Grandma Studios developers, you're all right! I really enjoyed this CE version and all the features you offered in it. Got a lot of bang for the buck! I'm very impressed!
I don't need to elaborate, others do that better but I loved the hidden objects scenes, finding the Sin cards, morphing objects. And about the Sin Cards, if you don't collect all 52 of them you can't play the epilogue but when you click on the interface that shows how many you collected within a scene, you have a chance to retrieve them and continue to the Epilogue. Very clever!
The voiceovers were great, the graphics--awesome. The mini-games and puzzles--right on! The map was very useful and effective as well as the hint button. The game was pretty challenging, easy in some places, hard in others. There were a couple of objects I could not decipher but I figured it. I haven't used the guide in a very long time but it's good to have around just in case.
So, good job developers! Keep up the good work! I highly recommend this game!

Mad Head Games Developers are one of the most clever developers out there. I'm rating this game based on a finished SE version, and am giving it a 4-1/2 stars, even if some of the hidden objects were hard to decipher at times or when clicking on an object with the item needed to complete it would not succeed unless you clicked on the right spot.
One of the spells was shape-shifting into a mermaid. My only suggestion is, and not just with this developer but with others as well, when there are underwater scenes, I prefer completing all the tasks required without getting in and out of the water a dozen times. I don't see the logic in it. However, I enjoyed this game immensely and commend these developers for a job well-done. The puzzles/mini-games were great and so were the hidden object scenes, except for some items that were too light to detect, but I stuck it out and didn't need to use the hint button, which by the way, was very good for transporting. The storyline was very intriguing.
Completing all the tasks to make up all the spells was ingenious. Creating the potions were great. The tasks were not silly but quite intelligently thought-out. The graphics were wonderful, the music was great, the voiceovers were good. I liked the fact that most of the time I was able to use the items in the inventory fairly quickly. There were a couple of items that lingered now and then but all for a good reason.
There was so much to do and the game was quite long for an SE version. I highly recommend it.
I recommend this game!

It doesn't say who the developers are unless I missed it, but bravo to the devs! I loved the characters of this game, the storyline, the movement of the characters, the acting/voiceovers--two thumbs up! I bought the CE version and I'm glad that I did.
Finding the collectibles and morphing objects were awesome and the fact that I was able to retrieve the ones I missed in both the main and bonus games after the fact was cleverly done. Great game. The graphics were wonderful. I'm very impressed.
Lots of tasks, mini-games/puzzles to tackle. I wasn't bored at all for a change. Great job, devs! I highly recommend this game.

Honestly, all I can say is I can't wait to finish the game. I'm 3/4 in to the main portion. I bought the CE version and there is quite a lot to do, and that's a good thing. The tasks are rather clever, great puzzles and mini-games but the scenes are so depressing--mostly dark and muddy. My allergies were acting up just by looking at the scenes with the mold and dust, and cobwebs, and such. Ugh! I prefer color and nice visuals, and this is definitely not my cup of tea; nor would I even consider making a cup of tea in that filthy, dilapidated kitchen. And that bathroom! Horror of horrors. Granted, it is a horror story to be sure, but it's not for me. Practically every room you enter is worse than the other.
I still recommend the game though. It's okay. Most reviewers gave this game a high rating and that's fine. To each his/her own.
I recommend this game!

Mad Head developers are one of the best out there, and this game reflects their creativity and attention to detail except for a few mini-games/puzzles--as an example, the key in the jar with spikes--you have to use the magnet to get the key out by avoiding the moving spikes. The functionality was a little off. It wasn't cooperating, so to speak. There were lots of morphing/collectibles in this CE version. Good HOPS, too. The flow, outside of some of the sluggish functionality, was very good. Pretty decent go-to map and hint button, too.
There were many puzzles and mini-games that were actually fun to do. The storyline is your typical/standard good vs. evil, and saving others. I enjoyed this long game. Very organized and structured. I liked it and am not sorry that I purchased this CE version. I'm giving it rating of 4 stars.
I recommend this game!

MadHead Games, way to go! Very creative! Very intelligent game; so many tasks and mini-games. It's a shame there were only 4 chapters, which, by the way, was cleverly done. I really liked the characters, especially Adam and Allie. But I'm hoping to see more of Adam. His voiceover was excellent, too.
Paranormal/occultic games are not my favorite genre but the tasks will keep you thinking and busy throughout the entire game. I bought the SE version. Adam had so many close calls, I was starting to bite my fingerails at one point. Timelessness, watches, demonic birdlike creatures and, of course, there's always that evil warlord, if you will!
Great game; outstanding developers! The graphics, music, and the flow were amazing. I highly recommend it!

