This is such a unique excellent game, in plot and graphics and gaming. I highly recommend you play the first game, Syberia, before this one. There is a good level of challenge that will interest any gamer. This type of game is a departure from the creepy hidden object/puzzle games I usually love, this is more adventure. Recommended to all!
This a very good SE game, loved the art deco and classic movies theme. Hidden object scenes pretty good, nice creepy overtone to the plot. minigames only moderately challenging. appreciated the map so you could jump from scene to scene. turned off the voices, found them annoying. All in all a game worth playing if you are a hidden object fan.
Just loooooooved this game, THANK YOU developers for the plot and no voiceovers!! Loved the cats. Played on hard core and for once there weren't any indications of active zones (other games say they don't have them on hard core but they do). So many great extra touches, like the creepy hand tree branch and the hint cat that follows the bugs that fly by. minigames werent very hard but still fun. Can't wait for the next game from this developer! Great game for any hidden object fan, or any cat owner!
finally a hidden object CE that lives up to the name! The story is interesting, and I really like the variations on the hidden object games, and the new twists to some of the usual minigames. The negatives are minor: the awful voice overs(so glad I could turn them off) , too much leading in the comments, and the teary kids, I've seen enough teary kids in these games! This is definitely worth the CE price!
I struggled to get through enough of this game to rate it, and I can't take anymore. It's so easy as to be painful, so boring that it is a chore to play, so dumb as to have wooden frogs hopping around a "real" jungle. And isn't it amazing that everything is right where you need it? You mainly go from hohum hidden object scenes and dreadful silhouette hidden object scenes. Maybe this was supposed to be for kids? Anyone with half a gamers brain should skip this one.
The hidden object scenes were average, the minigames easy. The "boss games" to win the objective in both the regular and bonus sections were so easy as to be insulting. The art was cartoonish, the villian looked like one of the villian/ghosts from Scooby Doo, I kept expecting him to say "if it weren't for those meddling kids........" The plot and dialogue were sappy (and bizarre at times- e.g.a characters hangs from his feet hundreds of feet above the ground, while the other character runs around doing tasks) and got worse as the game went on. There was too much leading in the dialogue also. This game would be good for hidden object fans without much experience who don't like the darker creepier games.
I really liked this game, despite the sappy plot line, it was saved by the dark side of the game! Good hidden object scenes, moderately hard games. Wish the bonus content had been developed into the main game and vice versa. Loved the little lizard! Hidden object gamers should like this one!
I agree that this is the run of the mill hidden objects adventure game. Had to turn off the annoying voices, the environment noise, and the music. I hate when they put"actors" in these games, it just detracts from the game and adds nothing. I guess those who can't act, do computer game scenes. Good things: 3 levels of play, ability to turn off annoying sounds. Bad things: plot, actors, hidden object scenes too easy, games not much challenge.
Love the creepy, grisly overtones of the game, both plot and artwork. Also like how some of the hidden object scenes are reminiscent of MCF (play Madame Fate). Plot ties in pretty well with first game. Games are moderately challenging. Probably not for kids. Good length, worth the money. much better than the 3rd game (this is the 2nd), and that one is a CE.
This is a very good game, great length, surprised they didn't sell it as a CE (Thank you developers!) Games are moderately challenging, hidden object scenes are good. What thing gets a little annoying in this series are the conspiracy theories. I picture the game writers as the Lone Gunmen from the X Files, what's next, a HOG on JFKs assassination? Gamers who like HOG should definitely play this one.
