A game worth playing! Hercules and crew are at it again!
I have played all these games since the beginning and they are well worth playing. The story lines keep it interesting, it can be played in the difficulty setting you desire (yes, I prefer untimed), and the silly way you can interact with the creatures is great.
Please don't change these games and keep making them!
This is no "Roads of Rome" or "Roman Adventures". I hadn't even heard of "Heroes of Rome" 1 or 2. So I decided this might be interesting.
It wasn't.
I made it through the first level with some instruction and ended up without enough materials to finish it. There was no indication of how I could get more materials or what to do next. I ended up feeling stuck and frustrated and really didn't have any inclination to start over and try again. This game just didn't strike me as worth playing.
The story line was nothing more than "the monsters are restless", the music was a bit boring, but the game was even more boring. Most of the time was spent waiting for items to respawn enough to be able to accomplish what needed to be done. When they said "Add another worker", all I could ask was "Why?".
Give it a try and see what you think, but this is definitely not for me.
This is definitely not another Rescue Team game. It seems to me that, in trying to reinvent the original, they have done nothing more than make it complicated.
In putting up buildings, you are given a decent amount of places to put them, but then you find you need multiple buildings of the same kind. Add that the items you need are slow in coming and it makes it frustrating. And, yes, there is a TON of reading... some of which is unnecessary.
If you follow the basic hints (don't turn them off), you can pretty much figure the game out. But it lacks that quick pace of the other games.
Yes, another Portals game! I purchased this without even trying it and have not been disappointed!
The "hidden objects" are just a touch harder to find and the game is a little bit trickier, but the story is fascinating and the game-play is fast and fun.
There is one weird part that comes up sometimes where the soldiers seem to forget the building they are working on is finished and they keep building... but that's easily gotten by simply by assigning them a different task.
I love these games and hope they keep them coming!
This is kind of a standard "fetch and carry" game. You mine, chop, and forage through the world in an attempt to gather some gems.
While a lot of fun, it's a little bit repetitive. You can't turn off the chatter at the beginning of each game, but you can turn off the tutorial. If you prefer to play without a time limit, the easy option does that.
It's no "Roman Adventures" or "New Yankee", but it's worth checking out.
The Yankees are back! All the snark, mayhem, and general fun are still in the game. I purchased this without playing the demo first and have not been disappointed at all!
This company makes me feel as if they listen to the people who play their games. They've kept the things that make the game fun and added a few little things to keep it interesting.
The characters in the game play threw off the whole feeling as they were too large for the playing field. The items regenerated pretty quickly, but it took these huge people too long to get to them. The items sort of randomized where on the location they would regenerate, also, though that didn't make a whole lot of difference. The whole feeling of the game was bulky and slow.
I only managed 2 and 1/2 levels before I quit, so maybe it improves, but it showed no sign of doing so. This is a definite "no" for me. Others should try it just to be certain.
This game is a time-killer. You do the same thing over and over, you wait for needed items to drop, the story-line is non-existent, and the "big bonus" is doing a puzzle after some bonus levels.
Still, it wasn't horrible. It moves along at a steady pace and there is some challenge to it. I'd say this game is a good choice if you have nothing else to play.
Another of the fun Rescue Team games! The story is interesting and the action much the same as the others. They've returned to having to go to the store each time you need an item instead of letting you get them all at once and there's a little bit of a feel of being forced to build certain buildings in certain places, but the game is fantastic.
They can't make enough of these. This is one of the very few games I bought straight out without trying first. I was not disappointed.
