The title seems ominous but there's not scare factor in this game (thank goodness), it was instead very enjoyable and pleasant to play. The graphics were crisp and clear, although the animations weren't top notch. Another thing that bugged me, some HO graphics such as the jar of honey, scales, belt, were repeated over and over, sometimes in different worlds. But other than that, the HO scenes were good, no junk piles. Sometimes it was even hard to tell the HO scenes from regular scenes.
The music and puzzles were relaxing, there are a lot of objects to find and use without making the game frustrating. The puzzles were some of my favorite types; put torn pictures back together, untangle the lines so none overlap, find the difference, etc.
The map will show you the locations, and how many tasks are left to do at each one. This was the only way to get from place to place.
The game had a good length, although I do wish I could visit all the paintings on the wall!
I'm always looking for an escape from the usual horror story games but this one was just too childish. Everything appeared to be straight out of a children's book, even the graphics.
I thought the storyline was ok, take Beauty and the Beast and add some more to it. I was a fan of the game play up until the end with the spiders.
The map was very helpful and pointed to the next objective. I liked the music and the voiceovers but if you sat in one place for too long she kindly told you to move it along.
There's some hidden humor throughout the game, we got a kick out of Pinocchio.
The puzzles weren't hard but they were unique and fun, perfect for a hard day when you need to unwind!
I played on advanced mode, it wasn't too difficult to figure out and only had to use the hint/skips a couple of times.
I loved the "softcore" music in the background, some complained but I'd prefer that to the usual boring ghostly tunes.
I played the sequel to this first, and the light/dark changes are done better in this game and follow a logical sequence. I was reluctant to buy simply because the light/dark changes in the sequel are an unnecessary nuisance.
The HO scenes are lovely, no junk piles. Some are interactive, do this first to get that. I liked the "find where this goes" HO scenes. My only complaint, items were replaced, which gets more and more annoying with each game I play.
Simple and fun game, not at all difficult, I never "lost" a client or failed to complete a level. This was certainly not up to par with Roads of Rome but it was fun to play and the music and spa atmosphere were very relaxing.
This was my first time playing this type of time management game and I loved it! The graphics were great, the level of difficulty was perfect. It was not so hard that you'll get frustrated, but tough enough that it took a couple of tries and some strategy to get expert in each level.
I played it all weekend and hope to get the next two in the series one day.
This might be the first game ever made of its kind. I'm being facetious of course, but it's old. Terrible graphics, illogical game play, since when do you fetch coffee for hotel guests? I couldn't play for long.
As other reviewers have said, this is a short game. I made sure to use my free credits but still, a short game. Also it could have benefitted from a journal and a hint system outside of hidden object scenes.
But on to the good, this is a well made, funny game with unique puzzles, beautiful graphics (very realistic!) and impressive HO scenes. Much thought was put into every detail. I loved playing and hope for more like it.
These types are all the same, and this one is no exception. The music was nice, the graphics were so-so. The HO scenes were junk piles to the nth power.
All these need are a fun and exciting story line, or witty banter, or some humor, and I'd happily put up with the HOs. Sigh...
The picture-taking was a nice twist on finding HO, and the puzzles were interesting. But I'm not a fan of straight HO games and there wasn't enough other content to keep me interested. If you like straight HO games without the adventure I'd give it a try.
