This one had all the makings of a really great game. The storyline seemed good, (your child disappears) the atmospheres are gorgeous with lots of color and detail, it had achievements to achieve and a side search for sixty flowers. So it was a good game. But I found that the storyline went off the rails a bit for me. Putting children's souls into dolls that are then alive? Okay. Also there was a point in the game where the army is about to come after you and Kiara, your alli, knocks something down to stall them and then tells you to finish your quest fast as there is little time. This definately added an element of drama however you then do at least five HO scenes as well as many other tasks so the intensity is somewhat lost. i thought they might have put this closer to the end. When the good and evil characters meet the evil one begins to rant and unfortunately his lips do not move in conjunction with his words. hmmm. So a few issues with this one for me. But overall it had some fun puzzles, a cool elevator and lots of inventory objects. Good length and really well exacuted but it misses out on five stars from me even though it is Elephant games... one of my faves for developers.
I recommend this game!

I bought this one with no idea what to expect. It can get quite addictive. You get realy into the quest here. And it gets more and more difficult as you get better. Really fun with lots of abilities to buy with the gold coins that you earn and then use in your quest. I've never seen another game like it and it's too bad because this one is really fun.
I recommend this game!

This was a pretty good little game. Kinda hokey I thought. If you like romance novels, you will like this game. i found the shadow locks who speak in unison with little squeaky voices a bit much. But it did have a puzzle using cards that was repeated throughout that was fun. Most of the locations were softly drawn with lots of gardens and some fairy like atmospheres. Pleasant enough... fun in parts and quite romantic in the storyline. Nice little game..not overly long.. nothing creepy but enjoyable in a relaxing kind of way. I liked it.

another great offering from midnight mysteries. The mystery this time is solving how Houdini died. I love the search for ravens and clovers. I did have over thirty hints at one point so there is a lot of help. Especially since the game comes with an SG. A few good jumps in the chair, some fun carnival games and a good storyline make this a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours. I liked the other two and I really lked this one too.

This one was very interesting. Great VO's .. best I've heard I think. The story was a bit cheesy (the muhaha crazy doctor) but still really enjoyable. You land on an island to search an old delapitated asylum for your grandfather. The use of color and elaborate detail was wonderful. Lots and lots of inventory objects to figure out, a ton of HO scenes, several creative characters along the way and great music make this game a ton of fun. I enjoyed this one and wanted to at the doctor right to the end. And it took a while.. this one has a lot of game. Will play the sequel in a heartbeat.
I recommend this game!

I just couldn't get into this game. You really are on your own in an atmosphere that has very little color, no real interaction and no intensity. You enter a town where there seems to be no one. So you wander around finding inventory objects. You really need to like to do things independant of any drama or contact with people. The game is mostly shades of brown with the occasional bits of color in a tree for example. When you did finally find a person.. one of the missing children, the VO's were terrible. I found that after forcing myself to try to focus, I just couldn't keep my interest in this one and didn't finish. It did have a couple of good puzzles but the lack of intensity, story line, color and drama left me wanting to play something with more charisma and fun factor.
I don't recommend this game.

Another great one. This one is really charming and it's graphics and storyline just outstanding. I loved the soundtrack, the SG and the gorgeous gardens. Wow This game has it all. Loaded with puzzles. There's a small eye icon by the hint button that gives directions for them. There are also achievements to achieve.. always a bonus to make the gameplay more fun and a side search for sixty fairies. You may think a game with fairies might be overly kiddie but not this one. It's all grown up and really well done. Really good length with an extra chapter, sound track, wallpapers etc. My only critique is that i didn't find the puzzles in the extra chapter to be as comprehensive as the ones in the main game but that might be me getting tired. This really is an incredibly gg in every respect. Loved it loved it. I would highly recommend this one.

I find it disappointing that sooo many people seem to think that the demo equals the game and then write a review based on this alone. I cannot even consider reviews based on a demo and this game is a good example of why. This one is long..really long with an amazing array of puzzles and tricky inventory objects. You enter a castle, of course, looking for your sister and brother in law. It seems there is a curse involving werewolves. Several times throughout the game you enter a picture/memory and begin a whole new search in a whole new area. This happens at least three or four times in this one. I found it to really test your memory as you sometimes have a huge list of things you need. It also has stairways appearing where you least expect them. I think that Elephant games are quickly becoming one of my faves for developers with strong, well made offerings like this one. Very well done. Very entertaining. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice job.
I recommend this game!

This is a really great one. Creepy and kinda scary without being overly gross or offensive. And all of the victims are not female.. many are male as well !! how refreshing. This guy is a twisted nut bar creating "art" with dead people. He took offense to an article you wrote,, you are a crime writer.. and he has taken your girlfriend in retaliation. The games begin. You search a run down property that takes you through a perfect balance of puzzles, tunnels and HO scenes. He has rigged cameras and speakers throughout and taunts you as you make your way closer and closer. I liked the little things like his hmmm's when faced with a tough puzzle, the comments he makes in the journal and just the whole suspence feel of this game. Great music, good map.. you need it.. it's huge.. and a very straightforward SG make this a really gg. I did skip two puzzles as I just couldn't grasp what it wanted me to do but only two of many. If you like creepy suspense and /or some really good puzzles don't miss this one.
I recommend this game!

This one was different. The storyline had some huge gaps. A thirty year old murder where you can find the murder weapon and lift prints? A husband falsely convicted and executed who returns in ghostly form still in the electric chair? A deputy who was fired but then is always in the police station and a another who is duped by a doll. A house that appears and grabs people with vines? Where did it get the vines? it's a house not a tree. hmmm. However having said all of that... I kinda liked this one. It's a bit heavy to HO scenes and has the feel of an older style game. But the locations are well drawn and there are a lot of them. A supermarket, a police station, a decrepite amusement park and of course the vine house just to name a few. You go out in boats and down into sewers. The mystery keeps your interest and there are several to try and figure out. Missing people, a thirty year old murder, a much more recent murder and the house of vines. If you don't insist on a game where every detail makes perfect sense, this is one is interesting and kind of fun. 3.5 stars from me.
I recommend this game!
