Elephant games used to be my fave developer by far. Over the past two years, they have become progressively worse. Every game now feels like the one before and the graphics get worse as well. This game is absolutely no different. It's the same old cliches over and over. Why does every game have to filled with ridiculous numbers of amulets, rusty things, and paper clip zipper pulls. BFG games from just 4 years ago had very little of this ridiculousness. This is a Mystery Trackers game IN NAME ONLY!! It's as if the developers no longer care and just continue to crank out games as cheaply as possible. Vote with your wallets, folks!
This game gets a big fat ZERO for quality. It's short, cartoonish graphics, logic fails, and ridiculously easy. Is it just me or are all of these games continuing to get worse with each passing month?
I'll start by saying that I'm not always the biggest Eipix fan, especially most of their most recent fare. However, I love this game and series. So often Eipix games lose their momentum quickly but these games manage to hold the excitement throughout, at least for me. I recommend this game highly. My only question is why the graphics and game length in so many of their other recent games don't match that of these games.
Judging by the demo and download size of the full game, this is very short game. I typically like AMAX games but I won't buy a game that's this ridiculously short. Their last few games I've completed in under 3 hours and the value is just not there for me.
I only lasted about 10-15 mins in the trial before uninstalling. If you like cartoons, this is the game for you. Madhead seems to have forgotten how to produce quality games.
When I bought this game, I was unsure as to whether I would like it or not. I'm about 50% of the way through it and it's a great game. Animations are very well done and no moving cardboard cut-outs! The developer also put in some unique spins on certain tasks and HOPs. It's about time we had a developer who did a little out-of-the-box thinking for a change! I DO recommend this game but, as always, I suggest trialing it first.
I made the mistake of buying this game. While the story is pretty good, the game is either ridiculously easy and no challenge or else it makes no sense as to why or what you are doing. AMAX definitely seems to have lost their way these days. This will likely be my last CE from them.
I used to be a Madhead fan but their games over the past year or so have just gone way downhill. This game is a prime example....It's short, graphics are cartoonish, it's mind-numbingly easy, and it employs just about every adventure game cliche possible. I realize that I'm really putting this down pretty hard, but it's time for Madhead to up the quality of their games in a major way.
As others have mentioned in their reviews, this game is plaqued by logic flaws and cliches....oil rusty items, paperclip zipper replacement, etc. Further, instead of puzzles I would call the mini-games "Busy work". It's not just Domini that does this. BFG has a big and growing problem in these areas and we're reaching the saturation point with the same old series, same old actions, and non-existent challenge in most of the adventure games these days.
I'll add to the pile of 5 star reviews for the return of Blue Tea. It was a sad day when BT moved into a new direction and the DP games were picked up by Eipix so as not to leave them abandoned. The old BT DP games are definitely some of the best and I've replayed them many times.
I've bought this game and have been playing it for over an hour now. It's very similar to the older games (incl. the difficulty options, which are exactly as the older games were - and intentionally so, I believe)
There are two places that there are differences from the past. (1) The HOP scenes aren't as detailed. The older BT HOPS could be difficult to the extreme and sometimes a little frustrating with how hidden they were but that was part of their uniqueness. (2) The characters are less detailed that I remember - although it's been a while since I last played one.
A high five to Blue Tea for returning to adventure games and here's hoping that they completely take back the reigns from Eipix with the next installment. While the Eipix DP games were not as good, I do give them credit for keeping the series alive these past few years.
