I was excited for this when it was first announced, it was such an amazing idea - pity it was so badly executed... The animation was amateur and uncanny and they clearly didn't know how to end it... and the story itself was predictable and short. And why can't we just have an MCF game that isn't simply there to set up the next one??
Ok to fill in some time, but it did not enhance or advance the story at all... go back and play an old one.

Plenty in this one, the length seemed pretty good (although I did it in chunks, not all at once, so don't depend on my judgement...). The level of challenge was good - I had to consult the guide a few times (I always turn hint off), and although the story is a very familiar (over used?) one, this was an interesting twist on it, so it wasn't boring.
I have nothing special to say, except to beware of paying for the CE to get extra features - I mainly like CE because I can replay the mini games, but NOT ALL THE GAMES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE EXTRAS! And the 'reward' for getting all the collectables isn't much either. But if that doesn't bother you, it's pretty good.

Omg yawn! This is literally ALL hop, and the occasional puzzle (including the same puzzle about a hundred times!) - you don't get to move from scene to scene, it's basically just a map and you go from HOP to HOP with an attempt at a storyline in between... Why oh why did I still buy this after the trial??? Probably because I thought it surely couldn't be this bad all the way through, but it is! Well, I say 'all the way through' - I haven't actually completed it yet, I'm so mind-numbingly BORED!! The story idea has a lot of potential, but is sadly wasted. Thank goodness it was the weekly special and I only wasted a few dollars on it - maybe my 9yo might play it.
Only buy this if you like the really old style games that are all hops...

When a young man is apparently abducted by spirits at an abandoned movie theater, you rush to investigate. You arrive to find truth to the tales as you encounter specters from the very movies shown in the theater! Can you navigate dangerous films to save the living in time?

When I fall asleep at my desk every time I try and play this, that tells you pretty much everything there is to say... I have no idea what I am doing or why I'm going to these places - what am I supposed to be looking for, again??? Yawn...

Sorry, what was I meant to be doing?? This story is so convoluted and messed up, I kept forgetting. One minute I was trying to get into a garden to find the culprit, the next (badly cut) scene she and I are suddenly tied up in a burning house and I'm helping her like we're best friends? Then for some reason I'm at the snow. Then the ocean...? It's like they're just trying to throw in as many fairytale characters as they can, even if there's no logical reason for them being there. (perhaps they know that this is so bad there won't be another?) It makes absolutely no sense, and when they do occasionally mention the person I am supposed to be working to save I have to think, hang on, who is that again??
Now that I reread the description here it doesn't even sound like the same game.
There is way too many mini-games and hardly any HOP too, which is very annoying.
The only thing going for this is that it is long... or does it just feel long?

Wow, this game is short!! And BORING!! I finished it and the bonus chapter in one go (lockdown boredom) and I'm still waiting for something to actually happen... You would think that the last one in the series would be all of the best bits put together, but I guess they figured they had a captive audience, and nothing to lose, so didn't bother putting any effort in at all. Most of it simply didn't make any sense. Even the HOP and minigames were absolutely no challenge. And the graphics seem to have been a throwback to about ten games ago. Glad I didn't pay full price for this - I feel ripped off only having spent a coupon on it!

Why do I need to find all these amulets and fix broken items over and over again if I can do magic??? I think I only used the wand twice in this entire game... I really enjoyed the first couple of the Fairy Godmother games, but this could have been anything, the magic side was irrelevant. There was plenty to do and it went long enough, as far as that goes, but if you're in it for the magic storyline, I think you will be disappointed.
And just about all the tasks in the bonus game were exactly the same as all the tasks that I had just done in the last chapter of the main game!! So boring. C'mon - if you're charging extra for a bonus chapter, it needs to be extra!

Yawn... I'm sorry, but this is one of the most boring games I've ever come across! I struggled all the way to the end, but had to do it in short sittings to stop myself literally falling asleep at the computer. I abandoned it part way into the bonus chapter - it was even more pointless than the main game, and I had simply no interest in what the character was doing! The trial started out pretty good, but as soon as I got past that it just seemed pointless. And I'm sick of finding a shape to open a cavity only to find in it a shape to open another cavity. Boring.
I have played a few in this series and found them ok - the change in POV can be interesting - so this is extra disappointing.

Wow this was short! I kept waiting for something to happen, something to go wrong - in fact, any type of challenge at all!! And it was very simple. The story had so much potential, but went nowhere. Glad I bought this as the weekly deal and only spent a few dollars on it - very disappointed.
