First, we might see another game from this team, but if not, Have a very Merry Christmas. I loved this series from the beginning, but I truly was enjoying this one. The VO's were superb, and the story really got interesting. The collectibles are stockings.
Story: You get an S.O.S. call from your good friend Bernard needing your help. The two movie studios Wolf Studios and the other are having major problems and it could lead to people getting seriously hurt or killed. Bernard was on the job but two guys from the other studios took care of him and now you're not only to avenge your old friend's death, but to try and put a stop to it. In the process you end up with Bernard's necklace that allows you to dopplegang anyone you want. And this is your ticket of getting around without being noticed. And so the story goes.
Graphics: Gorgeous. Really clear and precise. No problem for the H0GS at all.
Music: Fit the game really well.
H0GS; Nice variety really enjoyed them.
Mini games: Really fun and made for the game. For the beta version I didn't need the strategy guide. We will see how it goes if the team put a doozy in there.
Map: Has the indicators of where you are and what to do next. And yes it's a jump map.
This game to me is highly recommended. Kudos to the team.

To me this is the pachyderms teams masterpiece. I played the beta of this game and absolutely fell in love with the game right after the opening. The VO's are superb, the cats are totally adorable (having a cat myself, I adore them). The collectibles in the game are puzzle pieces and morphing objects. In the options screen you do have a Gamma setting for making your game lighter or darker on the contrast setting. There is no gadgets to speak of, but you will have a helper and you will see why.
Story: (Note: When I found out why Puss in Boots was doing this, my throat caught). Good thing for kleenex lol. You come home and find this adorable kitten on your doorstep and instantaneously fall in love with him. You decide to name your cat Simon. Simon grows up and asks a favor of you. He tells you that he isn't no ordinary cat that he comes from Catstown and he wants you to help Santa to stop a Christmas thief. You ask him why me, and he tells you that you were so kind to him to take him in and all. So you gather the things you're going to need, and off you two go. When you meet Santa, he tells you there is a Christmas thief who want to stop Christmas. That thief happens to be Puss N' Boots. You will find out why he doesn't want Christmas and the story goes on...
Graphics: Absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful colors. So vibrant. Loved to look at the scenery.
Music: Really pretty Christmas music all the way through. Loved it.
Mini games: Different varieties. Nicely done just for this game. And on the easy side so far which I love at times. No guide yet :)
H0GS: So far I had a story one, silhouette, list, and put items back where they belong.
Map: You will see the indicators on the map. One snowflake with a yellow circle around it is something to do, and the big snowflake is where you are. It is a jump map.
I just wanted to mainly write a short review to say thank you to the devs for such wonderful and delightful game. I am loving every minute of it. I just want to wish the team a very Merry Christmas as well.

I was very lucky to get the full version of the CE of this game bought on Big Fish. Eventide: Slavic Fable Collector's Edition Purchased on 11/25/15/11/25/2015 3 Purchased Eventide: Slavic Fable Collector's Edition. The VO's in the game were done superbly and the characters in the game are totally adorable. The first one you meet is Lilacus. There are 60 collectibles to be found. Thirty flowers and thirty cards. I would like to say on the cards, you can not pick them up right away like you can the flowers. They have the hidden in boxes and such, and you need other tools to open the boxes and get them. So if you're into the collectibles, make yourself a little not on which ones you have. As it is now I have to do a double check to make sure I have them. There is no gadgets that I have run into.
Story: You play as a botonist doctor Mary Gilbert. And you receive a letter from your grandma that she needs to revive this very important plant that helps keep their village alive. On the way there you end up in a car accident and this guy named Boruta saves your life. You get to in front of your Grandma's house when out of nowhere comes this moth (the size of a dragon) and kidnaps your grandma and sets the house on fire. After you and Boruta put it out, you and Boruta talk and he reminds you that you were afraid of him when you were a child and for good reasons. You and Lilacus set out on a journey to save Baba (grandma) when the moth comes down again and kidnaps Lilacus. So on to the rescue and the rest of the story.
Graphics: Absolutely beautiful. The colors and all, just gorgeous.
Music: Really pretty and sets the ambiance to the game.
Mini games: I ran into complete the picture using the arrows, a tooth one, block slider where you have to get the special block (twice), repair the boat, join a colored gear with their twin, and a few others. Very nice variety and fun.
H0GS: Silhouette, find 12 of one item and a couple of others, really a nice variety as well.

