IF you could see them!! Why is there no magnifier or is it teeny tiny, also? It certainly would have been handy-dandy! The scenes were so laden with everything imaginable that I lost sight of the pets and struggled to find most of the items. They were too small, too well blended or amongst too much clutter. Many of the pets were teeny sized, hard to spot due to color.
Great challenge, for sure! Superior graphics and color, variety of list styles, cute puzzles, fun games. The quality was there for the most part. However the pets weren't the main focus. The plethora of other stuff took attention away from them. Levels were locked, slow hint recharge, no magnifier.
Usually I love these animal games and own many of them. However this one wasn't so much fun, for me. The demo was tedious and it ended in disappointment. I'm sure many others will love it. There's lots to search through. If you have eagle eyes be very grateful! Have fun!
It is too much like the other HOGs we are deluged with already. Being from this dev means the game will not be disappointing in quality. The graphics are always superb and there's more than enough to keep you busy for a long time. Even so it makes no sense, for me, to buy when I can just reach into my inventory for a game just like it. However, we are usually learning about other countries so it is refreshing to explore our own backyard.
The locations in this game are brimming with HOs and other misc, making the scenery very busy. The list items are mostly hidden very well being in darkened areas or very small, some hidden in plain sight. Always thankful for the handy-dandy magnifier. You'll need it for those little items in dark places. The challenge depends a bit on the play mode you choose but I think it's really good even in easy play.
Features/options are great. There's a fun variety of mini games and I enjoy the fun facts which make the game educational for all ages. I actually know less about America than other countries. This is a nice game, the 12 bonus chapters make it appealing to CE fans. If you love HOGs you'll certainly be glad for this one to add to your collection.
It is a pass for me only because I already own so many of this type of game. Now I need something new to stimulate my interest.
If the colors were better and brighter I would be more enthusiastic about this pixel style collection. After all the time spent filling in the cells the reward is not great plus the variety of images could be much better. Some improvements are needed for this to be a fun painting experience.
I love the spools of thread rather than a palette and love that the cells are so big and easy to see once you zoom in. It would be nice not to have so many cutesy images. Also when the images are finished that's all I want to see. I don't appreciate the obstacles on the canvas during and after painting.
The needlework stitches and spools are a unique idea and the minimal features work just fine. Completing an image isn't a quick feat as there are so many cells even in the simplest looking ones. That makes it a long lasting game. But appealing colors and more interesting subject matter are needed for me to purchase.
I can recommend if you're looking for something a bit different and can overlook the few cons I have mentioned. Fantasy Land colors are somewhat better than in the previous releases but the images are adolescent, more suited for a coloring book.
There are so many of these games that SO much stuff has turned into TOO much stuff. This is another of Tiny Little Lion's fun creations. Fantastic graphics, lots of color, nice assortment of puzzles/games. The variety of themes makes it more interesting. There are all sorts of HOs that you don't see in most other HOGs so that's an appealing plus.
If you love this kind of HO game you'll be tickled pink with this one. For me it doesn't take long to become bored but I really do enjoy the game up to that moment when I realize it has turned to tedium. However, quality abounds in this beautiful game, perfect for those who just can't get enough HO games to add to their collections.
You can't go wrong choosing a Cruise Director game. Just like Park Rangers the entertainment and quality never falters. The graphics are always stellar, the activities are fun with just the right level of challenge so everyone can enjoy. I especially appreciate that the vacationers are not cartoon characters.
The scenes are bustling with people enjoying their vacations, the locations are not boring, there's so much to take in and lots of hidden objects to find. For me this is a feel good game that never disappoints. Even with it being basically the same each time it doesn't matter because it is always reliable for relaxing fun and quality content.
It's good to get away from the dark, gloomy games once in awhile and enjoy something nice and cheery!
Many items required several attempts to pick up and those in inventory needed several to place them where needed but it wasn't really a big bother, just frustrating. The locations were dark so I had trouble locating the collectibles and morphs. I finally stopped looking just to save time. Too many helpful sparkles made the adventure feel more like a stroll through the park.
