This was overall a pretty good games. Many of the puzzles were a challenge. My biggest gripe is that the overall graphics were on the "cheesy" side and definitely looked like drawings.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through this game and I have to say that this is the worst EG game I've ever played. The graphics quality are only a fraction of what they once were (and EG used to be THE BEST) Those days seem to be over. Beyond that, this game is just weird. The premise is OK but the execution is disjointed and quirky and at times ridiculous. This is one purchase that I regret.

Sable Maze: Soul Catcher Collector's Edition
After 20 years, you're ready to make peace with your brother's disappearance. But the spirit world has other plans for you... Welcome to the other side!
My hat is off to the developers for a great game. Graphics and voiceovers were very well done. I did subtract one star because puzzles could have been more challenging, but I still recommend the game!
I don't like to give extremely negative reviews but I find very little good to say about this game. The game play and the graphics were just very badly done. I only regret that I bought it before trialing it. I could only bear to play about 30 minutes of it before I uninstalled it. I won't be buying another in this series.
Elephant Games is my favorite developer and this is a good series. However, I thought the puzzles were very poorly done and had no challenge. Also, puzzle graphics were just plain BAD. The overall game color scheme was very drab and lacked the "brightness" of prior games in this series. Much of the gameplay scenes seemed much "flatter" and less 3D than earlier installments. EG can do much better than this!
Eipix has great storylines normally and this game was no exception. However, the cut-scenes and overall graphics quality need to be improved. Often they are just downright "cheesy" and terrible in this game. The graphics resolution seriously lags just about every other developer on BFG.
The storyline is Ok in this game. Bad graphics, cut scenes and way-too-easy puzzles kill this game. Sorry to say but this will likely be my last EIPIX purchase. I think they could slow down the development process and put a bit more quality and care into their games.
Many other reviewers have reviewed the overall outline of the game objectives, so I won't rehash them here. I would like to comment on the more "Technical" aspects of the game. I assume this is a small developer, as they don't release a lot of games. That being said, many of the "larger" developers could learn a lot from BN Games. Every game they produce has fantastic graphics with great cut-scenes, excellent VOs, and very nice sound. It seems they care more about the QUALITY of their games, rather than just churning out a new game every 2-3 weeks. My hat is off to them for another well-done game! I only wish more of BFG's developers took the same approach.
Eipix usually has fairly solid story lines and this game is just like all of the other Dark Parables in that regards. Where it fails is the cheaply done intro, menu, and cut scenes. They amount to fuzzy moving cutouts and sketches. BF absolutely needs to find a few more "mature" voices for the female characters. The childish, "valley girl" manner of speaking of the younger actors is ruining almost all of the games these days.
I don't recommend this game.

Haunted Legends: The Secret of Life Collector's Edition
You've traveled the world in search of a cure for your deadly illness, and you've finally found it! But it won't be easy to get – are you up to the task?
This is actually a fun game with much improved graphics over what ERS used to put out. Kudos to the devs and artists! My only beef with this game is the nearly unbearable "valley girl" voiceovers for the female characters. BFG really needs to improve in this area. This was the first game in which I actually had to turn the sound off because of the voices.
