak in' the environment, envision yourself first person [trying to save your friend], you may also appreciate the design as well. It truly does all pull together once you get into the flow of the game.
So, once I got the 'hang' of this game and got into it, I thoroughly enjoyed it and am very happy I didn't pass it up as I was about to when I checked out the demo.
Don't dismiss this one too quickly, especially if you enjoy 'outside of the box', creative and immersive gameplay!

In this explosive [!] :} episode Nancy travels to lush, historic Scotland and spends most of her sleuthing in bio tech environment trying to solve the mystery of a recent death as it is potentially connected to her own mothers.
Wow... BFG fishies, we all swimming in the 'pond', are very lucky to get this deal; I just paid almost $20 for this same game a month ago [DVD version]; now wish I had waited!!! BFG, you are great to be carrying ND series and so soon after release!!?
I own and have played almost every Nancy Drew game and will be checking back HERE for more.... as another reviewer stated, the ND series keeps getting better and better. I will add, each mystery is unique with new spins and features to gameplay and player first-person adventure driven immersion.*
Check it out... with the BFG price, you can't lose.
*Oh... since there is no "trial", I will add: If you are unfamiliar with the series or adventure gaming in general as they appeared years ago, realize the game engine in this game is not the same as most of those we play here on BFG... it is more of [but not exactly] a point and click and there is little live action. Much of your gameplay is going to be challenging and solving puzzles, etc. There are no H0G but there are voiceovers. The storyline and integrity of the game itself make up for any bells and whistles and you are likely to forget they are not there.