I was making good progress until the demo cut me off at 40 minutes and I couldn't get back in. In my short trial I was tending to tasks that actually made sense and didn't involve a ton of broken locks and the usual silly things. My amulet and crow friend will prove to be important along the way and my dog companion will maybe be useful as well.
The storyline is interesting with the witches and hunters including Hansel. I'm curious about a grown up story of Hansel and Gretel. The characters so far look and sound great. Graphics are beautiful but rather dark, locations are dreary due to destruction and abandonment, dark color. I found them interesting and sad.
I had only a couple of games and 2 brief HOPs in the demo. They were easy and enjoyable, different from the norm so that was a definite plus for me. Not much challenge but it's something that's unavoidable in today's games, no matter the dev or subject matter. This story interests me and hopefully the BC is a SEQUEL.
There are lots of collectibles, morphs, achievements and a secret challenge game that may be worthwhile. So this will be the first CE I have purchased in a very long time and I usually am very happy with Friendly Fox. I'm rating 5 stars in spite of the short demo because it's Hansel and Gretel, along with some wishful thinking.
I love hidden object games but I never enjoy this type from Do Games. In my opinion Domini is treading in territory that is best left to devs who can "deliver the goods". The character is beautifully rendered. The graphics are huge and colorful so the objects shouldn't be so obscure. The scenes are quite challenging, to me, because the objects are concealed in such dark areas or they just are not recognizable. They don't look anything like I expect. I never shy away from challenge but this kind is not fun, it is aggravating and kills the joy of playing.
There are lots of mini games and the demo presented a good variety. A fair mix of easy and hard. I really enjoyed them, they were mostly different from the norm and that made them interesting and fun. The story seems unnecessary to me in this kind of game. I see no point if there's nothing but HO scenes and no adventure to dig into.
I don't think this a bad game if you love HOGs and don't mind that the storyline is insignificant here. Being a CE is another drawback, there is nothing to warrant the extra cost unless the bonus chapter is something really super special and I doubt that will be the case. I wish I could be more generous with the stars.
As far as I'm. concerned Tiny Little Lion has kept BF from becoming stagnant these days. With so few quality games being offered they are a welcomed relief. Of course, not everyone is crazy about all the HOGs but at least they make a grand effort to bring us quality.
The countries featured in the puzzles are great choices, options and features make assembly fun and interesting, I love the huge selection of piece shapes. You can use your own custom images, so that greatly increases the enjoyment. I'm always searching for great images to turn into puzzles.
This feature is important with the images in this collection not being as great as I expected. The animals were rather disappointing, some images were just not puzzle worthy like rocks, wood, and especially in the food category. Art, culture, people, beautiful scenery, interesting animals are missing.
Australia and New Zealand are not well represented here, in my opinion. Still if you love collecting puzzles of various countries and appreciate the variety of categories featured, this will please you.
This couldn't have come at a better time with so many inferior games we get so frequently. I play my old CH games very often. The challenge and entertainment never wears out. I love the constant strategy involved to remove the coins.
Limited Moves is my favorite play mode but I enjoy Limited Time now, too. Each game is basically the same but I don't care, they are just so much fun. I love the mini games, especially STD, and moving the diamonds with the beetle which is a great exercise in strategy.
The boards are tricky in layout, the icons not very attractive but interesting. I love the fire and mirrors, they really test my skills and frustration level. But that's all part of a well designed game that uses smart ideas to keep the boredom away and the interest and fun ever-present.
I was thankful for the sale today, buying this great game for just $5.00.
The artwork is stunning, the colors are bold and gorgeous. The small palette produces amazing results. The images are hidden beneath numbered stones which you remove one at a time, each having a color or you can choose all grey. The amount of stones can be increased by percentage which creates more layers of them.
It is an extremely easy process, far too easy which makes it not fun. However if the stones are grey it will take a bit longer even with them being so large. There is really no need for the hint feature. There isn't enough variety of imagery, mostly faces. More animals and other misc items with this art style would have been great. However the wow factor is still high.
Removing the stones becomes very boring and the levels will be gone in a flash without some sort of challenge to slow things down. But the beauty that awaits is definitely a great reward if you are satisfied with a simple, new, relax without thought sort of "game".
