Absolutely phenomenal game; and, therefore, by far, will be number one on my 'amazing games' list and perfect candidate for game of the year IMHO.
Incredible talent, imagination, ingenuity, creativity, conscientiousness, and original concept went into the creation of this fantastic game.
Check it out... give it more than an introductory chance because the beginning #IMO# was a bit 'iffy/different' and appeared, for one thing, 'choppy', at first.... Keep at it, though.... when it all starts to come together for you, it will gel and will sure to be one of your favs, too.
Top notch narrative [voiceover and written combo] and graphics are gorgeous and original.
WOW! :)
I recommend this game!

At first when I saw this game offered as the TGT, I rolled my eyes and thought ek, 'another' wanna be copy cat, dark game, yuck.... yet giving it a chance, I installed and played the demo. Woah was I surprised.
This is a truly creative and fun to play game with pleasant graphics, great interactive personalization and very witty dialog throughout... along with that, it does not miss a beat on a bit of a creepy side as well.
Check it out; you'll probably be as pleasantly surprised as I was.

The game began quite promising with a great beginning that pulled me in and on, with me wanting to discover more and then..... then, it declined quickly.
Throughout, there was a huge mishmash of mixed graphic scenes, mostly unrealisitic to the point where you couldn't feel a 'part' of the game and ultimately in playing, I eventually felt I had little intrigue toward finding out more about any of the characters and had little ambitious to move on. A cloaked figure trapsing about, here and there vexing you (personally I don't enjoy cloaked figures, so unrealistic) and beautiful corpses of the young women were found here and there and left to 'rot'? where they laid (or sat)... no investigation or closure apparant... just 'me' running around finding weird traps and contrived puzzles with more contrived reasons for same. The game was painfully 'forced' and disjointed. It did not flow and I never felt a real connection or part of the setting in trying to solve the mystery.
I couldn't even finish the game... I lost my desire to figure out what was going on or to save anyone,,, the settings were too bazaar and actions required to obtain items needed for puzzles unrealistic; therefore, I couldn't get 'into' the game much, not like the other games by the same game designer most of which I've enjoyed in the past.
This one is a disjointed, contrived 'mess'.... not fun at all... too bad. Hope it's not a trend for them.
I'd like to see a tighter plot with more involved plotline versus running around finding bits and pieces for unrealistic puzzles, etc.
Better luck time.... wish I hadn't purchased this... the most sinister part of it was taking an immediate departure from the beginning to something not up to par (by then you had my money!) :P

I played this game early on when I first joined up with BFG and remember truly enjoying this game quite a bit despite my initial skepticism.... don't expect anything extremely challenging yet do look forward to a very pleasant and fun 'casual' game.
Please note: I'm bumping it up a bit #one star or so# with my rating because I think it deserves much more than it's been credited overall...

My 'secret' is more of a confession... based on the demo and because I was not initially impressed, I, admittedly, judged this game in a negative way as well as waaay too soon.
After playing a bit further I have changed my mind and have taken a complete 360 in opinion. Originally, having viewed the very beginning opening sequences, it appeared to me yet another, typical, very dark, evilescent game with no appeal to me... yet upon reading further into a couple astute reviewers' input and then giving it a 'real' go, I discovered it's content holds more of a folklore-ish, ie. celtic'ish# magic and charm that is seldom offered in today's typical 'same old' mind set themes. Once the game gets underway, it implodes us further into its appeal with intense graphics, an incredible change of pace to the 'as per usual', and impresses with outstanding creativity, unique characters, well rounded pertinent voice, cutscenes, and sheer imagination, all which are quite compelling. I am now LOVING THIS GAME.
Hope it remains on the same path as it has impacted me thus far; if so, I will be more than thrilled and be inclined to take this dev very seriously, ultimately purchasing more from this them in the future.... yay!! I feel as though I've 'found' a present I didn't know I had & opened it to find the perfect gift.

