I'm not a sports fan, and I've never seen a baseball game, but this game just makes me smile, especially the ticket shower at the end of each level. The colours are bright and clear, the difficulty mostly just right, although I occasionally have to try a level several times. Also love the quirky commentators' banter, with excruciating puns, between chapters. The only thing I would change is the lack of an option to skip the minigames altogether - you can skip each one without waiting for a skip button to fill, but I do sometimes find them an interruption to the game. Still, five stars anyway!
I think this must be by the same devs as Dream Fruit Farm - one of my favourite games, the game play is so similar. I personally find the jewels not very easy on the eyes, so much as I like the game play I'm not sure it will be a buy for me.
Came across this when looking for games by Far Mills Studio, as I just replayed their Riddles of the Past. Much as I enjoy series like Dark Parables and League of Light, a simpler game like this is a lovely change - reminds me of the Samantha Swift series.
I bought the first - Silver Tale - but was disappointed by the sameness of the levels. The second - Runefall - has scrolling boards, which I don't really like. But this game ticked all my boxes! Attractive, varied tiles, some challenge in having to create bombs to remove obstacles, sorting out which finds to use where, and minigames which are simple but require a bit of thought.
I have all the Laruaville and Spellarium games and often replay them, but my favourite bit is the solitaire. Out of all the solitaire games available I have only ever found one free-cell version and would like to ask the developers to expand this minigame into a complete game - (please, please!)
This is a great series, and number seven goes to a new level! The devs have really let their imaginations loose and produced the most inventive game I've played for a long time. I'm not very far through yet, and I want to make it last as long as possible.
I quite liked this game, it's different and even the early levels are not simple. But after about quarter of an hour the black backgrounds to the tiles put me off.
The most different thing is that you have no choice of balls - all other marble popper, or marble dropper, games I have tried give you a different colour ball if you click the right mouse button, this game just seems to produce them in rotation of the colours which are in the level, and as moves are limited this can get a bit frustrating. Worth a game credit, but I'll probably wait for the next bonus punch Monday.
