A free map is included with this SE, and it highlights areas which lead you to the next step so it's very helpful! The map and subtle sparkles took a lot of the stress out of the game and eliminated the need for hints.
The underwater graphics were beautiful. I didn't mind the characters repeating themselves, and the helpful "lost souls" added a feeling of community to the game.
HO scenes were delightfully simple, even if objects were replaced on subsequent visits.
A minor complaint, some of the adventure tasks required items that I had already used, gloves, an axe, a wrench, but I had to go find new ones again. Tasks could have benefited from a little more imagination, or at least let us use more the similar items over again. The pesky octopus was a cute addition though.
The adventure itself was nice, I enjoyed the storyline even if I've heard similar ones before, and the tasks made logical sense so there was a feeling of accomplishment after completing something.
The storyline was nice, the main character was likable, the graphics outside of the HO scenes were beautiful, and the witty banter was funny and interesting. The HO scenes however, were terrible. Extreme junk piles, they tried to change it up by offering different types of HO scenes but it didn't help. The misclick penalty was super quick, lots of dark, poorly hidden objects. I played through the free trial and wish I could keep playing for the storyline but decided not to buy.
I played on expert mode, great level of difficulty for an intermediate player. The graphics were very nice even if a little dark, but no over the top creepiness if you're tired of the horror stories.
Many HO scenes require you to put a contraption together after you find all the parts, which adds something fun and different.
Hints are very helpful, if you're not in the right scene they'll show you a picture of the scene you need to get to and accurately direct you to the next action.
The game is hardly a sappy love story thank goodness, I'm not sure why it's called Love Chronicles at all, but more so a prince trying to free an island from a witch's black magic.
The journal is helpful and really pretty, like a scrapbook, although it's out of order at times and shows things you haven't even done yet.
Like other reviews said, this is truly an exceptional, well-made game. Great original idea for HO scenes, typical story line but it kept me interested. Great graphics.
Like other reviewers said, the blinking arrows are unnecessary and kill the mood. In addition, the game wouldn't start properly on my Mac, I kept getting a "shut down unexpectedly" message about five times for every one time it did work.
The game itself is ok, the graphics are nice and the HO scenes are ok, I enjoyed the puzzles. It is an easier game.
I would have bought it but I couldn't get over the glitches.
I don't recommend this game.

Mystery P.I.: Stolen in San Francisco
Millions of dollars of gold has been stolen from an armored car. Find and return the gold before the trail goes cold!
I only made it to the first two scenes, this is a arcade-style HO with no adventure and from what I can see, solely HO with a handful of puzzles. I played the Book of Secrets which was done slightly better due to the witty dialogue, but there was none of that here.
I played through the trial and it was an ok game, the HO scenes weren't bad and the storyline was ok. But the whole game was just ok, there was nothing about it that inspired me to buy it.
If you have extra money and time I'd recommend it, otherwise pass.
I played the sequel, All Revved Up before this one and thought this was better. The scenes are more interactive and Kira is more likable than the race car driver. Both are fun and challenging games and a nice pace from the horror stories. The dialogue is witty and fun and you can click on random objects for some extra humor.
the graphics reminded me of the very first 007 game that came out on whatever nintendo console that was. which was all good back then but just not my thing now.
This was such a great concept, but the HO scenes killed it for me. The graphics were detailed but I'm realizing I don't like that type of drawing, there was no depth perception, just piles and piles of junk. Some HO were nearly impossible to see, and some of the objects I'd never even heard of before. There was no misclick penalty and the hint button recharged fairly quickly so that saved me. Also good was the banter between the brother and sister.
I'm disappointed because this could have been much more fun if they had included interesting puzzles and better-drawn scenes. Towards the end I couldn't wait for it to be over.