Most gamers would definitely not be satisfied with this style of of game every day, yet it was a very enjoyable game for a drizzly day of R/R! "Cases of Stolen Beauty" is a delightful and refreshing change of pace for those seeking a respite from cookie-cutter games of the 'norm'.
You play a beauty magazine journalist turned detective seeking out answers to several beauty themed mysteries.*
*If you enjoy the occasional romantic mystery game, you will enjoy this game. Obviously, with that, it's not for everyone.
The H0G-based game's graphics are bold and intense, the music, ambience and sound all have seperate sliders for your personal listening options, and though slider cut scenes are not generally popular, I found them to be quite good in this game as they are fast paced and do not interfere with gameplay, rather enhance it a bit, IMO.
I have no idea why the game is getting such low ratings other than many have only given it 'minutes' to judge, and perhaps compare it with other games which I believe is not fair. This game stands on it's own merits and is definitely worth giving a whirl.
I would have liked a lot more difficulty but other than that as my only complaint, I thoroughly enjoyed this game.
Happy detecting!
>Would like to add, I changed my screen resolution to 1024 x 768 and it was beautiful on my 22" monitor. It only takes 2 seconds to change your resolution and your system is designed to accomodate changes, so do not fear it will bother the integrity of your system. [To do so: right click on your desktop, go to 'screen resolution', click on 'resolution' and slide the button to either the setting I show above, or find one that is comfortable for your system/preference ~ works like a charm/ to undo, go back and reset to 'normal' res... that simple! :) ]

This game is definitely 'different', definitly short, and the graphics for finding items were minute in areas, yet I REALLY LIKED THIS GAME A LOT!!! There was an intensity to the color and detail in the atmosphere both in graphics and sound that mixed mysterious eeriness and quirky humor that screamed, WHAT COMES NEXT!?
It was a truly unique game and therefor held my attention to the very end... albeit a short end, yet I can accept that since more often than not many 5 star games never get finished and sit in my virtual game shelf despite the rave reviews. So, for the first time in a while, I truly enjoyed a game every step of the way and WANTED TO FINISH IT as it had such imaginative gameplay and a unique style to it.
Definitely give this a whirl.... don't play it with the thought of comparing it to other games, just play it for the sake of playing it and be swept away in a little challenge and a lot of mystique and magic.... you may be as glad you bought it as I am.
Thumbs up and I HOPE this developer goes on to do more like it...

Well, at the very least, this game certainly will give you a new appreciation for food cart vendors and, oy vey, the variety of 'customers' you'll be faced with!
This is a fun and funny TM where you play 1st person view as the vender of a food cart in different locals within the guise of a TV show contestant.
The game starts out easy enough as most TMs and I found it got a little too challenging for total enjoyment as I leveled up. One snafu's is that with the increased challenges, there is not an equal increase in opportunity to better equip yourself to keep up to speed.
A couple times as I had been playing for quite a while and got tired, I began messing up orders and I won't admit to some of the words that were coming out of my mouth 'cause they weren't HOT DIGGITY DOG!! :}
Seriously though, it's a silly and enjoyable 'must try' if you enjoy TM....

Moooo -ve over!
Not comparing it with 'other' games and based on my own experience playing (knowing that I will play in between my favorite genre, adventure), I'm giving this adorable game 5, big fat stars.
The atmosphere alone is well worth the price tag... and the overall story where you have 2 years to complete building up your inheritance (a farm) before giving up and returning to the city is a fun escape of the imagination for most.
Who hasn't envisioned working a farm versus pushing paper 9 to 5. Well, here's your chance to do that in a fun, cartoony character mode with the sweet songs of birds filling the air and butterflies flitting about as you go about your chores and tasks.
Anyhoo, I bought and hope you'll at least give this one a try keeping in mind that it may stand on it's own and is well worth the price tag for the unique and endearing reprieve, escape, relaxation, as well as challenge it gives in return.
