I don't usually like match 3 games. This one was an exception. The puzzles were something that could be solved in a reasonable amount of time. There are 2 ways to play the game, either timed or untimed. The graphics were fun and colorful. I didn't listen to music so not comment there. After you solve a match 3 puzzle you get points, resources and gold. As you accumulate these goods you can build your city. There are 100 levels to play through before you are finished. A good amount of game for the money.

It took me a while to figure out how to play this game. There were no real tutorials. That said, when I figured out what I needed to do it was fun. Since there are no timers, one doesn't have to click fast or make quick decisions about what to do next. The game does get a bit repetitious as you get farther into it. I believe there are five places you have to visit and develop before you are finished. So far the tasks are the same for each level. I can't say I'm bored but I haven't found much new lately. I am on level 4. It's not hard to stop and start and you don't have to be highly skilled or a good clicker to enjoy it.

This is an okay game. I made the mistake of buying it without a trial because of PLAYRIX and I loved Royal Envoy I and II. It is fun if you don't want much challenge and don't mind all the gabbing. I wasn't in the mood for that. My grandkids will love it. It was well drawn and produced, just not my style. I recommend it only if you are a very casual gamer.

This was not really a time management as billed. I would have to say it is more of an adventure game. There were tasks to fulfill and no real time limits. It was not especially hard to play. As you complete tasks you are rewarded and eventually get awards. The story line is the usual do good and defeat the dark forces. Along the way the hero finds his father who had been captured very early in the game. The graphics were very simple and you need sharp observation skills in order to find all the goods scattered amongst the various settings. They are not hidden as much as extremely tiny/discrete. If you get lost on what to do next, a hint will tell you where to go or what to do next. There is a nice map so you can jump around. You buy and sell objects to get what you need to continue your adventure. It is sometimes tricky to remember where you can sell/trade things to get what you must have to complete a task. I enjoyed it enough that I will play it again sometime and try to get all the awards.......
I recommend this game!

Journey: The Heart of Gaia
After being kidnapped, Liz must free the Underworld from the tyranny of Scartaris Umbra.
I played the whole game. I enjoyed the illustrations and the fact that it was bright. For the most part there were no animations but that didn't detract for me. It is not a HOG but more of a collectors/adventure game. Hints are easy to access if you need them. There is no journal and none is really necessary. There is a book/map that indicates where clues/objects are and the game is nice enough to tell you when an area is complete.
There is a cumulative timer and I ended up playing almost 6 hours, nice bang for my buck. There are two parts to the story. When I defeated the first Villian there was a second to go after.
The objects were not terribly hard to find but some were challenging. The mini games were sometimes easy and sometimes challenging. There are several to try. You can skip after a reasonable amount of time.
I am an intermediate to expert gamer and was entertained throughout the game. I appreciate the fact that this was not a dark game with a lot of violence.
I'm really enjoying this game. The HOS are often double deep meaning you have to go in a second layer to finish the first. The mini games are different from the usual. The directions are not very good for the mini games but I stuck with it and figured it out. The game is not terribly hard or frustrating, just fun. The graphics are sharp, colorful, and well drawn. I don't listen to music so no comment there.
The story line is not hard to follow and I don't have to have the memory of an elephant or scene jump much to keep things moving. I've played harder games that I haven't enjoyed as much.
If you really like lots of challenge, this is probably not going to be the game for you. But if you like beautiful graphics and a story that is logical and not too hard to follow, try it.
I was baffled by most of the game. The routine of finding tools and solving problems was pretty familiar and entertaining for the most part. What I had trouble with was the back and forth between two time eras and trying to relate that to the story. Had to use frequent hints to get back on track and re focus on my goals. I didn't find it a waste of time but when I have to keep resorting to hints it's not much fun for me.
The art work/graphics was easy to read. I don't listen to sound so no comment there. The problem solving wasn't all that hard. The challenge came with trying to tie things together. I guess it just wasn't the game for me. I was glad when it was over......

This game makes me think! Basically it is a strategy game that does't have moving characters. One moves from site to site and must fight battles with the "cards" you have. You start out with some easy cards and earn more as you advance through the levels. Each card has some powers assigned to it and if you put up the proper combinations you can defeat your enemy and move on to the next site. It is not timed so you can think things through. If you are defeated you just try again, nothing is lost.
I don't listen to sound so no comment there. The illustrations are simple. I am still learning the game and how to keep moving through the levels. My guess is you will love it or hate it. For now, I am finding it somewhat addicting. I want to beat the game! Try the hour and you will pick up how to play. There are not any significant directions to it and it probably took me a couple of rounds before I started to understand how it worked. Good luck!

I tried and bought this based on some of the rave reviews. I guess I'm not as high on it as they were. Maybe it is because I'm used to more control or maybe it just wasn't for me.
You are given challenges at the start of each chapter and when you meet them you move on to the next chapter. The challenges aren't particularly difficult-Find survivors, collect gold, and discover new territory. I became frustrated in that when a structure became obsolete I couldn't tear it down and build something else with the materials. Also, space was at a premium so it would have been nice to have more room. At the beginning of each chapter I wanted to hit the ground running and had to wait for the game to give me permission to do what I wanted to do.
It's not a bad game but I will pass on the next rounds. There wasn't enough new and different for me. The levels were pretty much the same with occasional new items introduced.
After you play your free hour, just know it is pretty representative of the rest of the game. It doesn't "grow".
I don't recommend this game.

Mystic Legacy: The Great Ring
Uncover the dark legacy hidden within a Romanian castle to save your friend from an evil spirit!
I enjoyed this game. I would have liked it better if it didn't have a little glitch. If you dipped into the inventory too close to the bottom of the box, it changed the screen size. The task bar came up and one couldn't see the hints or all the items on the list for a search. This was pretty annoying. The game was pretty classic HOG. I didn't need help on the searches or mini games. I did use help on my goals. It was sometimes hard to know where to go next. A couple of the mini games were new to me, therefore fun. I don't listen to sound so I can't comment on that. There was supposed to be an extra scene if the player found all the hidden lions while playing. It would have been nice to have a counter so players would know where the were in the process. Graphics were clear and easy to see. I only graded it as okay because of the glitch of having to restart so many times because I couldn't see the whole screen. Without that problem I would have liked it much better. I conditionally recommend it based on if you are willing to put up with the glitch.
