Not good. Only the graphics excelled, but for the rest I really do regret buying it. I expected something far more memorable than this. It doesn't seriously follow the storyline. You are backwards and forward looking of items and then finding where to place them. That's about it. It's a 'Hide and Seek' game with little to recommend it. How sad, it could have been lovely
so much as it is for entertainment. What I have enjoyed about this game is the puzzles vary a lot and they don't make you feel you are failing all the time. It isn't the challenge so much as the fact that the game is fun to play. It has a clear story and distinctly different areas you have to explore to save your friends, all of them interesting. If you want a quiet time and enjoy playing for entertainment then this is a very good game. You can of course make it hard for yourself, there are the three levels of difficulty but 'just for fun' is good :)
If you don't mind bouncing around from pillar to post to achieve just one thing and then having to use the hint button because you've lost the plot (what plot?) then it's somewhat compelling. I didn't enjoy the opening scenes but as the story continued I was dragged in and did finally finish it. The kids were nice I will say that, not the rather nasty little whiners so many of them are. I was glad to see 'our hero' taking a turn at the action. I get very tired of various characters saying "WE must hurry" and then leaving it to our heroine to do it all while they vanish with some weak excuse not to be there for her. All and all it was okay, but little logic which made it hard to follow without using the hint button to know where to go next.
I recommend this game!

Secret Trails: Frozen Heart Collector's Edition
Your surprise visit is ruined by a blizzard. Who caused it, and what does he want with your little sister?
The scenes are very clear, the voices acceptable BUT oh dear, it's all so 'sweet'. there's too many comments and the constant use of my name was jarring. I found it all very off putting. Probably great for someone who is new to HOGs but I found it very junior.
but a very good game for people who are just beginning to play Hidden Objects. It's not too hard and the hint button gives you more than just one hint, it will take you to the next item to be dealt with. The scenes are pleasant and the voices easy to listen to. Everyone's nice except for the villains and they are not that bad :) I would suggest that for seasoned players it's just a nice way to pass a relaxing wet day.
Normally I avoid these types of games with their ugly scenes and drear people, but this one rose out of the ordinary and managed to keep me entertained. It is drear, but not grim in the way so many of them are, the people are acceptable, even those in the house, but there's definitely something going on and it does need to be solved if all is to end well. The first game is full of mystery and concern but it's compact and you aren't running around like a chook with its head chopped off, things have some logic and it isn't hard to find your own way around. By the time you reach the bonus game things are on the up and up and everyone is a lot happier and not so mysterious, although there are things still to be sorted out. I enjoyed it, and that's saying a lot from someone who avoids grim scenes and dirty bathrooms like the plague.
A strange and deadly pollen is spreading around the world, and you’ve been hired to track down its source. But the secrets you discover in the fabled kingdom of Floralia are much darker than you imagined...
There is no fault in any direction with this game. It is lovely to look at, the background music is peaceful, the voices modulated and the story is clear and easy to follow. My biggest grizzle in most games is you are running back and forth trying to find some logic in the game… this one is not in any way like that. Each step along the way has logic, you aren't trying to clear cobwebs with a stick or wiping a dirty surface with a feather. Each aspect is clear and concise and you move, with some challenge from one part to the next in logical progress. Loved the game and thoroughly recommend it
I think my main concern is that it's another one of those games where it is difficult to find one's way around and so often the answer to a problem is a bit stupid and not at all expected (which is why it's a bit stupid I expect) I gave up trying to follow the reasoning about why I should go to one place instead of the one I expected and whilst I like the scenery and the characters I was thwarted by the need to use the map or the hints to get around. I might be sounding picky, but I really do believe that the game should have some logic attached and that logic will make us think and follow what we have worked out should comes next, it doesn't. Still I did finish the game and it was a pleasant enough experience once I accepted I was not going to 'shine' at it.
If I had had to really rush back and forth from one point to another in real time I would have been exhausted by the third trip and angry with the fact that I had to return to do more in the same place… BUT other than that, I enjoyed the game. I think probably more for the scenery and the Nearwood elf who acted as the 'hints man' and who saved me much travelling back and forth by guiding me through to the next stage, although not by transporting me, sadly. The story was nice, and the ending was good, so not a bad game and well worth the time if you have a rainy afternoon.
It isn't as great as some of the game here, but it was still pretty good and I was happy to play it right through. Nice people, lovely scenery, easy voices, a transport and hints from a very funny skull. I enjoyed it at lot