Happy Thanksgiving Eipix! That's if you celebrate it in your country :) I was floored and very very happy when I saw this game on BF's sneak peek. So I downloaded the survey version and found no glitches or flaws. Eipix I think you finally hit that bar you wanted to hit. This game is awesome! I saw they put a warning label on the game, but what I seen in the beta version, it wasn't that gruesome. Doesn't mean it will get going as the game progresses. The VO's are done extremely well. The detective again is downright funny. If you see your cursor turn into a question mark, click your mouse button and see what he has to say. There was no gadgets persay, and I'm not sure what the collectibles were, because as far as I could tell, there wasn't any on the beta version that I noticed. The cutscenes are awesome as well.
Story: You (the detective), start out locked up in the Manchester Lunatic Asylum. (I hope I remembered the name right). You can't remember how you got there, but all you want for your goal is to get the heck out. So you foil your arch nemesis Charlotte and do just that. After the cutscene you arrive at Ravenhearst (or what's left of it) and over hear Alister and one of the twins plotting something. The detective wants to make it his goal to put a stop to the Dalimars once again.
Graphics: Simply awesome. They pulled out the stops on this one as well as the last one. I just stop to look at times.
Mini games: The ones I ran into were really fun and original. Strictly made for this game. The one you have to do from the little box you get I had to wait for the walkthrough. You have to follow the card suits in order, but that one really did puzzle me.
H0GS: There's the list ones where you have 3 different colored words this time for extra steps. Really easy to figure out. Then the ones where you use items to get other items, and I believe the silhouettes. There is a nice variety and really fun.
Music: Very nicely done and adds to the creepiness factor of the game.
Map: Has the Exclamation point to let you know that you have something to do there. It is of course a jump map.
Again, kudos to this team for a job extremely well done. I guess this is this team's saying Happy Thanksgiving :) I highly recommend this game!
This game is off the chain, a masterpiece, and I bought it straight away. I was waiting on this one. Big Kudos to this team for a job very well done, even though if I remember correctly the pachyderm team had it at the beginning. I love the detective. He's downright funny. The VO's are superb. There is one comment though I would like to say on the Strategy Guide, that I liked they gave you the solution to the puzzles in the H0G which if I remember correctly has never been done. But at the same time, if they're going to have morphing objects in the H0G scenes, they could've included them in the guide like they did in the past instead of the souvenirs. With the souvenirs you can at least use the hint if you can't find it. The morphs are find on your own. There isn't no special gadgets to use that I ran into. The collectibles are Harbringers (Ravens). Haven't jumped out of my seat yet, but knowing this team, it'll most likely come lol.
Story: Our detective gets a letter from the Queen to meet Agent Barker at Ravenhearst to get the lowdown on what's going on with Ravenhearst. The detective meets with Barker and Barker tells him his cover has been blown. That he wants our detective to take over. Agent Barker wants to show our detective something, but by the time our guy gets there, poor Barker is hanging over the cliff. Barker's words were: "Detective, look beyond the fog". I don't know if that's suppose to mean something, but now not only do we have to find out what happened with Barker, but also find out about these new owners. And how Ravenhearst became a museum. There is a lot of shady business going on here. (This story i am really looking forward on what is going to happen. Awesome story).
Graphics: Exceptional graphics. It seems to me this team went all out on them more than usual, or it's just me. This game is downright creepy. I'm playing on a HD monitor and really can tell the difference compared to my other monitors.
Music: Really adds to the ambience of the game. Knocks the creep factor up quite a few notches.
Mini games: There was so far for me a different type of Whack-A-Mole game, a six little mini games in one mini game type game, a puzzle you put together in a H0G and a water puzzle you had to do with shapes.
Map: Exclamation point: Locations where you have something to do, X: Where you are, and Question Mark: Active objective. It's a jump map.
H0GS: Look out for morphs. They're not stated in the guide. So far: Straight list, and use one object to get another object. Those are the only two types I remember running into so far.
To me this game is worth a lot more than 5 stars. Again, kudos to the team. I highly recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

