I found the story of this game excellent and engaging. The graphics of all locations however were blurred and very poorly done. You would have to go back about 8+ years to find games with graphics this poorly done. Eipix is a seasoned developer and there is just no excuse for this. I'm still at a loss for why BFG allows game quality to continue to fall like this. Shorter games, worsening graphics, no logic, and ridiculously easy puzzles...remind me again why we should continue to buy/play these games???
While the cut-scene graphics won't win any awards, the story is engaging and maintained my interest. If a small developer can do this, it makes you wonder why the larger and more mature developers can't do it also!
It seems Amax games keep getting shorter and shorter. The graphics are very nice in this game. The game itself is exactly like every other AMAX game these days....they are all mostly the same game rehashed over and over. Regardless of story or game play, based on how short the game is, there is no way I will buy the CE. The value is just not there. I honestly don't understand the logic behind making these games shorter and shorter.
It seems like I'm writing the same review over and over. In fact, I am because it's the same tired old premise, cookie cutter tasks, etc in game after game, and especially in this series. Every game in this series is exactly like the one before. I actually like Domini Games but this series needs to end...and soon! Other's have detailed the issues so I won't rehash them here. I highly suggest a demo before purchasing this!
If you want very poorly done graphics that look like they were produced 10-15 years ago, look no further than this game. It was so badly done that I didn't last more than 10 minutes into the trial before I uninstalled. Really Bigfish and Artifex?
I made the mistake of buying this game without trialing it. Big mistake. This is the most boring game I've played in a long time. I thought Amax had finally turned the corner, but I was sadly mistaken. The graphics and challenge are ok, but what good is that if you bored stiff. I absolutely suggest trialing this before buying!
It's been a long time since I gave a 5 star review. The developer has done a terrific job with this game. Beautiful graphics, moderate to challenging puzzles, and a great story line. Not much else to say but that I loved it. Give the trial a spin. You might like it too!
What has big fish games become.....here's one answer...an endless stream of serial games done to the lowest standards of quality possible. This game is typical of AMAXs most recent fair. In a nutshell, it's bottom rung quality and an endless array of the same bland tasks we've seen a thousand times over. This game is short and boring. If you don't trial it before buying...well, it's your wasted money. This series should have died about 7-8 games ago.
I bought this game and honestly thought I would end up kicking myself for doing so. Thankfully, I was wrong. I think Eipix did a great job of pulling together all of the elements from past MCF games. I also see why the reviews are so polarized. If someone never played the very early MCF games, they would definitely be put off by the way the game is structured. Especially the countless HOPS. My only gripe is why oh why did they choose to do such a cheesy job on the characters. Based on the earlier games I see no logical reason for it and it really keeps this from being a 5 star game.
This game is just plain awful. Bad/childish graphics. Ridiculous numbers of keys/amulets. Completely illogical/nonsensical tasks and the same game play as the last 12 months of games on BFG. There's only one good thing to say about this and all of the other recent games. I'm saving money by not purchasing them. I will say that Elephant was once my fave developer but those days are long gone. Maybe BFG needs some new developers with fresh ideas for a change!