I have been very fond of Domini Games from day one. They've come a long way and deserve high notes on this game in particular. They are in my top five list to be sure!
The long and short of this review is that what I repeatedly look for in a game is intelligent tasks and organization, which can either make or break the game-flow. This game's got it all, in my opinion. I'm half-way through the CE version and am enjoying myself to the max, once again! Because of it's wonderful flow and well thought out tasks, this game may seem easy but it is not. Another great production! Well-done devs! The clever puzzles and mini-games, an all the other trimmings are a big bonus to a fantastic game!
So far I haven't seen any editing problems but if I did, I still wouldn't change my rating. This is Phantom of the Opera all over again, but it's a wonderful, mystical take on the storyline.
I love the HOP scenes and the clever tasks laid out before us. The sound effects are great, the graphics are stunning, the music is unobtrusive and well-done, the voiceovers are appropriate to each character.
Everyone has different tastes--to each his/her own. As for me, I love this game and highly recommend it! Try it out first, if need be.

4Friends Games, you've enlightened me! Bravo, bravo! Outstanding job! I usually like to base my reviews on completed games but I'm one-third into this CE version and I'm digging it immensely!
I LOVE everything about this game. What a great production! The graphics are blowing me away. The stars twinkling in the sky are so realistic and the same goes for the water lapping by the boat dock. The sound effects are excellent--the special effects are awesome--the music is great. You click on the window and you get movement and light and color. It's not the most difficult game but this game pulled me in the moment I started playing. Doesn't often happen that way with me. Also, I don't mind helpers, especially Ash, the corgi! He's too cute for words!
The voiceovers, some sound familiar to me from other games, are exceptional. The mini-games, puzzles, hidden objects, tasks--I could go on and on. Just fabulous! It's a pleasure playing this game! The flow is right on! The storyline gets two thumbs from me.
I love collecting the eggs and I'm so looking forward to the rest of the game and what it has to offer. Without a doubt, I highly recommend this game! Well done, devs! Well done!
I recommend this game!

Ember, who is a demigod, must go after Queen Tempest, the villain in this story, and she needs to save Santa. I've no doubt she'll be successful but it is quite the journey and I'm enjoying myself. There is the cutest little Guinea Pig in one scene and she is quite useful, too!
I'm one-third into this SE version and at first the flow didn't suit my tastes and gradually, I started getting the feel of these devs' strategy. The flow is okay and there are so many good things to do to keep your interest and your mind active. It's not the best game, but it's doable. I like it. There is this cutest little Guinea Pig in one scene and she is quite useful, too! The HOS are different and interactive and the puzzles and mini-games are cleverly done. The artwork is good; I've seen better. However, good job, devs on the storyline! I know the true meaning of Christmas in my heart but the snow, Santa for the kiddies, presents, the reindeer, it's all good and festive and cozy, and what the storyline represents is exactly what Pennmom36 stated in her great review! I'm totally in agreement with her! It's a very touching story, thus far.
Stick with this game and see it through; you won't be sorry. I'm not a proponent of demos for various reasons, but that's just me, but I do encourage you to try it and see a glimpse of what you will be dealing with.
The map is great as well as the hint button. The music is good and so are the sound effects. If it distracts you, turn the sound down or off. Your choice. I do recommend this game!

I'm a couple of hours into this SE game, and it reminds me of when I first started playing Big Fish and other games I'd buy online back in 2012--loads of hidden object scenes, simple art/graphics. I expected more from this game, but it's not a total loss.
Many objects are crisp and bright and some objects I could not figure out what they were; due to some muted colors and the design. But the hidden objects scenes were lovely really.
No voiceovers but it's all text and mind you there are some typos and grammatical errors now and then. There is no map, but when you click the scroll to your left it lists the tasks you must complete. The hint button is good.
A waltz will play in the background, and then the Nutcracker tune will play, and each time you enter the house there's grandma knitting away and suddenly the music changes on a dime--loudly and dramatically but it's brief. Then you go to another area back to the nice waltz once again. That amused me and I'm not bothered by the abrupt sound when it gradually crescendos. It can catch you off guard at times especially when you're engrossed. I just turn down the sound.
Don't be surprised if you have at least 10 items still hanging in your inventory, and oftentimes you won't complete a task the first or even the second time around. That's frustrating to me but then again it adds to the challenge. Most of the time I customize my games not to be so easy anyway. I just need more patience.
The graphics are good, not the greatest but I love the scenes and the Christmas/Winter feel of the game. I'm not sorry I bought this game either. It's got exceptional moments. The hidden object scenes are nicely done and I don't believe thus far they have been interactive. But there have been quite few HOPs.
The storyline is cute--more or less everything turns to candy. The characters and creatures are wonderful. Sound effects are good. Most definitely there are plenty of things to do in this game and that's a good thing!
The flow of this game is like its strategy--chaotic and disorganized, in my opinion. I am definitely not bored, though and look forward to finishing it as opposed to some other games I've played in the past. If truth be told, there is no sense of order in many of the games I've played--tasks should make sense--not be all over the place and choppy.
All devs put a lot of work into them except I feel that many games lack structure, and this game is no exception. However, due to its innate charm, l still recommend it.
