I trialed this for just a few minutes before purchasing it. It has become my favorite series ever since "Shadowland." In fact, this developer has trumped the Elephant for me as my fave developer. Of course, for me, graphics (while good here) are never "good enough." I long for the return of the days when BFG developed most of its major games and each iteration was better than the one before in terms of overall quality. That aside, definitely give this game a try to see if it's a game for you!
After so many negative reviews lately, I'm happy to finally give a positive review of a game and this one deserves it! The graphics in the scenes is very well done. The challenge is just right for me and this game makes you think a little instead of just hand-holding all the way through. I'm almost finished with the main game (purchased) and it has been consistently well-done throughout. One criticism is that the cut-scenes were not all that great, but this is a problem across nearly all developers on BFG - and one that I wish would be corrected. Well done cutscenes can't add that much to download size nor should they stress lower end machines to cause support issues. That aside, my hat is off to this smaller developer for a great game!
I didn't even play the demo for very long. There was just nothing about it that appealed to me. The download size of the full game points to a very short game overall also. The graphics were simplistic and cheesy. Tastes vary, so give a try before you buy.
I bought this after giving it a brief trial. Initially, I thought I wouldn't like it when I first saw it, but I just finished the entire game and found it enjoyable. I wasn't the biggest fan of the washed-out color scheme chosen for it, and there were a few quirky game mechanics at times (but nothing that was a showstopper). I was also concerned about play length at the start but that was OK as well. I will give it a recommendation, but I do suggest a trial to see if it's for you.
Elephant games used to be my fave developer by far. Over the past two years, they have become progressively worse. Every game now feels like the one before and the graphics get worse as well. This game is absolutely no different. It's the same old cliches over and over. Why does every game have to filled with ridiculous numbers of amulets, rusty things, and paper clip zipper pulls. BFG games from just 4 years ago had very little of this ridiculousness. This is a Mystery Trackers game IN NAME ONLY!! It's as if the developers no longer care and just continue to crank out games as cheaply as possible. Vote with your wallets, folks!
This game gets a big fat ZERO for quality. It's short, cartoonish graphics, logic fails, and ridiculously easy. Is it just me or are all of these games continuing to get worse with each passing month?
I'll start by saying that I'm not always the biggest Eipix fan, especially most of their most recent fare. However, I love this game and series. So often Eipix games lose their momentum quickly but these games manage to hold the excitement throughout, at least for me. I recommend this game highly. My only question is why the graphics and game length in so many of their other recent games don't match that of these games.
Judging by the demo and download size of the full game, this is very short game. I typically like AMAX games but I won't buy a game that's this ridiculously short. Their last few games I've completed in under 3 hours and the value is just not there for me.
I only lasted about 10-15 mins in the trial before uninstalling. If you like cartoons, this is the game for you. Madhead seems to have forgotten how to produce quality games.
When I bought this game, I was unsure as to whether I would like it or not. I'm about 50% of the way through it and it's a great game. Animations are very well done and no moving cardboard cut-outs! The developer also put in some unique spins on certain tasks and HOPs. It's about time we had a developer who did a little out-of-the-box thinking for a change! I DO recommend this game but, as always, I suggest trialing it first.
