So the reason for the game is a little bizarre... but we've been through aliens and mad scientists, so why not hacked robots?
I was so glad to see this game come out. Yes, it's kind of the "same old same old", but, with the rescue games, that doesn't really matter! It's still great fun and the story is entertaining.
Please keep making these and thank you for another great game!
This is definitely no Rescue Team game. It has buildings in it that have no clear name/reason to be there. I keep having to build something then tear it down to build something else.
The game seems to have been written to be purposefully slow in places and... it just lacks. Even the story line is kind of boring.
I'm only on level 10, so I expect this will get worse. I've purchased the game in hopes that it will improve, but I find myself doubting it.
The good time management games seem to be taking a break, so this will pass the time if you're just looking for something to do. I really did want to like it... but... eh... nope.
I'm not sure if this game is supposed to be "Roads of Rome" or "Roman Adventure", but it contains some of the best of both. However, it looks much more child-like than the "Roman Adventure" games. You don't get to choose where to build anything and the whole board is shown from the beginning.
Toward the end of the game, it gets a little laborious to wait for items to spawn and monotonous in clearing the roads.
Storyline? I'm sorry... there's a storyline to this? While you do get interesting facts, there is very little "interaction" between characters and after a while you forget why you're doing all this.
Still, the game manages to be fun. While it's no "Roman Adventure" (how I wish they'd make another of those!), it's enjoyable and worth adding to your collection.
Something totally new! Well, for the most part. It's a "wait for products to refill" and "figure out what the best way to go is" game... but the story-line is different. That's what really kept me playing this game. I feel as if I finally have one of those "hidden object" game story-lines in different game type! (The Hidden Object story-lines are usually better and more thought out than other games.)
Anyway, it does get a little repetitive after a while, but I think it's worth the effort to see where the story goes. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. (That and the main character runs backwards quite often, which is a bit off-putting.)
I'm a casual player and have had a blast with this game. As always, the crew is up to their usual humor and the sarcasm is abundant. The game runs smoothly and the items don't take "forever" to reproduce.
I have not been disappointed in any Incredible Dracula game yet!
This game is ok. You can tell it's a "Hercules" game due to the fact that all the "hidden objects" have an H on them. Cleopatra and Caesar don't act much like leaders, waffling between diplomatic heads of state and whiney teenagers. I also feel badly that they turned Anubis into a bad-guy, but that's what these games are all about... they need a villain.
The game play is good and the story line is ok. I haven't had any of the glitches - so far - that others are talking about. And it doesn't help that you simply don't know/can't tell what the boosters do. (Took me a while to figure out what the "beauty parlor" - seriously?! - did to help the game.)
So, taken with a grain of salt, this game is ok. If you like the Hercules games, you'll probably like this one.
They're back! The Yankees are at it again and most of the old familiar characters make an appearance... at least for a little bit. I kind of missed Max, though he shows up now and again, but he doesn't have much to do.
I noticed one oddity. In two of the side games (like 1-a or 1-b), one of the helpers got scared by a skeleton and stopped working. He didn't respond in the "oh my gosh" run, nor did he respond to anything else. He walked around doing nothing, eventually went into the castle, and never reappeared. This wasn't a very bad thing... just annoying. Now you have two guys helping instead of three.
Other than that, I had no problems with the game and had a great time playing. I kind of felt the snarkiness of the game was a little lacking - the genie seemed just plain mean - but, again, it didn't really take away from the game.
This reminds me of the old games back when all this was rather new. Back when you used to spend hours just wandering around on a screen waiting for enough items to build whatever you needed and trying to figure out what you were supposed to be doing. I disagree with whoever said this was as interesting as Adelantado... this game is boring!
I made it as far as the third quest, shook my head and quit. It may be exciting for some people, but not for me. I'd much rather another Roman Adventures or Adelantado rather than this mess!
I'm feeling like we've been in a dry spell for good time management games (though I play them without a time limit). This game finally broke the dry spell for a little bit.
I'd say the game is excellent, but there is a segment where you shoot bad guys that is a bit fast for slower players such as myself. (Took a star off for that because I couldn't get enough stars to finish the town in the minigame.) Otherwise this is great fun.
The story is a basic western... mayor is trying to save his town, bad guy is robbing everyone, indians are helping out the good guys, and so forth. It may not be for everyone, but I'd say definitely give it a try. You may like it more than you thought you would.
