Elephant Games is my favorite BF developer. The graphics in this game are NOT the usual EG quality. The story and game play are "ok". It seems like every new game from every BF developer sees the overall quality take another step downward. I suppose this increases development speed but, personally, I'm tired of spending money for such poor quality games.

Lost Lands: The Four Horsemen Collector's Edition
The Lost Lands are in danger again... There's only one brave soul who can face the four evil horsemen to save it – you!
This is an excellent game and the best I've played in quite awhile. Everything is great, from the graphics to sound, to voiceovers, to storyline. Hats off to the developers.
I made the mistake of buying this game without playing the trial. I could only tolerate about 30 minutes of play before I uninstalled it. ERS is a developer that hasn't improved one iota in the past 5 years. Even the music is pretty much the same. This will be my last purchase of their games.
This game is ok. Nothing spectacular. I would like to comment on something else in this review. I buy most BF games and have been a big fan. It seems that nearly all developers on BFG are now going backwards in terms of graphics quality. Elephant and Eipix are perfect examples. Both had spectacular and continually improving graphics until about a year ago. Now the graphics are looking more cartoonish, especially many of the cut-scenes. I don't know if it's because of a push to develop more games more quickly or what, but I'm not going to keep paying for this low quality. Better games and graphics are to be found elsewhere at comparable prices.
I don't recommend this game.

Grim Tales: Color of Fright Collector's Edition
A shadow from the Gray family's past has returned for revenge. Can you save your family from their worst nightmares?
While I get that everyone has differing preferences, I thought this was a very well-done game. Yes, you have to scroll in the scenes but this makes the game more like high-end and much more expensive adventure games. I thought this was an excellent game on par with other Elephant Games stories. One aside not speaking to this game specifically...I really do wish Elephant would go back to incorporating live action sequences into their games like they did in the past. I thought that gave them a much more realistic and quality feel. Many of the purely CGI cut-scenes used in their newer games have a very unrealistic, mechanical feel.
I recommend this game!

Beyond the Unknown: A Matter of Time Collector's Edition
It’s time to solve the secret of this mysterious island!
Nearly all of the developers on BFG improve with time...Elephant, Eipix, Mad Hat, etc. ERS just seems to be stuck. I wish they would accidentally delete all traces of the music soundtrack that they've used in every game for 4+ years now. While the graphics in this game show early signs of improvement, ERS graphics are mostly stuck in the same cartoon-character quality since they began. They have some great ideas but the music and graphics usually kill them immediately.
I don't recommend this game.

The caliber of game that I wish more developers would aspire
This is a great and well-done game. This games gets much closer to the older more "high-end" adventure games. The graphics are fantastic and most of the voice overs are good too (ok - the lead character voice needs work). However, I highly recommend this game.
I recommend this game!

Grim Facade: A Wealth of Betrayal Collector's Edition
The city fears the return of the infamous Fire Knight – but is Rosa Ramirez really responsible?
I love BFG; however, uut of all the developers on BFG, ERS is the only one who never seeks to improve. The music is only slightly different than the same music they were using 4 years ago. Graphics continue to look like childish drawings and now they've even removed voice-overs. Great job ERS on your continued regression.
I don't recommend this game.

Cadenza: Music, Betrayal and Death Collector's Edition
You've returned from school to visit your father at his famous Jazz Pepper Club during Mardi Gras, but everyone is hypnotized. Have they heard the wrong note?
My hat is off to the developers of this game. With so many new games constantly hitting the market, I'm sure producing something different gets harder and harder with time. The developers, however, succeeded on this one. I love jazz and New Orleans and the music and setting definitely added greatly to this game. Thanks to the devs for a job well-done!