This game is off the hook! This to me is one of this team's masterpieces. I call this game "Once in a blue moon game" because my hubby as a rule hardly ever watches me play a game, but this one he did. The intro to the game was awesome, and the VO's couldn't of been better. There wasn't no gizmo in the beta version I played, but Missy goes into flashbacks because of her amnesia. And when that happens you have to look for the green swirls and when you find them you have to click when that happens then white circles come up and it will tell you what happened in the past. Note to the devs on the collectibles. You're one of my fave teams, but it is going a little overboard on the collectibles. The Collectibles are: 44 teapots, 17 letters, 6 hats, and 28 morphs. The morphs are in hidden object scenes only. Please check your guide because 12 of those morphs are in one hidden object scene alone, and it shows where all are.
Story: Your driving down the road minding your own business, when you apply the brakes and you have none. You run into the guardrails and off of the side of a cliff. You want to gather your things before your car goes over. You get this little bag out of your car and find a horse statue and somehow remember you having an interview with Carl Reedley but amnesia kicks in. You finally make it up the cliff only to be greeted by a very rude cop and treats you like a suspect. Poor Miss Dunn's head is reeling and wondering why she is being treated that way. Off to the station she goes to speak to the captain. The captain tells her that Carl's in the hospital and that Miss Dunn had something to do with it, and that her amnesia just happened to all of a sudden come on. Well she does get a chance to prove her innocence in the mean time. The rude cop tells her that the Reedleys are like family to him and that if something happens to Carl, she['ll be put away for a long time. Well Missy goes to the estate and finally sees Sarah (Carl's daughter), and accuses Missy of trying to murder her father. The rude cop just happens to be there and the on the story goes.
Graphics: Awesome graphics. Crisp and clear all the way through. Really the type to stop and look at before continuing the game.
Music: Very well done. Really adds to the atmosphere of the game.\
Mini Games: The first was match the symbols to climp the rope, put symbols together to make the whole symbol, get your playing piece around the track where the gears open and close passageways, just a nice assortment of minis.
H0GS: Morphs are in the H0GS. It's another nice array of H0GS which I really enjoyed playing.
Map: Jump map which has the symbol to tell you what to do next and where to go.
This team did a stand up job on this game. Kudos to them. I highly recommend this game.

Hi guys and Mr. Jenkins! (My fave cat besides my own). This was a very pleasant surprise by my ultimate fave team. The team with the one and only Mr. Jenkins, meow! This game is absolutely awesome. Absolutely spooky with fantastic VO's and a gripping story. Talk about shadows going bump in the night, these shadows are bumping all over the place and they've decided to take your friend Ashley along with them. So not only do you have to try to save yourself, you have to go after your friend Ashley as well, poor missy. The one thing you do have is a lantern that Dr. Parson gave you to ward off the shadows. In order to use the lantern you have to do an untangle the lines mini game. The collectibles in the game are 25 silhouettes/shadows.
Story: You get a video from your friend Ashley stating that she needs your help. So you hop on a bus and as your going on down the road, she sends another stating that she will see you soon. While on the bus, a shadow appears out of nowhere and causes the driver to wreck as he swerves to miss it. You end up in the hospital with a major headaches and the nurse laying on the floor unconscious. You receive another message from saying she'll meet you in the courtyard. You wake up the nurse and she's abducted by the shadows. One word in your vocabulary comes to mind and that's RUN! That's when you meet Dr. Parson and he gives the lantern to your main character. You talked to Ashley, and she says get the ambulance going so we do. We crash through the gate and as you're waking up you see Ashley being abducted. So now off to save Ashley as well as yourself.
Graphics: Absolutely gorgeous. This team always had beautiful graphics. I never seen any of this blue and mauve. They look on my HD monitor like they are suppose to.
Music: Nice job. Really adds to the spookiness of the game. Actually in points of the game it gives me a creepiness feeling.
H0GS: So far I had use one item to get another item to work your way down to get the item you need for the game. I love these types of H0GS.
Mini games: One I played is that you have to use the arrows to put a block together. It sounds easy but you have to be careful not to link a block where it shouldn't be or it's a reset. This is the only one I played besides the untangle the strings for the lamp. Still early in the game. But I've always loved this teams mini games, so I am sure I will enjoy the rest.
Map: It has the legend on the left of the map to show what it means, and it's a jump map.
Just want to say Kudos to this team for an extremely well done game. I am truly enjoying every bit of it. Infinite stars. I highly recommend this game. (Sue W)

