I did not like this game at all. There are 3 different modes to play and an interactive map that you can disable. Thank goodness I did not because all of the back and forth I would have had to do would have driven me crazy. The hint button is helpful and I had to use it a lot! There are 30 posters to collect in the game also. The graphics and music were just okay. There were way too many HOG's. All of them were cluttered and visually hard to find objects. Of course this game included my pet peeve...real people acting the roles...or should I say OVER acting the roles. It is soooo annoying to have to sit through all that over- gesturing and badly spoken lines! I would rather have poorly animated actors. Most of the mini puzzles had poor instructions so I could not figure out what to do or even how to do it, When the instructions were clear it was impossibly hard, so thank goodness for the skip button. The storyline was crazy. I don't like characters that are evil just to be evil, no clear objective, just be evil. Also had craziness in it like not only is the character just carrying around his own blood sample, he's carrying around someone else's blood sample...really??!! That is just one example of the absurdity. So, no I do not recommend this game. Please play the demo first as I should have done.
I don't recommend this game.

Excellent on all counts; the story, the graphics, the music, everything. It is wonderfully spooky and at some points found myself jumping out of fright. There are 3 modes of play. There are 7 chapters and a bonus chapter. The map is great it shows you where you have things to do and will allow you to jump there. The hint button is perfect, it does not give you exact instructions what to do next. There are 30 butterflies to collect and 30 illusive objects to find...hint: the butterflies are tiny while the objects are large. If you played Maple Creek you are in for a big surprise toward the end. I highly recommend that you play Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek first so you can go with the flow of the story. This was a whole bunch of fun and I was sorry it ended. In fact I am ready for the next installment hinted at in the ending!
I recommend this game!

Where was I when this came out??!! This was sooo much fun. The graphics and music were great. The storyline was superb. 110 Beholder objects to find...little eyeballs that have spider and snake bodies. No hidden object scenes just puzzles and mini games that were challenging. There were 11 or 12 chapters...I lost count. The best part is you NEVER have to wonder what to do with an item, everyone of them had a LOGICAL place to be used...unlike some games where you scratch your head and wonder what were the Devs thinking. Please send us more like this!
I recommend this game!

I really wanted to like this game but I could not. There are four levels of difficulty with a custom one you could design the game as you wanted. The music and graphics were good, kin of cartoonish but hey this is a fairy tale. I like fairy tales and light-hearted fun as well as the dark spooky ones, but this game was too light-hearted. You have a fairy helper that is no help until you find the for her to do a chore...every time. Then you have an elf that is your hint button; he shoots an arrow at whatever you need a hint for. The thing is you can't follow the arrow so the hint button is useless except in HOS. The map is supposed to transport you to where ever you want to go and it does, but it is also supposed to show you where you still have tasks in an area and many, many times it would show that area as complete. So unless you have a photographic memory, and I don't, you have to use the strategy guide for help. The strategy guide was my best friend on this game, because you have no idea where to place A LOT of the items in your inventory. Some were utter nonsense. I had a rock with a crystal in it and as usual I could not figure out how to get the crystal out. Strategy guide tells me to give the rock to a bird. So I did and the bird breaks the rock to pieces and I get the crystal. Really!!?? Who would think to give the rock to the bird? So it went throughout the game, the logic was crazy and nonexistant. You'd better be good at placement of objects because it was crazy at times to place it. I had to check the guide a couple of times to make sure I was doing the right thing because the placement was so hard...be exact! Finally the HOS were okay except the item lists were almost unreadable because they were so fuzzy. When I was finished with this game I was so relieved, I didn't even do the bonus content. I really can't recommend this game.
I don't recommend this game.

I really liked this game. Nice and creepy. The graphics were good, the music was good and not irritating, the voice overs were great and not overdone. There is a journal to keep you on track and a good map. The hint button is very helpful..maybe a little too helpful. The puzzles were fun with a good amount of challenge...but not crazy hard. Oh and it had collectables, I love finding collectables. The HOS were a little fuzzy for me but I still did them just fine. There were 10 chapters and a bonus level so there is plenty of game to play. I really recommend this game.

What fun I had playing this game. The graphics were good and the music was fun and enjoyable; it made me want to get up and dance a jig. The storyline was wonderful, but the funny thing is that it could almost be a prequel to Mercy at the Gallows..another good game. They offered 3 levels of play and I chose casual as I always do. The game play is very logical, there is no confusion what to do, or where to go next. There is almost no back and forth and running around lost. You get a journal to keep track of things in and a wonderful map. The hint button is very helpful. The HOS could be traded for a match 3 game but I had so much fun in the HOS I never did. There is a silhouette HOS inside of each HOS, that was fun! The puzzles were easy and fun; I didn't skip one of them. Okay what that means is for a lot of you is that there will not be enough challenge in this game. It was easy but I really liked it and really recommend this one.
I recommend this game!

I can't decide if I liked this game or not. I liked the story, the music, and the graphics. The map was okay and the hint button was helpful. I love the evil elf and am grateful that every time you saw him he didn't give you a big mess to deal with, like the previous games. The HOS needed a little help. The ones that they gave you a list on were okay until you got to the part of doing an extra step and then sometimes the parts seemed unrelated so it was difficult to know what to do. The HOS that you had to find and use that object were ridiculous for the most part. There were times that you could not figure out what to do with that particular item at all. So used the hint button which fills up very slowly. Some of the mini games were easy and some were very tough...skipped those. So I had fun yes, but the HOS were kind of a bummer.

I was so excited to see another Awakening game. I was a little put off about the mixed reviews but after thinking a while I went ahead and bought it. BIG mistake! I really hated this game. The graphics and sounds were wonderful but everything else was terrible. The mini games were so convoluted that I skipped almost every one of them, it was ridiculous. The HOS were the kind that you had to complete a task to find some of the items. Sometimes you had to do things that were not even related leaving you to scratch your head and wonder why. Then when I received some items their use was so vague that I was mystified on what to do with it. Oh and the little owl...what a joke. When you needed a hint from him he either told you exactly what to do or he would just highlight an area and I would still have to look at the strategy guide. It was miserable but I was determined to finish until.....I got to one scene that I had to make a potion. I sat the knife on the cutting board before I put the mushrooms down and it cut one anyway. Then it would not let me put the mushrooms down. I finished the recipe thinking that the mushrooms were to be used later. When I tried to put the potion in the stew it would not let me. I looked at the guide and sure enough all of the mushrooms had to be cut up and put in but now I could not get back to the cutting board since I had already made the potion. GLITCH. I would not recommend this game to anyone!!
I don't recommend this game.

This game was really really different. I can't decide if that's bad or good. Very cartoonish graphics which ar ok with me, music was a little annoying. The voice overs were annoying and poorly acted. It was hard to navigate at times and the game played slowly. At times it was very confusing on what to do. I had to use the hint button a lot and sometimes the guide And the hint button together. Then as I was playing the bonus round I could not set the watch down on the table like the guide and the hint button told me to do. Absolutely no where on the table to start the mini game. So I just quit. This one was just not my cup of tea.
I don't recommend this game.

What a bunch of fun! The storyline was great, the graphics were good and the music was nice. HOS scenes were fun and some were different...good different. The mini puzzles were unique and challenging, but fun because, for the most part, they were different. Developer Orneo, a home run, you hit this one outta the park! By the way it's June
