I really enjoy these games. They are light, bright and colorful with settings that remind one of a Thomas Kinkade painting. They have good plots that deal with dark subjects like murder without being gory or dark themselves. This one.. like the others.. has a great variety of puzzles and a good plot. It's a nice relaxing, enjoyable break from the dark creepy ones. I love all the puzzles and the beautiful artwork. Well worth the time and money investment. A great way to spend a couple of afternoons.

Wow another great one!! There have been several right in a row. The Knights of Templar, 9 the dark side, House of one thousand doors and now this one. Great game. The locations are amazingly drawn with lots of color and many many extras thrown in. Just when you think you have found an item, it breaks into peices that u then must find. The mansion, of course, has many rooms that each become areas to explore and contain many puzzles to figure out. I play in expert and it's perfect. The length is great and the hint system works well. I like the search for coins to get more hints. The SG is easy to follow if you need it. Throughout the game there are areas that are locked and can only be opened with special CE keys which you find along the way. I can play games like this one all day long... oh and I do lol This one is a great buy
Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story-if you escape.
the sparkle is gone. the fun factor disappeared. I love MCF games and own them all. Even the Wii ones. But this one was dark, depressing and downright disgusting. You are led through screaming pregnant women, a morgue, and two run down hospitals. You do the "pschologically thrilling"..not.. task of popping zits. OMG. and get an inside look at child abuse. fun fun fun. All to flip a switch at the end. The ending was ridiculous and after the chore it took to get there, was not at all fullfilling. This one was beautifully drawn and you could see that it held some good ideas but the content made it hard to appreciate this. It started out great but quickly deteriorated. I absolutely agreed with the statement at the end when Emma says "hopefully this is the end." Yes if we must R2R could we do it without the overly grim content? Keeping in mind that we play games for fun? Love the MCF games but didn't love this one.
This one was very well put together. It had a familiar theme.. help the ghosts so they can be at peace but u did it all within the portal of the house. Each door was a new room with a new storyline and a new ghost. One was a train, another a witch's cottage, another a burnt down home. While the subject matter was not new, this game was light enough to be fun and entertaning. Each area was very well drawn, lots of color with interesting puzzles and inventory items. Quite a few HO scenes also. The hint system was great. There was also a search for 35 morphing objects. 4.5 from me. really enjoyed this one.

Loved it loved it loved it !! You must re-assemble the nine priests in order to close the portal to the dark side. Awesome artwork and graphics. Long and detailed. great storyline, lots and lots of puzzles that vary in difficulty. I played in advanced and found the challenge level just right. The strategy guide is there if you need it.. and you may need it a couple of times. Really enjoyed the variety of puzzles and the huge assortment of inventory objects. Liked that the music changed with the locations. There is the addition of achivements to achieve which always makes the gameplay more interesting. Very detailed, enjoyable game. It had several extras including an artifact that you actually used. I will say that the voice acting could have used a bit more emotion and the ending could have included a bit more celebration when you completed your quest but those would be minor points in an otherwise superbly well done game. Haven't played the extra yet but I am sure it will be comperable to the main game. These are the kind of game I am always looking for. Great job.
This one was different. I liked the animation and the music. The storyline was quite basic but they added some twists so you went everywhere from pirate ships to pharoh's tombs to it won't let me use the word... somewhere very very hot underground that you access through a pentagram. Was definately different. No real HO's. More finding objects then using them. adventure style. Lots of interesting mini games. The hint system was pretty good if you needed it also. I used a free code that I had earned so for me it was an enjoyable, although a bit short even played in advanced, of a game that gave 4 to 5 hours of fun.
This game had a good basic idea, where you play as three different people and have to meet to exchange inventory items. I played the sequel first which may have spoiled me a bit as they corrected a lot of the flaws in this one. First that most of the HO scenes are dark and the items on the small side. The ending was quite easy also, you just need to follow the color codes. But all in all this game was pretty good. lots of locations, a good map and a decent diary that you really did need to read. I found there to be a bit too much reading but I liked the amount and variety of puzzles and it had a storyline to it. If you can pick it up on sale it's a decent way to pass some time.
This was quite a good game. There was a lot to do with quite a few puzzles and inventory objects to figure out. The game is bright and colorful with well done special effects and some really good graphics. It had three options casual, advanced and expert. I chose expert and regretted it a couple of times as there were no hints whatsoever. lol But I figured it out. Nice that they give you that many options. Pretty good storyline with some interesting characters. The game is fairly long so a good buy. The music was fine although I do usually keep it in the background. It was not overly repetative or annoying. I liked that the game offered a good variety of locations including an outdoor fair, a library type maze and and underwater hideout that you access with scuba gear. Even in expert the mini games were fairly easy but still fun to do. Very entertaining, well done bright fun game. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Good solid game as usual from ERS. They have quite a distinct way of drawing. I enjoyed the merchant of venice and buying things I needed. The scenes were beautifully drawn with movement in most and the game play fun although somewhat predictable. Unlike others I had no need of a map whatsoever. The areas ended their usefulness and then there was no need to return to them. The voice acting was pretty sad. lol Really especially near the end. And I didn't think much of the ending. You are chasing one ..oh and then there's another.. they have threatened to kill you but then are taken out by a bucket of water? ok. Is he melting? Anyway.. several hours of good solid gameplay, well done merchant, well hidden items, beautiful locations and some interesting puzzles save this one. It does look as though a lot of work went in and I appreciate that. Nice job. Good idea but a bit loose in the storyline.
