This is the worst game I've ever played! The story line is weird, graphics are ify, hint is useless, atmosphere too dark, mini games were either too simple or simply didn't make sense, the map is totally weird and completely useless. I stuck it out for an hour or so, (after all, I did pay for it so wanted to give it a chance - gave it as much as I could possibly stand!) and only came across one HOS! So glad I got it as the game of the week and didn't pay full price!!
I don't recommend this game.

I love Mystery Trackers, and I guess this was an early one, because a lot frustrated me that doesn't in some others... for example, the 'hint' button should really be the 'spoilers' button - when I need a hint all I need is "go to the...", not "go to the... pick this up, do this, open this, then do this..." - so I need a hint, let me figure some of it out myself!!
Also, there is way too much back and forth from one end of town to the other... if you're going to do that, at least provide a map that you can use to jump to locations instead of having to click ten times to get to the next step - very frustrating, got boring towards the end, sadly.
But this was definitely a good game in the genre, especially for an early work - the Mystery Trackers get better and better, and I'm really looking forward to trying the brand new ones. If you're a fan, definitely try this one out...
I recommend this game!

I found this one rather boring, I'm sorry to say... found myself wishing it would hurry up and finish more than once.
Having said that, the hidden object stuff was different to anything else I've done, so that is a big plus. And it's very long, so you get your money's worth.
I thought the graphics were a bit sad, - but I don't know when it was made, maybe they were state of the art then..? Compared to some of the other games I've played it looks positively 80's!
That leading man looks rather familiar...

There is plenty to do here, and the story line is very promising, although a little too obvious - I worked out in the first ten minutes who the villain was AND the 'surprise reveal' - can't believe the 'detective' was so thick! But that's not the point. Direction was not always clear, so I used the guide a lot to find out where to go next, but the map was helpful at times, too. I really like games with a map that remind you where you need to go in those 'I remember seeing that somewhere and now I've got the missing piece where was it again' moments.
I liked the fact that these weren't 'find a random object' scenes, but pieces of the one item you needed - good for a change.
The mini games are rather repetitive, although the challenge increased each time.
The 'bonus game play' was the big disappointment - it started out promising, but... well, no spoilers here.
For the record, this review is based on full game play and bonus, not just demo, as complained about by some reviewers...
I recommend this game!

This looked really promising, I totally loved the other 'Hidden Mysteries' game I've done, but I spent this whole game waiting for something to actually happen!! The 'vampire' bit is rather misleading - maybe if it wasn't in the title and came as a surprise it might have been ok. Even the puzzles were all so easy... Really disappointed.
This would probably be really good for a beginner, with all the easy puzzles.
I don't recommend this game.

I rather enjoyed the game itself, the locations were very different, the challenges just right and the story interesting - especially as one of a series - but I got rather tired of being abused by the game if I made a mistake!!! Instead of saying "sorry that won't work" like other games it was more like "what, are you stupid?!?" Not very nice, and rather disheartening....
Otherwise, excellent game...
I recommend this game!

The story has such promise, but the game got so boring just going in and out of the same rooms looking for the same things... I kept going because I wanted to hear more of the story, but then it just ended abruptly with no real conclusion (the story, I mean, not the game - I don't want to ruin with any spoilers...) - ok for a beginner, or someone who doesn't want to have to think, but for anyone who has done the other type of game where you need inventory items, such as Dire Grove or Fate's Carnival, this is a total bust.... sorry.
I don't recommend this game.

Wow, this is the longest game I've ever seen! It took me ages, and I'm getting pretty good at these. A few times I thought I must have been at the end, and then it ramped up again - definitely got my money's worth!! Heaps of running around, but it was easy to use the map to jump to locations and see what you had available to do (that is a fantastic feature!). Hardly any HOS, though, which was disappointing, but heaps of other challenges. My advice - USE THE MAP!!!! And don't let the kids watch over your shoulder... ;-)
I recommend this game!

Great game, challenging at just the right level, lots of hos - was rather offended by the religious 'declaration' at the end - I don't think a video game is the place for a dig like that. Sadly, it soured what was a rather enjoyable game...
I recommend this game!
