I am a huge jigsaw puzzle fan - though I admit I'm not much for video game versions of it. However, this game is an exception. The ability to make your own puzzles appealed to me. But it doesn't stop there. You can choose the number of pieces, size, shape and so on. It's incredible how much of the game is customizable. The option of having 'trays' to hold and organize different sorts of pieces is very handy. You can also create your own folders to organize your custom puzzles or even the ones included with the game.
If you love jigsaw puzzles, you'll love this game. Period.

This review is based on the free trial of the Collector's Edition. The storyline is quite good, as are the graphics. The HO scenes are different in that instead of a written list of objects to find, you have little pictures, which helps.
There are a LOT of puzzles, more than your average HO in my opinion which only adds to the gameplay. I have not tried the bonus game, so I can't comment on that.
The best part of the game for me is the other bonus content. You collect trophies and gain achievements, which I really like in a game - it gives you a set of goals to add to the completion. The puzzles may be too easy for some, but I rather enjoyed them. I like a bit of a challenge, but not so challenging you want to pull your hair out. Another good part is that the HO scenes & many of the puzzles are all intertwined into the storyline. Overall, a great game.

I downloaded the free trial to give this game a try, since it was part of the 'daily deal' and has received such high reviews. I'm not familiar with the first one, but I am familiar with 'Stand O Food', a somewhat similar game.
However, I am not a fan of 'Stand O Food'. So, I went into this game with low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. I played 'Burger Shop 2' for less than 5 minutes and I was hooked. I wanted to play at least a few levels before reviewing it, and it just got better with each level.
What I particularly like is the ease of gameplay. Yes, there is a challenge. You can earn rewards/trophies, and there are several modes of gameplay (story, challenge, relaxed) But the challenges in the story mode are more 'common sense' rather than annoying things such as having to fill an order in a particular order like you do with 'Stand O Food'.
All in all, I think 'Burger Shop 2 is a great game.

I'm not very fussy on game genre, I'm more fussy about game playability and fun factor. That being said - with time management/strategy games it's usually hit-or-miss IMO. This game is a hit. The game is stable and playable. The graphics are pretty neat (though not 'high-graphic') and there is a storyline that goes along with it.
What my major gripe with this genre of game is the playability factor - Is it stable? Is it challenging, Is it winnable? This game is all three of those. The added element of being able to go back and replay a level if you don't achieve the 'gold trophy' time achievement makes all the difference. You can get used to a level, try different methods to see which route produces the best result.
Some TM games are either too easy to play or too hard/frustrating to enjoy. This game is neither of those IMO. Give the trial version a try if you wish, but if TM games are your thing - this game will please you.
I recommend this game!

This is an awesome platform game. I was immediately intrigued by the realistic, yet humorous storyline that accompanies the game. The graphics are pretty decent and the gameplay is quite enjoyable. The levels are not only completable, but you can go back and replay them if you missed something.
If you are a platform game fan, this is one game for you. I think it's even better than Supercow (which is a pretty awesome game).
The only thing that would make this game better is having an 'achievement' section for winning trophies like in other games. Other than that, it's a winner in my book.

This game has all the makings of what could've been a great game. I'm a lover of platform games, and this game is just that. However, your inability to customize the controls as well as an extremely hyper-sensitive element to gameplay makes it more a nuisance than an enjoyable platform game. (Even on 'normal' sensitivity it is aggravating, and a 'low sensitivity' is not an option for some reason).
If the controls were customizable and the sensitivity were not such an aggravation I would have given this game a much higher rating with a much better review.

While the graphics of this game are quite well done you cannot truly enjoy them. Reason being, the strain it puts on your eyes is not avoidable.
I highly recommend trying the 'free trial' version versus outright buying it. Maybe the visual element won't affect you, but for me - it completely impeded my ability to enjoy the game.

As far as 'Halloween' themed games go, this game delivers on 'theme' alone. The graphics are quite similar, in fact almost identical, to 'Vampires vs Zombies' which is a plus IMO. This game has a fun factor as well as requiring some thinking on the players part. You don't spend hours upon hours 'waiting for something to do'. There is always a task to do and as soon as you finish one, another will pop up.
The best thing with regard to that is that there is no 'time limit' to tasks, and the 'hint/tip' option is very helpful (and can be turned off if you wish).
You are also given a warning when invaders seize to steal your items which comes in very handy given the large game map.
Any game that can keep my attention longer than 10 minutes is a winner in my book - and this one certainly does.
All in all, I think it's a pretty little decent task-centered game that you'll enjoy if you like such themed games.
I recommend this game!

When I bought this game - it appealed to me. I had not yet seen the movie nor do I care to 'compare' games to their respective movies since doing that is like comparing books to their respective movies. They are not same and never are.
That being said - the graphics of this game are decent and the game starts off with lots of promise. However, it quickly goes downhill.
My biggest complaint is the storyline - it builds up and then boom - it crashes. There is no closure to the storyline nor is their any 'cliffhanger' which would inspire you to get the sequel (if there was one).
As mentioned in other reviews, the whole 'migraine' effect which appears during HO scenes if you click on the wrong thing too many times - is rather annoying.

I'm a huge HOG fan and this game doesn't disappoint. The HO scenes are fantastic and easy enough to find with the added element of having to complete tasks to find certain objects. The puzzles varied from very fun to very frustrating - depending on the level of difficulty you prefer. What impressed me most about this game was the visual and audio detailing. The storyline is fantastic. I won't ruin it with spoilers. I'll just say this, if you love HOG games with twists and suspense, this is a game for you.
*NOTE: I HIGHLY recommend you get the 'Collector's Edition' as the bonus chapter is really more a 'conclusion' to the story, whereas the standard edition leaves you with a 'cliffhanger'