Today's game to me is this team's ultimate masterpiece. I am a huge fan of Dark Tales (not only because of the story, but Dupin lol), but this game to me is even better. The VO's are done awesome, the detective is hilarious, and the story really gripping. There are no animal helpers, (even though I love them), or gadgets, and the collectibles I saw in the beta version so far are skeletons which you use as money to build your own tombstones. It's really cool. Also the game play seems a little different as the controls changed some. The control change is in your options on the Custom mode setting. You will see what I meant when you play the game.
Story: You and the detective start off at a subway station and he is very adament about getting the last train. So you go into the station you end up on one of those people movers. As you are going down the people mover, things start to change. You're off the people mover and in the subway station, but the subway station is in ruins like it hasn't even been built or it's been destroyed. You find out you are back in the year 1946. You end up going down into the tunnel and run into a ghost named Rupert Lee. He tells you that he sacrificed his daughter to save a train load of people and he wants you to go back and like redo history to where his daughter didn't have to die. And so off you go.
Graphics: This team always had awesome graphics, but in this game to me they are better. More crisp and clear than usual. Kudos guys.
Music: Done really really well. It totally adds to the creepiness factor.
H0GS: So far I only ran into 2 find so many of one item and and 2 story ones. I don't know if there will be others or not. But I love these kind.
Map: Has the indicators to tell you what to do and is a jump map.
Mini Games: So far one was him climbing down a hose where you had to put two symbols together to make one symbol to keep his progress down the ladder going, a card game you play with death, and a fuse mini game. Nice variety and original.
I want to give the devs a big kudos on this one. Exceptionally very well done. I highly recommend this game.
Well, I traveled all 48 states in real life in a big rig, so now I can do it on a game and it's a lot more fun. :) The VO's are done well. The one thing lacking in the game is there's no wild cards as I see of yet. I'm in the 2nd state. As for the store, you can't go shopping when you want. You have to wait for the item to unlock before you can buy it. The first round is the whole tutorial, and then after that you're on your own.
Story: You're getting tired of your old job, and your friends keep telling you your cooking is awesome enough to start a restaurant, and so that's what you decide to do. The goal you set for yourself is to open a restaurant in all 48 states. And so off you go!
Game Play: The game is a one up one down solitaire game like Fairway. The game gives you goals that you must meet before you can carry on. So far the only goals I ran into was to get 3 chef hats and 1 star to continue on with the game. I go for the 3 stars, more money. I am not sure if the goals change which I hope they do. You also have little hazards that you must get rid of so you can play a card. It only has the hazard on one card. If the card is greasy, you need the spray bottle, or if it has an egg on it, you need the spatula, and bacon needs the tongs. There are 10 rounds per state.
Mini games: There are 4, but the only one I ran into so far was making hamburgers. You make as many hamburgers as you can in the allotted time.
Items: The ones I unlocked so far is the mixer which shows you how many cards are left in the draw deck, and the pan which turns over 10% of your cards on the board.
It still is a lot of fun. Maybe give it a try if you like :) Kudos to the team.

Glad to see this team is back and with an awesome game! This is the sequel to "Where Angels Cry". The VO's are awesome! Our main character's voice I nearly had a meltdown. Reminded me of the Bing Crosby days when the women crooned over his voice lol. In the game you will see black crows with purple smoke floating around them. Click on them and you will get more background story of the game. When you click to pick up certain main items, you will get a gear with little circles on it. You need to put extra items in those circles to get the main one. For the collectibles in the beta version so far, you pick up white doves. Also in the beta, (not sure if this is going to be in the real game), you'll get tips on game play and then the game itself will start up again. For example, when the Monk was traveling from the Monastary to the village he needed to go, the game brought up a tip screen and told you to click continue to continue. I wasn't sure if that was the end of the beta or what was going on. Also, just for fun, click on different things to see if your Monk makes a comment. For example, click on the pig where the guard is and see his comment. :)
Story: We'll be traveling to Spain. Rumor has it that inquisitor Augustine lost his marbles. He became obsessed with hunting this witch down named Miguela who is also known as the Wolf Queen. On the inquisitor's quest to find her and kill her, the inquisitor killed many people so there the people are totally terrified of the inquisitor. So it's up to us to put an end to the inquisitor once and for all.
Graphics: Absolutely gorgeous. If your monitor supports HD, it's really awesome. The graphics can appear so lifelike. And there's a lot of 3D graphics too.
Music: Really really pretty. Fits with the game perfectly.
Hint system: Awesome! Usually, you hit the hint button to see where you have to go next and then hit again to keep going. With this hint system, you hit the hint button once, and you just keep following the arrows to where you need to go. Also if you go into the wrong place the hint arrow will come back up and still show you the way. Kudos to the team for this. Very very helpful.
Mini games: Really really fun. Some are on the easy side, but I like this. The first one was a cross one where you had to put the crosses into their correct places, another was 3 tanagram puzzles in a row to open a box, and another was where you got into a fight with the inquisitor and you have to make sure the crosshairs are in the middle of the shield and then click your mouse so you protect the Monk. Nice variety.
H0GS: In the beta version I ran into lists and silhouettes. After you find all the items on the list, you still have extra things to do in order to get your main item for the game.
Map: It tells you what the map indicators are for, and it is a jump map.
All in all again this is one awesome game. Kudos to the team for a job well done. I highly recommend this game.
