This could have been a great game but it failed in my opinion. I only played the trial but that was enough for me to know I didn't want to buy it.
First the good stuff, I like the scenery graphics, very attractive. But the whole 'real actor' video clips of real people is just too much for me. You clearly have artsy graphics with the real people element and it doesn't mix well.
Also, normally with CE's you can still get an idea if the full game is worth it. But when they 'lock' so much content so you can't even peak at what you get for your money it just says to me they either have nothing good to show or not enough to warrant a CE price/purchase.
Had they not had the 'real people' video clip element and had they given us some sort of idea what we get with the CE, I most likely would have bought it.

I absolutely loved the first one. It's one of the few series I actually play 'timed' (Royal Envoys & Island Tribes are the others). I play them timed cause it's challenging but not 'rip your hair out' frustrating to get the gold time.
That being said, this one is pretty much like the last one. The graphics are the same as well as many of the characters. There are a few new ones including robbers who will steal your resources if you don't collect them quick enough. This can get annoying at times but it does keep your attention as a result.
What I love most about this series is the click queuing. You can queue multiple actions which allows you more flexibility in deterring the robbers.
I like the mini games and the added puzzle element. You have to collect a 'puzzle' piece in each level in order to assemble the puzzle in the bonus round.
All in all I'd say this is a good follow up to the first and it does appear that it has more levels than the original.
First off, I was drawn to this game by the 'five-star' rating. But none of the reviews thus far are informative.
The graphics are decent, as is the sound. But the gameplay stinks. You have no instructions - you start a new game and are put in the middle of a field with no idea where to go or what to do. I tried and tried to figure out where, moving around in a bunch of different directions. After 10 minutes, I exited the game.
Once again, the reviews here are pretty accurate. So I'm gonna make this simple. IF you loved the other Royal Envoys, you're sure to love this one. Anytime a developer releases a sequel I always worry they will mess it up. This game is no such case.
Let's start by what I didn't like about the game - oops, there isn't anything.
The premise is similar. You are appointed by the king to build houses. Cedric is back as well! The graphics are the same while the houses and castle have been slightly altered in their appearance.
There is an untimed option if you so choose. The timed levels do get more difficult as the game progresses. The REs and Island Tribes are generally the only time-managment games I do timed, cause they are completely doable without having to rip your hair out.
The voices and music, again - same. Not complaining, as I said don't fix what ain't broken.
One of the many things I love most about the RE series is what you get for your money in the CEs. You get a 'walkthrough' (which comes in VERY handy for those endlessly frustrating levels!). You also get a pretty in-depth achievement system, not to mention the 114 levels! A heck of a lot better than the standard 40 levels you see in most time-management games.
I would normally say don't waste your time with the demo, just buy it. However, I always try the demos first - just in case. Plus, how can you waste time among royalty!

Despite only having two reviews posted, I decided to give this game a go. It sounded interesting and it certainly was.
I like the combination of resource management & defending in battle. It has a slight 'LOTR' mentality to it. You're defending your territory using armies of soldiers, archers, pikemen and so on.
Between battle waves you can focus on your resources and upgrading your buildings. During battle, you can easily replace fallen army members if you have the resources to do so.
The game has a lot more to it than it sounds. There are numerous upgrades and bonuses to acquire and the game really does require concentration and skill to win.
It's not super easy and not super hard. I've only played the classic level and it has been plenty challenging for me. I assume once I get the hang of the game and beat the classic mode I will try the harder ones.
Definitely an engrossing game. If you like battle games (such as Royal Defense) you will like this game.
I recommend this game!

