Too much expected with not enough speed boost!
I have loved all the Dash games series, every single one I play over and over... yet this one I don't like the way the set up is... for some reason it cramps up my hand.
I almost always get expert levels in the other Dash games (with trial and error on some levels of course# but this one toward the end is a challenge to make goal and is not fun at all because everyone is mad all the time with short fuses. Mind you, even though I have all upgrades, know the character's temperments, seat them appropriately, use the drink station and the radio, the characters quickly become fuming, mad, obnoxious jerks. If I want aggravation and annoyance, plus attitude from people, I'll play in the 'real' world, lol. With a game I like to have fun.
Again, all the other editions of this game I've enjoyed SO much and even with this one I loved the settings #to me a big part of the fun is upgrading and designing the settings#, yet with this particular version, the set up mad me feel that everything was in miniature and stuck too close together... as well as much too much expected of the player in terms of cooking and serving and cleaning up.
In the other editions, you could get extra speed boosts and flip the dishes as well as the radio actually worked. In this episode, the radio doesn't work well at all, you have to s- l -o w -l- y bring the dishes to the sink #even after the speed upgrade# and you don't have time for serving that extra shot of coffee before everyone is fuming mad and not pleasant!
Beyond frustrating toward the end. Games should be fun and challenging but not frustrating and too challenging that it becomes 'work', lol.
All in all, again, I LOVE the Dash games, just not this one... ack!

The puzzles are quite unique and the presentation can't be beat.
I almost didn't download the trial as it appeared to be just another dark game, yet I am so glad I tried it. The variety of gameplay is so appealing and interesting... the story is unique, and, wow, I am just SO happy I checked this one out; I ended up purchasing it and can't wait to continue on.

"Spirits of Mystery" (as the beginning announces) hmmmm please, kindly, tell me why so many people enjoy these dark dreary games, yet, on second thought, don't tell me### I will just hope they will see the light one day#
Too bad so much talent is wasted on these dread, dismal, dreary based games, there could easily be less of this and still be extremely appealing and have the good versus evil effect, etc The first scene in the "good" versus evil???= an eyeball that moves around in a glass in the supposed 'good' house?????.... just ONE example of many... PLEASE!!!!
Were the graphics superb? YES, the devs talented? YES.... Good game in my opinion? NO!!! What a waste.
Truly, the world is getting bad enough ... get more games into the light, goodness and beauty of life.... fine if you want to base it on good versus evil, but cut the overkill in the direction of darkness... that, IMO.
No more of MY $ wasted on trash themes and I've spent PLENTY of $. Too bad, I'll voice my opinion with the almighty dollar, too.

My title sums up the game ... it is a photo story sliding HOG and can be played without much thought or much attention given to gameplay at all. Would be a good DD game or buy one get one free game for those times when you need a totally mindless diversion.
The settings were pretty and the mini-games are rather different... and fun (yet very simple).
The Princess Case can't be compared to our usual fare here on BFG as it won't stand up to scrutiny against any sort of competition, yet on it's own, it is a nice, easy, enjoyable game for times when you don't want to do any real thinking. Would also be the perfect game to gift or play with a young or very old person.

Unquestionably, "House of a Thousand Doors" had gorgeous artwork. For me, it stopped there.
It was the dryest, most unchallenging and boring game I have played in a long time. Obviously my opinion runs against the majority of players, yet for whatever reason, it just didn't appeal to me... the more I played the more unsettled I became. Ultimately I realized it was just dreadful and put me in an 'off' mood, and ultimately was a waste of money and time to the point where I didn't even finish it.
It had an underlying dismal, depressing and unappealing context to the plotline that made it a chore rather than a game.
The artists are talented, just wish it had panned out to be a more positive experience.

The graphics, storyline, music, sound and especially the price were all excellent!!!
A very well done game with appropriately appointed period theme and enjoyable sound affects and music.
Quite a LOT to offer for a $6.99 price tag; am surprised this isn't getting better ratings, it is a truly enjoyable game worthy of positive critiques and higher scores, in my opinion.... and I've played MANY games (love adventure) and for MANY years... you can't go wrong with this one.

Finally a CE worth the price tag... playing 'SHIVER POLTERGEIST' ~ the gaming experience we've been waiting to happen for so long with suffering through many 'wanna be's.
Thrilling and captivating performance from graphics to sound, acting, everything... you won't be sorry and it won't sit on your virtual game shelf unfinished... it's meant to be played and enjoyed!!!

Based on demo only:
This game has some interesting and pretty features to the graphics in some respects, in other ways it is just too busy and cluttered on the eye. Sort of like looking at stained glass instead of a picture... too many lines and way too much 'stuff' going on#
The mini games within the main game were somewhat unique yet despite initially looking complex and interesting, they were very simple and offered too much in the way of instructions#
The main character's voice, well, she sounded so empty- headed the inflections in her voice over were SO poor and all way off to what she was supposed to be saying= doh! I certainly wouldn't want my city to be depending on her or any of the characters in a similar situation... they were also referencing science without any real scientific substance offered to pan out believability; therefore, I couldn't really get immersed into the game at all.
Otherwise, it is a a pretty good game for the price tag only. Oh, another thing, why the supernatural angle throughout when it could have been kept science fictiony.... way over done theme these days and it just diluted the potential plotline of the game.
Anyway,# again.#.. for the price, it would be a good bet as a last resort for a boring weekend I suppose, it could have been better and there have been a lot worse.

A most enjoyable game; simple graphics yet superb playability to the point of being highly addictive, :}
I had a problem with games saving after shutdown; but after contacting tech support, I believe it was my system and not the game. Even with the problem, I highly enjoyed playing it and recommend it unconditionally.
