Though the period-themed games may becoming a bit 'tired' in their commonality, the storyline was a bit different from the recent 'norm, and, therefore, a welcomed change, indeed.
Surprised I overlooked the CE when it first appeared, yet a definite buy based on the Demo...

Based on the Demo this game is a perfect balance of mystery, intrigue, pleasant, scary (without unappealing overt occult, thus far at least)..... I purchased it and believe it is at least WELL worth the price tag.
So, overall, this is a very well made game: nice graphics, clear H0G scenes, appealing cutscenes, voiceovers good, sound great and mix of puzzle with H0G and adventure, a great mix that should appeal to most all casual gamer genre lovers.
Obviously this can't be compared to CE game offerings, yet as presented, it is a definite winner.
Give it a whirl... it's enjoyable gaming in every respect.
Thumbs up.
I recommend this game!

My review pretty much states how I felt about the game; I know I'm in the minority group but feel no shame in expressing my opinion.
I tried liking this game... I REALLY TRIED!!!!!
I even reinstalled on another computer to retrial it and agghhhh.... the title states the truth... it is true... It's a nigtmare realm of a game (to play, that is#. Sorry, but I can't hold back my true dislike of this game. It was totally disjointed and bazaar and not in the sense of interesting, intriquing bazaar, it was just made no sense, frustratingly formulated, dull and nightmarish. Whew... glad I could hit delete and WAKE UP from this one. :p

I am simply loving this game and hope there will be like it.... engrossing, immersive, adventure-ish in style and with only enough H0G scenes (ie. not too many/ with alternate match 3) to make it enjoyable. I am approximately 60% finished.
So far, I am SO impressed. I sure hope the ending doesn't disappoint as many have in the past.... SO many times I begin with enthusiasm and have to force myself to finish.
With PHANTASMAT, I am enticed to finish... in fact I CAN'T STOP PLAYING!!!
I am hoping it doesn't take any detours that will change my mind and if not, I would say... HURRY!!! BRING MORE ON!!!

WOW, a quality Christmas theme-based game; an immediate MUST BUY... there are SO FEW to choose from.
I don't have much more to add in this review that many haven't already covered regarding the game, yet I just had to get my 5 stars in to give kudos to a developer and game site that truly pays attention!!! :)
The Brothers Grimm have assigned the task of revealing the truth behind missing children in the town of Arbourshire; it is up to you to discover the secrets of the Fairy Tale Mystery, before it is too late.
Why is there a "holiday" theme pseudo-song tune subtly clipped in to the beginning of a 'dark' tale about children's souls?
I found it offensive and "politically incorrect" and won't even check out the demo now. What is supposedly good theory, "polictically correctness", should apply to ALL and not just some. If this same type of manipulation was applied to any one else's belief or religion or race, there would be outroar.
That is simply not acceptable IMO.
I don't recommend this game.