Bus Driver
Transport passengers following a planned route according to a timetable and learn the basics of professional driving!
When I first saw this game I kind of did a double take. The game looked simple enough, leading me to believe there wasn't much to it. But I could clearly see from the sample pics and video that the graphics were exceptional.
Then there is the near 5-star rating here on BFG. I've found most reviews on this site, in my experience, are quite accurate with the exception of a few 'did we play the same game?' moments. This isn't one of those exceptions. It is worthy of its rating.
When I finally decided to give the game a go I expected it to be frustrating, which it is - but in the way this kind of game should be. I agree with others that the bus is hard to control at times - BUT you can change the commands to whatever you want - use the letter 'L' for left turn for example. It makes controlling the bus easier. That and adjusting the camera view. I changed the view to what it would look like if I was driving the bus vs the default view of camera from a rear view overlooking the outside of the bus. This makes the game much more enjoyable.
As I mentioned above- yes, it is hard to control the bus at times, but vehicles are supposed to require effort to drive correctly. It's not oversensitive as I thought it would be. Just hard in the way that a large vehicle would be.
The levels do get harder as you progress and they are repeatable either after you finish the level or at a later time if you wish to try to get a better score. You get scored based on how happy your passengers are, whether you used correct turn signals, braked properly, arrived at destination on time and obeyed traffic rules etc. So there is a concept to this game.
The demo hour flew by and I found myself wanting more play time. Hence, buy the game, play forever.
This installment of the latest NT saga is pretty simple. It's the exact same premise of its two predecessors. That's not necessarily a bad thing - this game being a prime example. Don't fix what isn't broken.
The graphics are the same as the previous two, as are the buildings, pickup items and goals. The only added element is the Eagle transport within the levels. It's a minor addition but a good one at that.
There is an achievement system as there was in the prior installments as well as different methods of gameplay, including an 'untimed' option.
The bottom line is also simple. If you loved the previous two you will love this oen.

Based on the Demo - I normally wait until I've completed at least half a game before writing a review - but there have been exceptions. This is such an example of that.
I was drawn to this game by the mystery factor as well as what appeared to be decent graphics. I played the game for the full demo and with each passing action I waited for the shoe to drop - for the game to go downhill but it just didn't happen. In the one hour demo - I played only two HOS and the ones I did - were 'puzzle' HOS. You see a silhouette of an item and you find it and use it to interact with the scene. For example, find a screwdriver and use it to open a locked drawer to find another item.
I found the graphics and storyline to be quite compelling. The Extras and gameplay really won me over. Not only do you get to choose a player mode - but its COMPLETELY customizable - which is AWESOME! You can also change any part of the mode at any time. It's all adjustable. There are achievements to win, collections to complete and morphing objects to find. You have an integrated strategy guide and a map that allows you to jump to different scenes.
IMO, if you play it for ten minutes and love it - buy it. It doesn't get worse, it only gets better.

Let me start with the good...the grapics are cute and the music is pleasant. However the voiceovers of the workers gets repetitive and annoying. The level layouts are well done with lots of different tasks and a great trophy system.
That being said, while I do love a challenging game, I don't like frustrating ones. For one, I consider myself pretty seasoned at TM games and I enjoy all the Royal Envoys & Island Tribes for the same reasons I like this one - BUT RE & IT games are challenging and doable. When I find myself ready to pull my hair out at the fourth level, it's not worth playing to me.
Finally, there is no untimed mode - which I often choose with TM games that are too inaccurate for timing but this game doesn't have them. And if you don't finish the level before the time is up, you have to redo it and can't progress til you do. Nice concept when it works, like with Royal Envoy - but those games are doable (even if you have to repeat a few levels).
With TM games that require you to redo a level using a different strategy to pass it, I enjoy them. But with games that are frustrating no matter what strategy you use, it just ain't fun. Games are supposed to be fun and relaxing - even challenging - but not frustrating.
My advice, try the demo - you may find yourself luckier than I. But for me, this garden just ain't producing good crops.

First off, I normally find that the reviews here on Big Fish are quite accurate - but this is an exception. This is one of the worst HOGs I have played here on BFG and I've played A LOT.
Let's start with the good things - the graphics are exceptional. There is an achievement system and morphing objects to collect. But that's the only good.
For a CE, this game falls far short. For one, the strategy guide is NOT integrated - you have to exit to the main menu to view it and it isn't that good a guide.
The worst parts of the game are that you have no 'instructions' on where to go and the hint button does NOT work outside of the HO scenes. There is no map to refer too nor and explanation on the puzzles. You can check the guide for an 'idea' but you really have to guess what the puzzle is and then try to solve it.
I was considering getting this game during the 2 for the price of 1 sale, but it wasn't even worth that.
If you are looking for a game that's a waste of money, time and extremely frustrating - this is the game for you.
I was sad to see such inaccurate reviews here. Five stars? Really? Not even close IMO.
